The job involved many elements, including Slope erosion control, new plantings and subsurface irrigation, rainwater runoff mitigation & drainage, Soil compaction, embedding of large walkway pavers, and the building of an attractive stone ramp to safely navigate the path to the lower rear yara & gate to golf course. Scope also included poring of a concrete pad and construction of a small greenhouse bolted to the concrete.

Pavers placed on large backyard patio and under porte cochere and sealed them. Beautiful •Constucted 2 stone retaining walls, each one 150’ long-excellent! •Installed 125’ of wrought iron with 3 gates-sturdy & beautiful. •Planted 10 large trees, 20 smaller evergreens and staked them, planted 50 shrubs and plants , all on an irrigation system that he installed. Added different decorative rock on planters and the retaining walls and added several boulders on the property. The design was beautiful. •He designed much of the work with our input. •Installed 2 transformers for my low voltage outdoor lighting. Yes, the work was for a newly constructed home. I found Douglas on the internet after the well known landscaper in Carson City never ever returned my calls. Didn’t know it then, but that was a blessing that he didn’t. And his prices are very fair. Get a comparable quote from other folks and you’ll understand what I experienced.

Our new home had a dirt backyard and we found On Deck Fence and Landscaping to landscape for us. We had sod, sprinklers, drainage, curbing, rock, DG, brick patio, and fencing installed. They not only had the best bid to fit in our budget, but also the most professional and knowledgeable. Douglas was great and communicated the plans thoroughly. Douglas was extremely professional and helpful. A large portion of my fence got blown down in a storm. I reached out to Douglas and got a response immediately. The work was all done within just a few days. Douglas found that an additional portion of the fence also needed to be replaced and did so at no extra cost. The new fencing looks fantastic and I cannot recommend Douglas and his team enough.

Before finding Douglas with On Deck Fencing and Landscaping, I spent 6 months attempting to get the project completed. I went through 5 other landscaping companies who could either not return phone calls, keep appointments, provide an estimate, or were simply not interested in doing xeriscape. Douglas responded the same day to my initial request for the project. Throughout the design and installation phases, he maintained communication and gave advance notice if there was a scheduling change or material substitute needed. After an initial in person consultation where he walked the property, he provided computer designed 3D models of his proposed landscape for our home. The models and overall design for the landscaping was outstanding. Once the design was approved, Douglas and On Deck Fence and Landscaping provided an estimate and timetable for the project. The project was completed within a week and ahead of schedule. The crew was polite and kept the work area clean and orderly while the project was going. I am completely satisfied with the work and service provided by On Deck. Douglas is a true professional and made the front of our home beautiful. Highly recommended!

Douglas and his guys clearly care about their work. They were meticulous with their creations. Our yard was neat and clean every day when they left. The crew was here every day until the job was finished. The job was completed in a couple days less than we were told. Douglas listened to what our basic concept was and did not try to talk us into more than what we wanted. He designed our yard, not his. The 3 D image of the plan was amazing! We are extremely happy with the final outcome! And look forward to a back yard in the near future. The crew members were all hardworking and courteous. I canâ t say enough good things about On Deck Fence, their team was fantastic. Very professional and courteous from estimate through job completion. They finished the project early and were on time each day. I couldnâ t ask more from a contractor, especially the owner, Douglas.
