The house is always in perfect shape when I return- clean, fresh linen on the beds, garden looking great, cat happy as a clam at high tide.  She always sets the alarm when she leaves the house, although she works at home a lot so is a visible presence here, which I like.  She has had family visit her here (with my ok- she always asks first) and there have never been any problems.  I pay her $600 a month and never even have a single worry about being away.  Having been burglarized once long ago I prefer to  pay her to house sit instead of renting the house to strangers over the summer- and all that involves: putting away everything I care about.  I highly recommend her for  pet care as well.  She has also kept my dog and house sat while I've traveled for work and he is in better shape than when I left him.  Lira is quiet, responsible, and thorough.  We usually draw up a list of responsibilities before I leave so we are clear and have no misunderstandings., and sign a contract.   Excellent house and pet sitter.
