Gorky took his time and showed me all the various woods cabinet features and designs which helped me find the very best quality cabinets at a good price. They turned out to be absolutely beautiful. His crew were very professional and friendly and we highly recommend them for great custom cabinets.

Gorky was a joy to work with. He takes great pride in his work which is evident in his craftsmanship. The cabinets for our new kitchen far exceeded our expectations. They are absolutely stunning! We shopped around for cabinets and we could not be any happier with our decision to work with Woodlife Custom Craft Inc. From start to finish, the project went as smoothly as possible. They were very punctual and communicated very well along the way. This is as custom as it gets and Gorky makes sure you get EXACTLY what you are dreaming for. We would gladly do business with Gorky again.

Woodlife cabinets did an excellent job.  Gorky spent over 90 minutes with me at the first visit listening to our needs and problems with our existing kitchen, asking questions and offering suggestions. He gave us two estimates, one for a complete remodel and one for refacing. Even with the refacing, he made several suggestions that really helped with the organization of our kitchen. He was always very responsive, polite and professional though out the whole process. The job was actually done earlier than the time frame  he had mentioned. His men were efficient and polite and I felt very comfortable with them in my home. We did have to use masking tape on the drawers since our hardware didn't come in on time, but that was a minor inconvenience. The final product was beautiful. He offered customization and quality at a price that was lower than the big box companies who did not really seem interested in our needs and had a much more limited selection. 
Overall we were very happy with Gorky and his team and  I would give his company my highest recommendation.

Mr. Gorky Pacha, the owner, did an outstanding job of manufacturing the kitchen island cabinet to replace the existing, cheaply constructed cabinet in our house. The quality of the materials and construction were beyond our expectations. Mr. Pacha threw in high quality bearing mounted drawers and slide rails which were far superior to those in the old cabinet. Even though we had not specified them, he provided full-depth shelves with capability  for variable height installation. The installation performed by his crew went smoothly and efficiently without a hitch, since we used the original Avonite top for the island. The price was very reasonable,
Above all, the entire process was made a very enjoyable experience by Mr. Pacha- a very cultured gentleman- whose pride in his work and extreme customer orientation were impressive!

Gorky is very talented

The entire experience with Woodlife was great from start to finish. Our home is a 1939 adobe with a recent addition.  The kitchen was sorely in need of major renovation and custom cabinetry was necessary to maximize useable space. We really felt like we needed help with the details of our kitchen remodel, deciding what we wanted and needed and what would look best in our home.  Gorky helped with this process and gave us his opinion on what would work, based on his many years of experience.  This was extremely helpful.  We never felt rushed to make a decision.

Gorky was prompt and communicative.  He came when he said he would, kept in touch and delivered as promised.  The cabinets are BEAUTIFUL, natural hickory.  His workmanship is exceptional and his pride in his product really shines through.

My husband and I had Gorky Pacha and Woodlife Custom Craft remodel our kitchen.  They were professional from the help with the initial design to the last handle that was hung on the doors.  They arrived when they said they would and finished the job in a timely manner and provided excellent workmanship.  The result of their hard work was absolutely beautiful!!  We sold our house a few months later and we are convinced that the remodeled kitchen is the reason that the house sold so quickly for a good price!  Somehow an inaccurate review got posted on this site from us!!  We want to make sure everyone knows that it was a pleasure to work with Woodlife Custom Craft!!!!

Custom cabinets and custom built-in computer Armoir in our old house. We used Gorky approximately 10 years ago and he was amazing. We are actually trying to get a hold of him again to do some work for us in the new house. He's that good.

For the high quality of the work he does he is such a great value.  He has won numerous awards for his workmanship and he is an expert in his craft.  He is great to work with, he has a lot of ideas, and he has a heart of gold.  The quality of his work is just outstanding.  If there is ever a problem, he is ready to fix it.  I would highly recommend him.

Very few bumps in the road despite the magnitude of the project. Mr Pacha communicated extremely well throughout the project & made sure the end product was exactly what we wanted. He is a true gentleman & a professional. As well, his crew was very respectful, did a great job & cleaned up after themselves. Gorky was quick to come back & fix a few quirks that came up after the project was done. Wonderful customer service from Wood Life, a company that really does care about getting it right. We have received many compliments on our cabinetry & I would not hesitate to use Wood Life again. Also, we were very happy to be able to give our business to a local company & keep the money here in New Mexico.

He was courteous. It was a little difficult because I am in another state. So, he actually faxed things over for me, and we discussed how to do it. He was nice. I decided to use him because of the pictures on his website and Angie?s List recommendation. I am pretty happy with the quote.

It took two day to install the cabinets.  They were on time and the quality of work was excellent.

We were doing a completely green renovation so wanted to use FSC hardwood and non-VOC materials for the boxes, and also low- or no_VOC water/soy based finishes. We tried all the major cabinet lines but nothing was green enough. We did find a line of cabinets at a high-end cabinet store, but they were really expensive, and we were confined to standard sizes. We found Gorky on Angie's List so called him to give us an estimate. The price was lower than Lowes and custom, with no complaints about our green desires. He found the last FSC hardwood in stock in ABQ and secured it for our project, then also got no-VOC plywood for the boxes, and low-VOC finishes. His work is exemplary, he's a true professional, and a delightful man to do business with. He got our cabinets to us actually sooner than we thought he could, which was great, because we ended up being in the Green Built Tour and had a lot to do after the cabinets were installed before we were ready for the tour. We love them, and they were a fabulous hit with the tour goers. I never thought I would ever buy custom cabinets, not being a high-end kind of gal, but I couldn't be happier with our experience. We are thinking that we'll use Gorky again for some furniture pieces we might want in the future (entertainment center) because his work is so beautiful, and we can't imagine buying something that big just stock from a store now that we know what we can get from Gorky for a worthwhile value. We felt especially good about hiring a local cabinet maker to do the work, giving all the local businesses where he purchased materials his business, too,  so we could keep all the money for our investment  adding to the local economy rather than buying cabinets made out of state from a big box store whose corporate headquarters are who-knows-where. Even if we'd bought green cabinets from the cabinet store, the money for labor and materials would have gone to the state where those were made, so we feel like this was a win-win-win for us, Gorky, and New Mexico.

