It went well overall, but there were a couple of minor issues. After informing John that I wanted him to do the work he didn't know the exact date he could start but thought that it may be at the end of that week and would let me know. After telling him that there was no real critical deadline on my end I said that I could take the day off to be there when he figured out the date. It turned out that they showed up that Thurs. without any further notice so my wife thought they were guys working on the neighbors house who were drifting onto our property. Not that big a deal. The first of the two large and difficult trees between the two fences went down without a problem. However, the second of the difficult trees did take out one 8 foot section of my neighbors wooden fence after it bounced coming down. Keep in mind that not only is there only about 10 feet between the two fences but there is also a steep hill / embankment sloping down about 5 - 7 feet from my fence to the neighbors fence. So even though they climbed the trees to de-limb them and the final trunk that took out the was about 15' high and bounced on the hill before hitting the fence. I imagine most people would have had the same result and even cutting the main trunk into small sections a couple feet long probably would have resulted in at least if not more damage to the neighbors fence after bouncing / rolling down the hill. They did tell my neighbor and I that they would take care of it and it was fixed a couple days later. The other trees went down fine although he did cut one additional tree down that was a few feet from the medium sized tree. We didn't necessarily care about that tree although it did open up the line of vision to the neighbors and was done without notifying us prior. Finally, when backing the truck to do the shredding - they inadvertantly caught the power line from the poll to the house. Overall - I think they did a good job and additionally they beat some other estimates by a very considerable amount. I would recommend them and use them again
Description of Work: Hired to remove 5 trees from my property with the trunks cut to fireplace length. Two were large trees (about 24in diameter trunks and about 50 - 75 ' high) located between my pool fence and a neighbors fence (about 10 feet between the two fences); One medium tree (about 18" in diameter and about 50' high) located about 8 feet from my pool fence but with only woods on the back side; and two small trees (about 10"in diameter and about 30' high) located about 5 feet from the corner of my covered porch.
