We went to Ashley's because there was a sale going on. We asked to see sleeper sofas and recliners. We were shown a sleeper sofa on Sale that was to be used in a family room for unexpected family guests if needed. Mainly just for family room use. The furniture arrived at requested time and was in what appeared to be good condition except for a couple of marks on the coffee table. A furniture repair tech came out in about a week to fix the coffee table. The furniture was placed in the living room, since we sold the formal living room set, replacing the family room set when we got the new set. The old family room set was placed on Craig's List and the new set unused for a couple of months. When the family room furniture was sold, we moved the new set from Ashley's into the family room and using it as planned. After a couple of weeks, we notices that the cushions were being crushed by the weight of people sitting on them. The frame was not supporting the cushions and was causing the cover of the cushion to move around the foam padding. You couldn't turn over the cushion since the fabric only went HALF WAY around the cushion then went to a cheap black fabric. I never noticed the cushions since I never turned them over. They were unused for a couple of months and only vacuumed as needed. When the cushions were examined, I then discovered a big gap under the arm rest that allowed the cushions to move to the side causing a split in the placement of the cushions on the sofa. The sofa looked like we had used it for 6 years in stead of only owning it 6 months. I am a senior citizen. We have no children and had no company use the sleeper or sofa. We only used the sleeper sofa for a month or two when we started to see the condition of the cushions. The frame was poorly designed and caused damage to the cushions with regular use. I called Ashley and told them I was going to move in a couple of weeks and was unhappy with the sofa and the recliners that came with it. I never saw the recliners before purchase. I took the word of the saleslady that the recliners were just as good as the sleeper sofa. THEY WERE. CHEAP and NOT WORTH THE PRICE. The seat offered NO lumbar support and having had surgery on my back, caused me much discomfort if I used the recliner. I tried to lie on the sofa but the cushions were being crushed by the frame. I was very displeased with the entire set. I called Ashley's and told them of the problem. I said I was going to move and didn't want to void my warranty by moving the sofa from the delivery address. They assured me that I could move the sofa to the new address and they would send a man out to see the problem. I moved. The movers handles the sofa well causing no damage and the recliners also. When the man from Ashley's arrived to check out the furniture, he said there was nothing wrong with the sofa. I showed him photos of the sofa on line at the Ashley's web site that I had printed and he said that was a picture of a NEW sofa not a USED sofa. I said a sofa shouldn't look like a 6 year old sofa after 6 months. He took photos of the crushed cushions and said there was nothing wrong with them. The men left and I was called the next day by a lady from Ashley's informing me that the best they could do was to replace the cushions. I said what good was that if the cushions would just be crushed again by not being supported by the frame? She said that was the best she could do. I said I didn't want cash back, just to pick another sofa and recliner. Equal to price or even pay the difference on a more expensive sofa. She said NO. I am very disappointed with Ashley's Furniture. This furniture is JUNK. Made in CHINA, and I thought Ashley's furniture was made in the USA by ASHLEY. I was wrong on that, too. I will NEVER BUY FROM ASHLEY'S again. Check the cushions of your next sofa purchase and if the upholstery doesn't go all the way around, DON'T BUY IT. It's JUNK. Gaps between the cushions is caused by poor design and poorly fitting cushions. I'm stuck with paying off $2000.00 worth of CHINESE JUNK and I'm Retired on Social Security. I'm sorry I ever walked into Ashley's Home Furniture.

It is as stated above. Everything is like pulling teeth with Ashley Furniture. NEVER AGAIN
Description of Work: Purchased a leather (?) love seat. I also purchased an extended warranty on the covering. About 10 months later the covering was discolored in a spot. I called and a customer service rep. come out and told me it wasn't their fault and was also told only a small portion was leather. I called customer service again and a different rep. came out and suggested a solution that I agreed to. I was told I would receive a call in two days. That never happened. In trying to follow up on that I was told the warranty had expired. I pointed out that I had the extended and at the time I reported it, the orginal warranty was in effect. Then their claim was that I had not applied the leather protection on and I told them I have been doing that. It boils down to the fact that these are not honest people and not a place to spend your money.

Purchased a desk, chair, and two book shelves from Ashley Furniture, 661 Mall Ring Cir, Henderson, NV. When the delivery person arrived on 11/18/2012, he notified me that one bookshelf was damaged at the warehouse and would be delivered at a later date. At quick glance, the desk, chair, and the one bookshelf looked fine. Unfortunately, I signed for the furniture and the delivery men left. Upon closer inspection of the bookshelf, there was damage to the top shelf, inside hinge, and left side panel. Also found a large screw with washer laying on the floor beneath the desk. My wife called Ashley customer service immediately and was told that Ashley would send a repair technician to inspect the furniture for possible repair or replacement, the decision to be made by the repair tech, and this was the only route to take since the furniture had been signed for. The repair tech arrived on 11/30/2012 and said that the bookshelf could be repaired. The repair work to the bookshelf was acceptable and the screw was placed into the correct part of the desk, but I am displeased with having to have new furniture "repaired." My wife and I will not be purchasing from Ashley Furniture in the future. Before signing for any furniture delivery, inspect each piece using a flashlight. If needed, crawl underneath the furniture. But by all means, do not let the delivery men leave and do not sign anything until a thorough inspection can be completed. I should have signed up for Angie's List earlier. I would have read the other review about Ashley Furniture and would not have made a purchase there.
Description of Work: Ashley Furniture delivered three pieces of furniture out of four on 11/18/2012. I was told upon arrival that one piece of furniture had been damaged at the warehouse and would be delivered at a later date.

Description of Work: We purchased a couch, which was fabricated for us in our requested color. On delivery, the couch seemed to be different from what we sat on in the store. With no questions asked, Ashley took back the couch in exchange for another. They charged us only half the original delivery charge to deliver the replacement couch and pick-up the first one. Smooth operation.
