Progreen Superior Coatings And Roofing, Inc.

Discovered we had a small leak in the garage.  Called ProGreen, made an appointment for the next morning.  Frank showed up to look at the roof, and the problem was a leaking canale.  Frank quoted $100 to repair the leak, which I approved, and he repaired the roof .  (Rain was forecast on and off for the next several days.) He also inspected the rest of the roof for potential problems, and recommended that all 16 canales be resealed as well as all roof penetrations, and some other minor repairs.  I also needed some dry wall work (unrelated to the leak) inside the house.  The quote for the complete job was $2000 (in addition to the $100 already agreed), and I authorized the work, with the understanding that I would do the interior painting.  
Over the next several days, it rained on and off, the leak was repaired.  Since the rest of my roof was intact, there was no pressure to finish the job immediately.  About 2 weeks later, Frank called and made an appointment to finish the work.  A crew of three + Frank showed up on schedule, did all the work in about 6 hours, and went home.  
The crew was very professional.  The guy who did the drywall (he also was working on the roof) was unbelievably careful inside the house, including putting down plastic drop clothes, and cleaning up after the job.  
I'm very happy, and couldn't be more pleased.
I didn't get any competitive quotes for the work, it just seemed that the prices quoted were very fair.  My roof (and house) is 10 years old, and I understand from others here in Las Cruces that it is not unusual for a flat top built up roof to need some attention every 10 years or so.  I've watched roofers on neighbors roofs over the last several years, (including a complete re-roof) so it was my turn.  My thinking is that if I can get another 10 years out of my roof for $2100, this is money well spent!

Art (owner)  was very professional.  The work was completed very quickly.  We are very satisfied with all aspects of this job.  Will recommend ProGreen to friends.

These guys are awesome. They showed up early for the job, worked diligently. Art showed me what needed to be done, showed me the finished product on the roof. I had water damage in my garage that was repaired so well that no one can tell the area was ever damaged. They matched the paint and even left me a bucket of the paint they used. Priced very competitively, professional company. I will definitely call on them again in the future and have recommended them to many colleagues.

At first, seemed good, after contact, he came by and inspected the roof. He never got back with me! Got tired of waiting and called another company.

Art explained the whole process to us in detail and took pictures so that my husband could see what was done since he was not able to go up on the roof. I truly appreciated that Art and his crew answered all the questions we had and he went over everything that had been done. We are very satisfied with the work done and would absolutely recommend them to anyone having roofing needs.

Art from Progreen was very responsive to our request for quote.  He showed up on time and was quick to provide an estimate for the work.  His crew showed up on time to do the work and we were pleased with the quality of the work performed.  Since rain is sparse in Las Cruces, it was a while after the work was completed, that it did rain and we noticed some leaks.  Art was quick to have his crew return to reassess and take additional steps to repair our metal roof.  It should be noted that Progreen had not installed the metal roof, but was repairing issues left from the installation contractor.  We are very please with our experience with Progreen would highly recommend them to anyone need roof work.

A fact we?d like to first share provides a pertinent background foundation to our rating of ProGreen Superior Coatings and Roofing.
That is, that we?ve owned five homes in four sates over the years, and have contracted out everything from three re-roofings to several very large projects, and three major remodels, on four of those homes. 
We feel experienced enough to say categorically that Progreen has surpassed our expectations of what we consider to be a top rung contractor.
During a rain event that wetted areas of the family room ceiling, I checked Anglie's list, selected and called this company 
and mentioned our predicament, plus requested an estimate for re-roofing. My husband and a friend were up on the roof making stop-gap repairs, when Mr. Art Garibay drives up with the intent of himself making a quick-temp-repair where he knew we were in trouble right now. We still are in disbelief and ever grateful over his doing so.
The evaluation and estimate by them a bit later, was met with a most timely appointment, took place at the date and time set, and was a thorough conversation of work, methodology, materials and so forth. All questions asked were answered completely. 
As was our initial meeting, the estimate was presented in person by Mr. Art Garibay who is the owner. Work began on the date and time specified, and was completed on time exactly as was promised. 
The team who performed the work far surpassed most of those we?ve had dealings with.
To a man, they were all polite, personable, worked together like a fine oiled machine, were unwavering in their constancy keeping a pace that was not usual and most admirable. They knew what they were doing, and worked 100% together as a professional, experienced unit.
We added on an additional work order beyond the house and back porch re-roof which included closing in all the eaves and painting the wood trim on the house and back porch. That too, was done in an exemplary manner and again, the work was begun, and continued without interruption for three days, till completed.
 
Mr. Garibay came with his crew at the start of the project, came at intervals throughout each of the days of the project, as well at the completion...all of which were appreciated by us.
 
