I discovered the bad parts in the pump and completed the repair myself. American Home Shield refused to send a competent and honest contractor in place of Pool Techs so I obtained new parts from Leslies and rebuilt the pump. I also fixed the short in the motor they provided as a replacement for the seized motor that had precipitated the call to American Home Shield in the first place. I also cancelled my American Home Shield contract as they refused to address my legitimate concerns with Pool Techs of Henderson.

This so called contractor was sent by my warranty company. Worst service ever and this is what i ended up with after 3 visits several calls to the office and speaking to a supervisor named Ken who liked to tell me I assumed a lot of things when the tech that came out never even turned the pool on in all 3 visits! The tech that came out was angry when i wanted to see what she had done and was like OMG then basically it went downhill from there were i told her after arguing over her so called completed repair to get off my property.
Replaced my tank clamp with a supposed "refurbished" clamp that looks like it came out of junk yard, scratched falling apart and two large scrapes of the metal missing on it the size of my hand in each spot . Replaced with also a so called bolt that was either again "refurbished" and its very worn.
Instead of replacing the pipe that runs in to the pool pump outlet the tech cut it in half and put in a piece of PVC plumbing that looks like what is used for a sprinkler system - as a matter of fact i have a ton in my garage that look just like it - then she glued it to the pump and there is just a huge mass of glue there. Is that acceptable repair on ANY LEVEL? Please note at this time I am afraid to run my pool because that PVC must be certain thickness and who knows what she used may not be strong enough to withstand the pressure. NOTE - also because of this repair not being done properly my contract with AHS clearly states that if their are incorrect parts on the equipment your warranty will not cover them for repairs.
Instead of replacing the leaking pipe on the pool inlet piece she just put another mass ton of glue on it.
There were two leaks on the bulkhead mast those may have been fixed but as I'm afraid to turn on my pool I don't know.
I wish we could post pictures here so people could see this disaster of a so called repair, it's the worst thing i have ever seen. It has already been looked at by another company and they could not believe I "let" someone get away with this. Home warranty company is sending another contractor out to hopefully repair their mess.
I hope anyone that has AHS reads this and if they try to offer you this contractor DO NOT use them. I never write reviews but I joined Angie's list specifically to warn people about this contractor. .

On time: Left the pool in worse shape then when the warranty company called them. Example 1: One valve was to be screwed into place they glued it now I can move the screws with my fingers. Asked the tech why it was not screwed in THE REASON THE TECH STRIPPED THE SCREWS SO IT HAD TO BE GLUED??? Example 2.: Was told to wait 24 hrs before starting the pump waited 36 hrs turned on the pool and all it did was suck air. Called the office left a message no return call.
