I ordered it all online and I should have gone in and picked it up. The price was good for a laptop. Their responsiveness was great.

The service tech spent at least an hour checking the wiring and keyless entry system to try to determine if it was defective, all at NO CHARGE.  His conclusion was that the door locks appeared to be receiving inadequate power to make them work properly and that the keyless entry system was not at fault.  He was right.  We later determined that the Toyota wiring harness behind the dash was damaged and had to be replaced, which resolved the door lock problems.

Initially, the guy that came from the Geek Squad didn't know what he was doing. After 8 hours, the computer wasn't working. After 5 visits and several weeks, we finally gave up and called another computer service to come out and help us. They told us that the hard drive was broken. We called DELL, but they told us that we had to go through Best Buy because the warranty is through them. They had to send it back to DELL and we had to wait a few weeks. We got so upset for all of the trouble that we called the home office. They were sympathetic, and reimbursed the cost of the other computer repair service that we had come out. We were pleased that we were reimbursed for that service, but we were very disappointed in Best Buy's lack of service and knowledge, as well as their warranty service- that warranty set up requires you to go through Best Buy to reach the manufacturer.

When using the Geek Squad to get anything done with your computer, you have to roll the dice. Sometimes you get great people out to your house that know what they are doing and other times you get poor representation and bad quality work. The experience I had with the person that came, made me wait two and a half hours over the scheduled appointment. When he did arrive, he had no idea how to fix it. Luckily there was a person in the store, when I called back by the name of Bret who got someone else out right away and took care of the issue. Even though the price was good, I am going to look for someone else to service my computer. I didn't have to pay for this service call as it was a included in our initial cost of the system which was $1300.

The workers at Best Buy are ok, but it seems that whenever you want some help, there is no one around. They do have good prices on their stuff though, so that makes up for it.

Geek Squad explained the whole process of setting up the computer to a network and they did a good job at running things over with me very clearly. I am not quite sure it was worth the price, but, I have not had a single problem since they have been here. They were very ambitious and professional in pleasing me with the entire experience.

Geek Squad is very professional. It is a walk in service and it normally takes around three hours or so to finish a job. They remove all the kinks while I go out to lunch and shop around. I feel it is a nice and convenient service. When I am ready to return, everything is explained to me what was wrong and what was done to repair it. I feel they have good, honest to goodness folks who do good honest work.
