Heat stopped working on a 10 year Weil McLain CGA Gold Came within 2 hours of initial call, but by that time the heat started working again. Technician spent 1 hour trying to find a problem but thought it worked. Charge was $200 w/ tax but was after hours. Stopped working again a week later. Appeared to be a faulty damper. Charge was $400 w/ tax. Technician called an hour before coming and came on time. 2 days later, heat stopped working again. Came within 1 hour of the call. Was a faulty sensor which technician replaced. Did not charge for visit. Very fair, very responsive. Technicians are professional and owner is a pleasure to deal with. Would have been great for problem to be found on first time, but life doesn't work that way sometimes. Plus, there were multiple issues which make it more difficult to diagnose. Would absolutely use them again. I can't imagine how much more difficult it would have been had I needed to wait 2 days between each appointment as PSEG usually requires.

I did my homework and got 4 bids to replace the a/c unit in my home. D&B Heating & Cooling had the best price and gave me the highest rated unit. The work was done very well. They took care not to damage any of the inside of hte house when bringing up the evaporator and air handling unit to the attic and were very careful bringing the compressor across the lawn. The crew that came to the house were 3 nice young men who knew what they were doing and did it well, quickly and efficiently. I would have these guys back to my house to do work again.They were neat, careful and respectful. I am very pleased with the unit and very pleased that I selected D&B Heating and Cooling.

Rob was great-very low key-no hard sell. Although by boiler still functioned it was a slow to heat and cosmetic disaster with rust everywhere-Hot water heater was ok but over 20 yrs old. The boiler room was disgusting and he agreed to place new vinyl tile. Whole job took 1 day. He has since returned to check things out and is very responsive

it went ok. They responded to our request same day but problem wasn't fixed right away. It's been coll weather wise since then so not sure if the problem is really fixed. We are waiting PSEG to install new Thermostat then we will know if the problem is fixed or not since we were told Thermostat is the problem

We purchased an $89 special to come to our house and check our furnace and do any maintenance that needed to be done.  Never showed up, never returned any of our calls.  Angie's List has been calling me asking me
to review them and here it is.  This service was purchased almost a year ago.  Never again.

We called DB Heating and Cooling because our Central AC was not cooling properly and since it is an older unit, it has been much less effective during very hot weather.  We fully expected that we would have to replace the condenser/compressor unit and possible the blower sometime very soon.  DB diagnosed a a simple clog in the drain and cleared it out and cleaned the unit and was able to get everything back up and running.. Haven't had a problem since.  The cost was minimal and the technician was honest and helpful. 

Joseph Leggour was great.  He quoted, followed up and was highly informative.  He would always respond timely to all my questions (and I had a lot)..  In the end there was a better value equation from another provider for my home.  Every home and situation is different based on the needs of the home and also what the owner wants to accomplish so that is not to say he and his company wouldn't be right for you.  I would recommend DB to be your list of companies that evaluate your needs.  They did a great job in the initial process, they just came in second for mine...

I was so impressed with them.  They sent a repairman almost immediately after my call . The compressor on my unit had been  turned off by workers but not turned back on properly.  Was charged a service call and he also checked the unit to make sure all was running well. He was very nice and professional.

Air Conditioning not working. Called 3 places. One put me on a waiting list and could give no estimate when they would show or even what day. Another made an appointment for 2 days later. DB had an answering service but got right back to me. Came immediately and repaired the unit. Bad capacitor, bad contactor, and they added freon. I thought price was reasonable.

We got attentive response from DB and a service visit within 24 hours.  The technician was a bit late but still within an hour of what we were told.  He spent the necessary time to find the problem (a small leak, low coolant pressure), fix it (add leak freeze and coolant) and test it.   Our thermostat was also shorting out, and he gave us a used one from his surplus parts (no charge).  I'm very satisfied with the results and the quality of service.

Called to have a quote on a new furnace.   The rep came out the next day, on time.  He was thorough , professional, and reviewed several options.  
I decided to postpone the furnace until next year, but will go with this firm when I proceed with the job.

I think I wasn't here when they came. My husband handled it but I believe he told me that they were pleasant. They weren't hard selling, actually they didn't sell anything. They came and did the inspection, cleaned the furnace and adios. l like I said, I wasn't here so I'm only going by what he relayed back to me and I would say that it was a pleasant experience and they delivered what they promised.

