Garden State Locksmith

I had a very bad experience with this company regarding having the front door lock fixed or replaced. The locksmith was late, due to phone issues, but arrived promptly once I called.He was not wearing any type of clothing to indicate he actually was the locksmith and the car he was driving also had no indication on it. I asked for ID and wish I had taken a picture of it. He quickly removed the lock, pushed it in my face and showed me how it was broken - but this was after he took it apart. He then proceeded to sell me another lock - cheap lock that could easily be picked or expensive lock that was harder to pick. I chose the later BUT informed him it had to match the existing hardware on the door, which he assured me it would. IT DID NOT but he had already replaced the cylinder, so once I told him no I did not want it, he informed me it was to late, I owned the lock due to the changed cylinder. When payment time came, I paid by check and he told me to make the check out to him which I refused. He then told me to make the check out to AMS. After he left, I was upset and tried to call the original number I had made the appointment with. The girl that answered the phone had no clue who AMS was and hung up on me. After several more calls, I also spoke to George, who said he would have the locksmith call me. That never happened!! And the locksmith no longer answers his phone nor does he have voicemail set-up. I think this company are scam artists and would NOT RECOMMEND them to anyone. In addition, the locksmith was rude and condensing.

Horrible! From the first phone call to a girl who sounded like she was sleeping to the phone call from Omer I should have known better. But Omer beat everyone else's price and said he would come within the hour so I went for it. Greed does not pay. Two hours later he is not answering his phone, the company number switches me to George and George tells me Omer is stuck in traffic. Really? I don't  think so. I  left messages but got nothing. So when George told me Omer would be at my house within 15 minutes I waited. And waited. And then called again. This time George put me through to Omer who said he was 8 minutes from my house.15 minutes later he showed up and as he started to work he asked for cash only. NO ONE mentioned that one! So I said check, he said only cash or credit card and I said no. Suddenly a check was okay and he would do it for $99 which was the price we had agreed upon but I told him I had spoken to George and because he was late and did not answer his phone or let me know that he would be late that I would not pay the full price . He said it was $25 just for a house visit and he would take that off and it would be just the $99. I said it was clear on line that a house visit was $15 and we had agreed he was already not charging me for that . He said I wasn't nice and I said $75 and he said no so I said okay good bye. He got in this car and rolled down his window , told me I wasn't nice to him and that he tried to call me. So I told him to call  me again as I had my phone in my hand but he wouldn't do it - he kept asking me for my phone number. Really? So then he said he would do it for $75 plus tax. Of course it's plus tax!! He opened the safe and then carried the safe and the door to the curb for me. Thank you. But he left all the little pieces all over my front porch. And he asked that the check be made out to AMS services. So I went back in to call the company and verify and spoke to Steve.?  He explained that AMS is the parent company or bill company for the Garden State Locksmith and it was okay the way I wrote it. While I was on the phone with the man in the office I got a phone call from Omer who told me my front door was locked -his boss was on the phone so he heard the whole thing. I don't like that he tried to just walk into my house! 
Anyway I told the guy on the phone this was not a good experience. The only good thing I can say is that the safe got opened. The guy who opened it drove a van that said 1-800 - Locksmith. 
I would not call them. Ever. my opinion.
