May's Tree Service

May's Tree Service was very professional.  I was given a referral to them from a friend, and they made themselves available to do the job in just two days.  They did a great job of cutting the trees down to the ground, so I would not have to worry about the roots later on.  They also hauled away all of the tree clippings.  They were very careful in safety practices to make sure no branches fell on my roof as them cut down.   I would would highly recommend them to anyone else looking for tree services.

I am in the process of renovating a historic housing complex and the grounds were in desperate need of maintenance. I contacted May's Tree Service, who arrived swiftly to address my concerns, answer my questions, assess the work to be done, and give me an estimate. The two men were very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions concerning the future care and maintenance of my trees and shrubbery. They also advised me on ways to help prevent potentially damaging future growth. After meeting them, I believed them  to be the best and obvious choice. During their assessment they thoroughly examined the property grounds to determine the best approach, starting point, and address any possible setbacks before work began. The men were punctual, arriving about 10 minutes prior to scheduled time. After greeting me, the men unloaded equipment and were hard at work. Hearing the loud equipment and seeing  branches quickly fall to the ground made me nervous as to what was to transpire. Not wanting to interfere, I stood back and quietly watched the progress.  It was incredible to see the professional and caring service provided. I was impressed and very pleased by the end result and the time it took. The entire job was completed in less than 1 and 1/2 days. My property was left immaculate and free of any cuttings...even the pine needles (collected over time) were cleared! May's Tree Service exceeded my expectations and then some. Thank you!

I have several oleanders and a (once) beautiful fig tree that were damaged during last winter's storms.  Everything above ground was dead, but new shoots were poking up from the ground.  The workers cut the dead branches back, not damaging the new growth.  All of these trees are growing back rapidly.  They also cut back an old apricot tree to the new growth, cut down a young Mulberry tree crowding against a wall, and cut down a dead 30' pine tree that was in danger of snapping during the many wind storms we've had this spring.  They also, cut back a crepe myrtle that I was sure was completely done for (it is now 3 ft tall and looking new again).

Three gentlemen got to my house just as I was leaving for work.  By the time I returned at noon to check on their progress, they were finished and all cuttings removed.   I was amazed and relieved.

These gentlemen are personable, professional, and performed their service exactly as promised.  

I am flabbergasted!

Three employees returned about mid-morning with two heavy duty trucks, one with a bucket and one with flatbed and chipper.  They hooked a chain to the base of the tree and front of the bucket truck and pulled the dead tree from the ground in a minute or two.  Then they lifted the dead tree to the flatbed truck while another employee (or two) filled in the hole, smoothed over the dirt, presented the agreed-upon statement, and were gone.  I honestly do not believe the crew was here more than 45 minutes.

The three men, obviously experienced, worked together smoothly and efficiently.  No wasted time, no unnecessary delays.
