First of all it took them a very long time to come up with the price. They had to call and call and call before they came up with the price. That's where I feel that I wasn't getting a good deal.
The tune up was fine. It was a set price and it said in the agreement what they are going to do and what they are checking. The guy just went down the list and made sure he did all those things and he did.
Nathan came on time and worked really hard at quickly diagnosing the problem of leaks on the kitchen ceiling that came from the bathroom. Showed me all the options (cheap/expensive, longterm/short term) and how long it would take to do all that work. It looks like the leak finally stopped; although I'm still observing too just to be sure. I thought it was a clean and excellent piece of work.
Dan worked efficiently to swap out the old heater and replace it with a new one. I think his work is neat and accurate, and I enjoyed our conversation throughout the task.
My only reservations about the experience are as follows. First, it seemed quite expensive. However, I'm an older person with perhaps too long a memory of previous work done at our house. Second, I question the advisability of approaching the service call as secondarily an opportunity to sell additional plumbing system modifications. One unplanned $1645 expense was enough for me at the time.
All in all, however, I was favorably impressed by Mike and Dan and thank them again for their assistance.
JANUARY 27th....Returned for boiler repair......Cleaned and flushed out massive clogs of dust ,hair and sludge from boiler.......Installed three drainage spigots on boiler and advised a twice monthly draining of a third of a gallon from each spigot twice a month......Apologized for under billing for last visit and blamed himself for the error.
Name of providers representative was Shaun...Impressed my mother very much ....Advised me to ask you send Shaun next time her home requires servicing.....Felt Shaun was witty , pleasant and explained matters without talking down to her because she was a women and older than he...
Luis arrived on time with a van and uniform that had the Water Works identifying insignias.
We explained that his company had installed our boiler in 2013 and that their boiler was working fine but steam heat was not rising up to the second and third floors.
We explained that PSE+G had arrived earlier and told us the pipes needed to have air "bled out of the pipes" by a plumber. Luis seemed very amused at this explanation and stated "PSE+G doesn't know what their talking about"
Luis went to work by first examining our thermostat ,boiler ,and individual radiators. Luis stated that he would examine all the attached gagues on each radiator stating some were beyond repair .He replaced two and gave us his contact number if the rest of the gagues became defective.
Luis went out of his way to save my mother as much money as possible by repairing as many existing gagues as he could.
My mother asked me to ask for him in the future...She found Luis polite , respectful of her age ,well mannered
,honest , and very concerned about doing his work diligently.Licensing
