I visited them 5 times and I bought a home and closed on it 21 August 2014. Before purchasing I contacted Ferrellgas about the tank they had in place. They assured me that the gas was paid for and conveyed with the closing as did my attorney. A week after closing I caught a Ferrellgas employee at the house "measuring the tank' so they could refund the prior owner. I let the guy know that I owned the home and the gas was mine as the seller never pursued the 200 gallons of gas in a 400 thousand purchase. Because they had this tank in place I agreed to use them for refills and wanted to have another tank installed. Thank goodness they decided to send me a bill for the gas in the tank before I had them install anything else. I visited them 5 times to get the problem solved and they finally admitted that AFTER I had closed they decided to refund the prior owner for the gas which legally conveyed to me just like the well water and electric meter did. Immediately when the problem arose I had the tank disconnected and bought a tank which some other company services now. After a winter of threats from them I finally was able to speak with a higher up in Texas. I simply explained the situation and said if they showed me a receipt from after 21 August I would gladly pay it and if not gave them permission to just take the tank and leave me alone if they would give me a zero balance due receipt. I would take the loss on the gas I paid for at closing. They apologized and after a few months they took the tank. Now to really crap on a disabled veteran they are sending me bills for emptying the tank and toting it away. I now realize that when I overheard a woman in the back office complain about "that bitchy veteran", she was speaking about me. Ferrellgas actually owes ME for the gas because they denied me the free use of it then took it away without due compensation or use of it. Would Angies List please help me in this. I really am a DAV with a terminal bone disease and do not wish to pass this garbage on to my wife. They absolutely cannot show a delivery receipt since I purchased the house and now the letters are threats to dunn my credit with an agency again. I am tired and fed up with their deceit. Oh, When I asked to see a receipt where they actually did pay the prior owner back they could not. It seems they were just determined to double bill the gas. Please help me.
Description of Work: Ferrelgas in Santa Fe has decided to bill and dunn me for gas that was never delivered. They have absolutely NEVER made a gas delivery to my home. There are no receipts for any deliveries. They saw a disabled veteran and thought they could get over on him.

I opened an account with Ferrellgas recently. There wasn't any interaction with them. I was at work. One can order it online or on the phone so it's pretty easy; just open an account on the phone. I have nothing to compare it to because I have never used propane before. I did check their prices with the prices of propane all over the United States and Ferrellgas was one of the lowest. There's another company in Rio Rancho in Albuquerque that's 219 a gallon and everywhere else in the East and other states, its $4.50 cents a gallon.
Description of Work: Ferrellgas came and delivered the gas on the 21st of December.