I was very excited to use this offer as my furnace needed to be checked out for the winter.  The service man who came took one look and told us there was a crack in the furnace that was causing carbon monoxide to escape.  He said that by law he had to turn the furnace off.  He did NOT have a carbon monoxide meter to test whether it was actually leaking.  As soon as he left, we called PSE&G.  They sent someone over right away and told us 1)  there was no leak and 2) they didn't see any crack anywhere.  They turned the furnace back on for us.  By that afternoon, D&B had called us with an estimate for a new furnace--that we did not need.  I was very disappointed that this turned out this way as we were looking for a dependable, honest service provider that we could use for the furnace in the winter and our 3 air conditioning units in the summer.  We now depend on PSE&G and have been happy with any service we have received from the

Very well.  Called in three contractors in May after my AC unit failed. DB gave me best estimate but their financing terms were not as good as one other contractor. DB made special arrangements and I received  36 month financing at very low cost of $250. DB filed and received permit for installation from my town. After approval DB installed system before very hot summer began Stystem has been working fine in 100 degree weather.

I called the owner Rob over the winter when i came home one day and my old furnace wasn't working.  He came right over that night and fixed the broken part so we could heat the house again.    My company is on Angies List as well, Jamar Const., and I use Angies for everything, from fences, driveways and now heating and cooling.    When I decided to have a second air conditioning zone installed Rob at DB was first on my list.  Then I chose 2 more companies from Angies LIst for product and price comparison.  All 3 came up with the same ideas and products but I was more comfortable with Rob and what he proposed  even though he was priced right in the middle.  Actually one company was over 2k more on the 9k job which is why its good to get a couple of prices.  Rob was honest, easy to talk to and came up with great ideas.  I don't practice high pressure sales in my business and Rob is the same way.  That kind of honesty goes a long way in my book. 
  He said he could come the following week and perform the install and just as he stated, his men showed up on time, on the day he promised.  Not only did his polite and professional crew complete this major install in 1 day, there wasn't a single issue or problem they came to me with.   It went so smooth I was shocked and so happy to have a working 2nd zone of a/c the day before the major heat wave.   I gladly paid him and would absolutely use them again in the future.

The company was very responsive and professional.  I called and spoke to their office assistant and got a call back from Robert a short time later for an appointment the next day.  He was on time, professional and knowledgeable.  He asked better questions and did a more thorough check of the situation than the other (non-Angie's list) estimates we got.  He also gave us brochures on the unit he was recommending for us, which we appreciated. His price was lower than the others and we felt his service and the unit he was offering were better, so we gave him a green light. Since it was late on a Wednesday, he set us up for a Friday appointment.  The crew was on time, friendly, efficient, and clean.  They laid down canvas drop-cloths in their path up and down from the attic and used our side door to minimize disruption.  They did a stellar job!  The new unit is far more energy efficient and quieter.  It uses the new coolant and came with a 10-year warranty plus a generous warranty for parts/labor.  We are confident that if there are any issues down the road, they will take good care of us.  Five stars all around!!

Excellent, from start to finish, from the original estimate to the final test.  They always arrived on time, were impeccably neat, and were pleasant to have in my home.  This was important to me because I have a home office and I never missed a moment's work during the close to five days it took to complete the job.  Moreover, my phone calls and emails were always returned promptly. I have every confidence that this is the team I want to have servicing the unit.  I have already recommended their services to others.

It wasn't clear that there would be an additional charge for the second boiler.  My wife was home during the service call and stated that the technician was helpful.  Without much knowledge in boiler maintenance, it's difficult for me to gauge how good the work was.  I guess we'll wait and see how they work throughout the winter.  The technician did effectively fix a leak that was being caused by a loose belt in one of our boilers.  That was helpful.

They were fine.  The guy came in and had to fix something.  he had to go to the store to buy something then come back.  It took longer than he thought and he had to postpone another appointment so he could focus on me.  I thought that was really good.

Overall great. Have used them since and they are my go to hvac guys now.

My aircondtioner broke around 5pm.  I called the company and they came out by 7pm during a heat wave
and fixed it right away.  They did a great job.  Would definitely use them again.

My air conditioner broke down just after 5 pm. I called DB and got an answering service who said DB would call me back. Less than 15 minutes later I got a call back and the man said he would be at my home in less than a half hour. He arrived, diagnosed and fixed the problem in less than an hour. What more can you ask for?
