they discovered one of my ties was out of alignment and only fixed the problem! instead of charging me a bunch to fix the alignment - it was only a few dollars to balance the tires!

They preformed a superb job.

Just picked up car yesterday. Runs as good as new. With a 24 month, 24000 mile warranty have piece of mind.

We've had a few times around the block with the folks at Tranco, and we're happy, repeat customers. I've had a transmission replacement with a rebuild for an old Range Rover. We've had a rebuild each done on our Acura MDX and our Ford Escape. On this fourth time, we wanted to write a review. The transmission on the Acura had a problem right at the end of the three year warranty. Six days past the end, we had to take it in for work. It was a big job, and they were happy to honor the warranty and fix it at no cost because and quot;it was the right thing to do.and quot; It's running again and we're tickled pink. These guys have our loyalty and a glowing review because of their integrity.

They did a professional job. They could have been a little more communicative about the status of the work, but they were very responsive when I called about the status. Actual work only took about one day once the transmission arrived at the shop. I don't believe they sold me anything or fixed anything that didn't need fixing. Transmission and clutch working very well after the work. They provided a good warranty for the work and parts.

I took my vehicle in to have the solenoid replaced, my transmission was tight without leaks. I picked up my vehicle and noticed that it was leaking. I took it back a second time and was informed that it had a stripped bolt and that it had been repaired. I expected that to stop the leaking -NO it still leaked. I took it back a THIRD time, it no longer leaked so a (mechanical) friend looked under my vehicle and it looked like they frosted the transmission seams. Three times, 759 dollars and now a frosted transmission all for a solenoid replacement.

They told me there was nothing wrong with my transmission. I appreciated their honesty.

We zoomed in on a Friday afternoon; they were as courteous as they would have been 1st thing in the morning! The repair was done by Monday. They kept us informed of each step before they took it to verify we still wanted the work done. The cost was very reasonable (we had gotten 2 other estimates prior to using TranCo.). They went above and beyond by cleaning the whole engine as well as the transmission. Overall, it was a very good experience.

I was very please this the third shop in my search list. First was a national chain of transmission shops that I got both a bad vibe from and light on details estimate of and quot;reseal kitand quot; and labor. Later I found out that national chain is just yet another franchise business epic fail! Second was the AngiesList highly recommended and quot;Key Transmissionand quot; shop here in ABQ. I called Key and spoke to owner who told me he was retiring and closing his business. That owner gave me a personal recommendation to TRANCO. I called Tranco and spoke w/ Keith he was very pleasant on the phone and scheduled a service appointment for me where we could drop off the car after work. He's open to 5:30pm for drop off and pickups ~ Very convenient!
The next mid morning I got a call from Keith who told me they found the leak and where it was. He quoted me how many hours of labor it was and a pice for both the repair and a scheduled transmission service. The price quoted seemed much more fair for the work, and I liked being told exactly how many hours of labor the work really was. I asked a few questions and requested any old parts be kept for my inspection. No problems, he let me know the repair would be done the next day as they needed to get the parts for the service from the dealer first.
Later in that same day, mid afternoon Keith again called me to let me know they were able to get the part needed for the repair earlier then expected and have completed the repair. Although, they omitted the regular servicing as the fluid in the transmission was still serviceable. The price overall was dropped after removing that line item.
We picked up the car later that afternoon. True to his word, he saved the defective seal for me to inspect and answered several of my questions regarding the repair. Both my wife and I drove the car, the transmission is again new car smooth and powerful.
I greatly appreciated Keith's professionalism. He was very polite and accommodating to my entire family as we dropped off and picked up our family car. I feel the repair was honest and effective. I'd gladly recommend that shop to family and friends, and will go back for future services as needed.