Never in our re-roofing or other contractual dealings have we had such 100% positive experience from start to finish and across the board in all aspects of the job. This company even had a man who was, throughout, patrolling the perimeter of the grounds below the roof and picking up nails and other debris as the work was ongoing...now THAT is detail and commitment we?ve not seen before. 
My husband and I highly commend, as well as recommend Mr Art Garibay and his ProGreen Superior Coatings and Roofing crew and company.

After the first major storm after the repairs the slow leak in the garage went from seepage to deluge.  Called back and they found a major hole in the under roof that could only have been caused by someone stepping on it.  They made the repair to the hole (whick I didn't pay for) and the very next storm was a deluge in my garage.  Called again and they told me they would not do any more repairs - that the repair they did was fine.  They actually did me a favor.  I called another company (Ridgetop Construction) and it was a 10 minute caulking job at the drain which stopped the leak.  I would not call Progreen if you have a leak in a Tile Roof.   Also I would be concerned that they would not stand behind their work.

Progreen's response is more what they would have liked to have happened rather than what really happened!

Response: We at Pro Green appreciate all of our customers and welcome their honest feedback. However, in this case we feel its necessary to defend our work and integrity. [member name removed] was informed that the new leak had nothing
to do with our previous work (nothing was said about how the small leak had become a deluge until he found the large hole in the underroof and not even then was it discussed about who was responsible)and was given an estimate to repair the damages ( No estimate was given for the work - I don't know what he would have charged to this day). She agreed and asked to proceed with the work  (I couldn't have agreed to what never happened - however, I was so grateful to have someone out I didn't even consider price). Upon completion of the work, [member name removed] refused to pay and said that maybe our workers had created a hole in the roof leading the new leak  (When I realized there was no explanation for the hole in the roof and that my problem had gone from a small one to a big one with no intervening cause -  There had
been no rain to cause wear and tear, no one but Progreen had been on the roof - I presented my feelings in written form indicating it should be their responsibility) She was visibly upset and emotional and we did not push for payment. In her
statement [member name removed] states that another roofing company took less than 10 minutes and added caulking to repair the leak   (Again it had gone from a small leak to a major leak and I am still convinced that Progreen was responsible - stemming from their previous work on the roof). Clearly if we had created a hole in a tile roof ten minutes and caulking would not have repaired it  (But then again they had missed the source of the leak in two tries - the first time it just got much, much worse and the second time it was misdiagnosed). When [member name removed] called us back to repair the leak we told her that we would gladly help her (Not so - just said he would not do any more work for free,  the work they'd done was just fine and he wouldn't do any more work at my house) but she would have to pay for the previous services before we would do any further work (Never mentioned at all but I'm glad it wasn't - they were clearly not up to the job of finding and repairing the leak that they caused) . She refused. Everyone at Pro Green takes great pride in our work and customers satisfaction. It is clear by the overall response and ratings of our customers. We simply can't work for free as [member name removed] wanted.   It's sad that the very good job they did on the rest of the repairs would be diminished by their handling of a problem that I'm 100% convinced they caused.   My only advice would be to get their guarantee in writing so if any problem occurs it will be taken care of without all the drama.

They did a fantastic job and truly went above and beyond what I would have expected, including repairing additional cracks in the ceiling that were not caused by the leak and adding on last-minute stucco repair work at a reasonable price. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone!

Very nice. I called him Friday morning and he called me back the same day. Showed up right on time for the appointment on Monday. Charged me only $20 and didn't try to make it a huge project. Very pleasant and helpful. I will definitely use him again.

Work was done very professionally.  At the inspection stage, numerous pictures were taken of the roof so that we could see the condition and what all needed attention.  There were multiple holes in the roof, roof tiles were broken where tiled, and the general condition of the roof (except for the subroofing) was poor.  They were a few days late on the promised time but apologized and made us the #1 priority.  Work was finished in a few days and re-inspected by the business owner and me.  Overall, excellent attention to detail.  We are very satisfied.

I called this company for an estimate of cost to do the needed project.  I needed to compare with another estimate I had obtained from another company.
I received the estimate the same day I requested it. This estimate was more detailed and the dollar amount was less than the previous estimate I had been given.
I accepted the estimate and the company did the work the following week.  It was completed on time, clean up was done as promised and the finished project looks great. Fast, professional and very acceptable. Not one problem. 

They did a beautiful job except they ran out of the trim for the tile that prevents birds from roosting.  I can fully understand that as the tile like mine is no longer made.  They said they would make the items out of metal and complete the job. It's been over a month since I reminded him and they still aren't done the job.  This takes away from what would have been a perfect job.

Everything went great, however, it took a little longer to remove the old shingles.  We are very satisfied with the final product.  Mr. Luis Gabaldon and his worker's were courteous, polite, and professional.  They ensured that the entire work area was clean prior to leaving.

Work was done on time as promised.  No complaints from tenants.  As with all roofing, we'll find out how good the repairs are when it starts raining.
