excellent professionalism; called me in to look at transmission after it was torn apart to explain the problem; had me bring it back after 2 weeks so they could do a 2 week checkout and make sure there were no leaks and it was performing properly

I brought my car in on the afternoon of 3/21/11 for a small transmission leak and a small oil drain plug leak repair estimate. The receptionist said someone would look at it and give me a call (as I planned to leave the car) in about one to one and a half hours. I called back about two hours later and was told they could not get to my car that afternoon, but that if I left it overnight someone would look at it and call me by 10 AM the next morning. I came in to get the car at about 11:30 the following morning and was told no had looked at the car because a mechanic was out due to a death in the family. They said someone could look at it after 12:00. I said that I needed to use the car and could not wait any longer. I had already wasted part of two days (over 22 hours total time) waiting just to get a simple estimate, and I had other things that I needed to do. The next day I took the car to another transmission repair shop, and they were able to look at the car and provide a repair estimate within 5 minutes. Had this company taken that 5 minutes to do the same thing (even if an appointment on another date was needed to do the work) they could possibly have gained a customer instead of losing one. If that is the type of service they provide to a prospective customer, I do not even want to think about what I might have had to endure to actually get a repair accomplished by their shop.
