The woman who administered the scratch tests hurt.  She did not respond positively, but said, "I'm doing it the right way."  I've been tested before in New England without this discomfort.

I first went to BreatheAmerica two years ago to be tested for allergies. The appointment took the whole morning; they not only tested for allergies, but did breathing tests to check for asthma and performed a CAT scan to check my sinuses for infection and a deviated septum. I saw a nurse practitioner before and after the testing. They set me up with prescription allergy medications and let me know that I was a good candidate for allergy shots. I have been getting allergy shots since then (about two years) and my allergy problems have greatly decreased. That is saying a lot, as I am allergic to just about everything outside in New Mexico! The nurses at the shot clinic are friendly and skilled, and the people in the billing office are easy to work with.

It is very much a business. Iheard one staff say to another he is having the spa treatment. Because my insurance would cover every test they have. Unnecessary tests and a hard sales pitch on things I would have to pay out of pocket for.

They were very helpful and friendly the office staff and NP that I met with did what they could for me. I did not go back for testing and treatment because the offices are colder than ice and just off Paseo Del Norte (to much traffic fumes for my allergies) .