Gorky Pacha is the owner of Woodlife Custom Craft and I can't say enough good things about him.  He helped us redesign the kitchen and then produced an outstanding product.  He is a perfectionist which shows in the finished product.  I did not state the cost above but I can say that Gorky was very competitive and we are very pleased with the overall value.  We would definitely use Gorky again.

Excellent quality product. The box construction was comparable to others in the area. The finishes were superior to competitors - which is why we selected. Pricing was fair and upfront with no hidden costs.  This will not be your lowest or highest bid - but certainly the best value.

Gorky, the owner, is a pleasure to work with. He has a good design sense (from his 20+ years in this business) - I believe better than the professed "design experts" in this field.

The fabrication was completed ahead of schedule. The installation went smoothly.

I requested an estimate through Angie's list, and got a nearly immediate response. The estimate was very reasonable and I scheduled the job and paid a deposit on the spot. They did the work some four weeks later, with minimal disruption and no mess. The cabinet is beautiful, and I'm completely pleased.

After a recommendation by a local business owner and reading several positive Angie's List reviews, we met with the owner of Woodlife, Mr. Gorky Pacha, who was friendly, courteous, considerate, and genuine. He listened carefully to our ideas, generously shared his own thoughts and expertise, meticulously took measurements, and afterwards, in a timely manner, presented us with professionally executed drawings and estimates. He came out several times before beginning the job to confirm our final decisions and the measurements. He is knowledgeable about chemical sensitivity and was respectful and attentive to our desire for "green" building. His fabricators are also the installers, which allowed much greater efficiency in the overall process. They have been with Woodlife for many years and are true craftsmen. They were always on time, considerate of our home, cleaned their workspace, and were respectable at all times. We trusted them absolutely to be alone in our home. Mr. Pacha and his crew met the many unusual and difficult challenges presented by our demanding standards and out-of-square house with patience, inventiveness, and grace. The final product is very fine in quality and very beautiful: several months after its completion, we are still delighted. We also feel blessed to know Gorky, a one-in-a-million rare jewel of a gentleman.  We recommend Woodlife highly and with no reservations.          

The experience with Woodlife and Gorky Pacha (owner) was exceptional. They provided a free quote for us and carefully measured the space and listened to what we wanted. Out of all of the quotes (we received 4), they were the only ones that fully grasped, understood and created the look we wanted. In fact, Gorky created a few different custom finishes for us based on what we told him, and we were able to pick the winning one. Of course, this was a free service, too! I was really impressed with that detail. When I decided to engage the company, Gorky went over the plans in detail and measured everything again. He was extremely thorough and professional. They completed the job in the time that they promised, and the installation was professional, detailed and careful. The finished product was exactly what we wanted and turned out better than we could have thought. We are REALLY impressed. I don't think anyone could beat them at the quality. OUt of the quotes, their quote was the second least expensive, but they were the only quote that really listened and understood what we wanted. I would HIGHLY recommend Woodlife Custom Craft.

Woodlife custom built all of our kitchen cabinets, island, and furniture-grade china cabinet in 2003. Our kitchen was awarded best large-scale remodel design for that year. We recently had Gorky back out to design some cabinet doors for our den and hoime offfice. His crew also waxed and buffed all of our kitchen woodwork -- which looks as beautiful as when it was first installed. We love working with Gorky. He is personable, reliable, and a true craftsman. We have "wood" ideas for every room in our home so will hopefully have Gorky back to work with us for years to come.

This was was a very rewarding project from start to finish. Gorky Pasha made several trips to our home to help us with the design of our bookcases. The final design was both functional and beautiful- a work of art. Gorky's team built the bookcases in their shop. They then assembled the pieces in the house in about two days so the impact on us and our home was minimal. The crew was polite, professional and all business. They cleaned up to our satisfaction when they were done. We are exceptionally pleased with the results which greatly exceeded our expectations. Bottom line is Woodlife delivered exactly what they promised at the quoted price. Gorky is a true artist, affable, friendly and a highly skilled cabinet maker. We strongly recommend this company and are already planning our next project.

We gave them a description of what we wanted and from that they created something beyond anything we could have thought of. They are extremely talented and they were good to work with. They are expert craftsmen however it wasn't always easy to get in touch with them.

These guys did really good work. You cannot find better work on the state. They wood they used is Ash, which shows the grain wonderfully in green in all 11 cabinets. Three floor to ceiling, seven bottoms, one fridge cabinet. Gorky is very accommodating and friendly. He works too hard and stresses over every project. You can't ask for more. I shopped around, believe me. I had two other companies come out to take measurements and give bids. The box stores could only do cabinets in unit sizes, I have a 1949 house that is anything but standard. So you have to go custom. The prices for HD & Lowe's were a bit more than half of this, but I could never get the finish or the material. If you can afford it, or if the kitchen is the most important room to you (like me) then it is well worth the investment.
