The guy that came out was very responsive and gave me options. The workmanship was fine as well.

They were great! They gave a very competitive bid. Their worker was phenomenal. They forgot to put something in, but we didn't notice. It was weather stripping. They called us and said, "It should have been in and we'll be by tomorrow and put it." They were just great people to deal with. The worker showed up and gave us an estimate. Then before it was final, the owner of the company came by and checked it out and helped us note down exactly what doors and what windows. I thought that was cool too. I'm very, very happy with their professionalism and their work.

They did a great job, were here on time, fast, efficient and I believe the 10 year warranty was reasonable.

The garage door could not be opened so we were in a bit of a hurry to get it fixed.  Action showed up early the next morning and repaired it for a lot less than I expected to have to spend.  They were polite and professional, suggesting other upgrades but not pushing in any way.  I would absolutely recommend them. 

Was very impressed with the fact that I was able to schedule an appointment for the following day, right after I purchased the tune-up service through Angie's List. I had called up the owner directly who surprisingly answered despite it being on a Sunday!  Ruben arrived promptly the next day and was very efficient & professional. He even applied lubrication on our second garage door (not included in the service that I paid for) as a courtesy, which I really appreciated since both garage doors had probably not been tended to in years. Would highly recommend this company for service.

While the work was done very well, it seemed expensive for just 15 minutes of work per door, but maybe those rollers are expensive parts.

It was a really great deal.  Jerame showed up on time, was professional and was done in no time.  I appreciated that he did not try to upsell me, but was very informative about my garage door and things too look for in the future.  I asked him about replacing the seal at the bottom of my door, and he had the part with him for a reasonable price.  I was thrilled!  I would definitely recommend Action Garage Door Company.

Our garage door jammed as it was being closed, late on a Friday evening, the weekend before Christmas and with out-of-town guests arriving the next day. The door was half-closed, badly skewed, roller wheels had fallen out of their sockets, and one door lift cable had knotted up. We couldn't budge the door, even with the motor drive detached, and of course no car could be moved in or out.
We spoke with owner Dave on Friday night. He was sensitive to our dilemma and arranged to have repairman Rubin at our house by 9:30 the next morning. Rubin made fast work of the problems... he fixed the cable, leveled the door, replaced the rollers, and repaired a bent door track bracket ... all within 35 minutes. He then tested the door (it worked normally) and our emergency was resolved. Rubin also gave us an estimate we requested for updating our 11-year-old door's moving parts hardware if this problem recurred. The price that Action charged for our door repair was very reasonable, especially because our house is miles off the local highway and the work was done on a weekend.

I had hit the door (a custom size 15-foot roll-up door) with the front of a horse trailer and thought I was looking at a repair that would cost me $1000 or more.  I blindly picked Action Garage Door Company out of the Yellow Pages because they advertised 24-hour service and, as it was a Saturday, I wasn't sure anyone else would be available.  The call was answered immediately and before long I was contacted by Jeremy who let me know he was on his way and how long it would be before he got here.  He assessed the damage and asked if it was important to me that the end result was "pretty".  I said absolutely not if it could save me money!  He gave me an estimate that made me smile and got to work immediately.  Jeremy fixed the door expertly and efficiently, only pausing long enough to ask me if the job met my expectations.  He was friendly and professional and the icing on the cake was that he eased my embarrassment about the stupid thing I had done.  I am so happy that I called Action and know that if I have any garage door problems in the future, I will definitely call them again.

Based on reviews on Angie?s List, we called Dave Billings at Action Garage Door to arrange for a quote on a new garage door for a house we had just bought. His representative in Reno, Ruben Garcia, came over the same day and explained the various options we had, and gave us a written quote on the spot. We chose them to do the job, and scheduled a day for the work. Ruben is knowledgeable and pleasant, and very good at his job, and he did a superb installation. Our installation is a two car garage door with an insulated vinyl back, and with a Lift Master opener with a belt drive. It is really quiet and a great change from the old one. I would not hesitate to recommend Action for service, repairs, or new garage doors.

tI figured I'd have to wait at least until  Monday to have someone come out, but Jeremy arrived later in the day on Friday.  After looking at my door, he told me the cables were not snapped and had just come loose.  He went over the options of what I could do for the repairs and let me know exactly what the priorities were and what could wait.  There was never any hard sell to try to get me to buy anything I didn't need, and I really appreciated that.  He worked quickly, efficiently, and had the door repaired in no time.  Jeremy even did a couple of other things to help the door move up and down more smoothly and kept working at it until he was satisfied with the door's operation.  He was thorough, knowledgeable, friendly, and professional every step of the way. I certainly will recommend Action Garage Doors to neighbors and friends.

Originally, we just wanted to have 2 openers replaced and the doors serviced.  Jeremy told us that the doors also needed replacing since they were old, hinges were breaking, rails were worn out and they doors would need serving often is we only replaced the openers.  We weren?t sure at first but since they are 30 years old and chain driven, we decided to replace them also.  We got 3 quotes from different companies.  All 3 bids were close but we decided to go with Action because of Jeremy.   He got a late start on the day of installation due to another call but even though it was late, he didn?t leave until the job was done.  He even cleaned up!!  The doors are beautiful and so quiet and no more dripping grease from the chains.  I highly recommend this business

I called at 8:00am and Jerame arrived at about 10:00am.  He looked everything over and quoted me a very reasonable price to fix my garage doors...after he was finished, he lubed and checked my other two garage doors,, they all opened a lot more smoothly and quietly..no more creaking and grinding.
Excellent service will definitely be calling them again...I also signed up for their yearly tune-up service call...sounds like a great deal since we don't seem to find the time to do the twice yearly service ourselves...definitely worth the cost of piece of mind!

The main torsion spring broke on my garage door.  I called them and they came out the next morning.   My door had only one spring and they said it really needed two because of the size.  Every thing on the door was worn out after 10 years of nonstop use.   They replaced every moving part with new and heavier duty stuff and gave me a ten year no question warranty.

Reuben came out on the first call and replaced the hardeware to the middle garage door that was not working, he also oiled and serviced the other two doors. When he was done the middle door would not work! Something was wrong with the control panel. My husband also wanted the bottom sealing rubber replaced on the doors, a part that Rueben did not have.
Joseph and Jeramy came out today and finished the job. Wasp had destroyed my control panel on the middle garage door, so I purchased a new opener that is a dream! They replaced all the bottom sealing rubber that needed replaced.

Response time was very impressive.  I called at about 8 am and Jerame and Joseph were at my house approx an hour later.  They were very professional and extremely knowledgeable. Primary reason for service was broken spring. After assessing immediate problem, Jerame and Joseph offered several recommendations that would extend the life of my current repair and general operation of my 13 year old garage door, eliminating the need for ongoing repairs in the years to come. I don't anticipate any problems in the near future but would definitely call them again should there be a problem.

Fixed multiple issues we were having with openers, door closure, and main unit.  Took awhile to get a return call, but the technician that responded and then performed the service was excellent.
