They were prompt when I called them and came right over. They started in a week. I like the way he determined they way if I had mold. He had a device that detected mold where other service wanted to puncture holes in a wall. He showed me what he was doing by the beeps that was being detected when it hit the mold. I could tell there was mold by the automotive beeps by the device. It was understandable, he used state of the art technology and it was transparent and clear on what he was doing to the home owner.
Description of Work: They removed mold from our house.

All went as prescribed. Very satisfied with the work that was done.
Description of Work: Dried and sanitized basement . Removed wall to wall carpeting, floor moldings and some paneling/insulation where necessary from walls. Equipment utilized included a dozen blowers and one or two high efficiency dehumidifiers. Equipment operated round the clock for five days (when all was dried). Basement was sanitized by spraying an anti-microbial solution on floor, walls and under all cabinets to prevent mold growth.

They did a good job. They had a three step program versus everybody who wanted to just come and be in and out to do real quick work. They did it step by step for three days in a row in the mornings.

.This was a great company. Joe & his team were quick to respond to all inquiries, the project was done on time and within budget. They made the basement cleanup part of this experience extra pleasant, too. They offered their dumpsters to remove personal trash from the basement. When they were finished, they cleaned the peripheral areas (removed cobwebs and scrubbed the 16' ceiling in the stairway, scrubbed the doors, etc.) I hope I don't have to have my basement done again, but if I do, I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: Complete cleanup of the basement (including removing stuff my husband & I didn't get to), complete removal of flooring, sheet rock & insulation up to about 4' from the floor, mold removal from foundation walls & floors, and 2 full days of air cleaning.

Wow, I?m so happy to have my basement back! I was just walking around the basement, amazed at how new everything is again! Due to a leaking window frame, everything in the basement was developing mold. I cleaned my belongings that I wanted to keep and threw out a lot, but the main problem would be cleaning the basement itself. In finding a company, I was mostly afraid I'd be told I had a bigger job at hand than I did (it's ceratinly happened to me before). Joe Lindsay is the owner of Puroclean. He explained exactly what I was dealing with and didn't blow anything out of proportion. I could tell quickly that I was dealing with an honest person who knew what he was talking about , and had a lot of experience. The crew at Puroclean were total professionals, and really good guys. I can?t imagine how they could have done a better job. I highly recommend Puroclean.
Description of Work: I had moisture getting in from a broken window frame I didn’t know about for ages, until I discovered a mold crisis. It was so unpleasant in the basement, I just avoided it and couldn’t store things down there anymore. I knew it was a big job and big decision to trust a company to take care of it once and for all. I chose Puroclean to do the mold remediation and I know I couldn’t have chosen a better company. On one side of the basement, I had carpet removed and floors cleaned before I got new carpet (Puroclean gave me the option to have them clean and disinfect it, but it was 35 years old anyway). The wood paneled room was cleaned, disinfected and dried top to bottom. The unfinished part was scrubbed and disinfected too including shelves and workbench. For thorough drying, Puroclean left commericial dehumidifiers, air movers and air cleaner for a few days. It's perfect now. I’m so grateful for the great job they did.

The crew showed up when promised. Joe was available by cell to discuss any issues or concerns.
Description of Work: As the result of Hurricane Irene our basement took on 7 feet of river water for the first time. After family finishing the first round of demolition over the drywall and insulation Joe nd his team came in and finished up the job. They started by removing all the screws left from where dry wall had been installed, removed trim and baseboard, and any area of dry wall left from the original demolition. they then spent three days cleaning and treating the basement for water damage and mold. This was followed up by 3 days of drying the basement out with a number of pieces of equipment. The last step was sealing the walls.

Have had a strong mildew smell in our bathroom since moving in two months ago. Due to the vague complaint, many companies weren't eager to respond. Joe gladly set up an appointment, arrived on time, and helped resolve despite not generating a great deal of business for his company. He's certainly won a new customer and recommendation for other similar problems.
Description of Work: Joe was perfect for our needs. We've had a mildew odor in our bathroom since moving in. He helped identify the source quickly (bathroom wall and floor) and provided suggestions on various ways we could resolve ourselves. Called morning of to confirm appointment and was within five minutes of appointment time. Great service.

Joe from PuroClean removed the mold from a house full of Stachy B. the most poisonous mold. The house was damp and vacant for 2 years. It was full of mold. Joe had to come back 3 times and finally the test came back completely negative. He paid for all additional testing. This was an almost impossible job - he never gave up, never said the house was too far gone , just stayed at it with complete professionalism. I give him a 110% recommendation
