After some not so pleasant experiences with contractors over the years, I was referred to Magnolia Home Remodeling by a close friend. I had been interviewing remodeling companies and meeting contractors for a large project but I was having no luck. After a couple of very informative meetings with one of the owners, I took a chance and went with Magnolia. Naturally I was nervous I was going to wind up in the same position as before, but I was wrong. The crew and the owners were very attentive to all of my concerns and made me feel like a valued customer. When the work was all completed, they insisted on a walk through to make sure I was completely satisfied. Wow!! None of the other guys had ever asked me to do one of those. I have already recommended them to several neighbors and friends. Thanks again guys!

Magnolia Home Remodeling Group did a wonderful job and we are so pleased with the work.   They offered a reasonable price for high quality materials and finishes, promised a professional install, and they delivered!  The crew took their time and great care and the outcome was a job well done.  They have customer service you rarely find these days, the workmanship is top level, and they completed the work on time with NO surprises!  I will certainly be calling on them again for more work.  I highly recommend them.

What I love most about Magnolia was I dealt with the owners directly.  These 2 gentleman were consumate professionals that were - (a) creative, (b) responsive and (c) weren't happy until I was happy.  The place we did the work is a rental property that needed extensive construction but it came down to budget.  I wasn't sure if I woud be able to do just a few things or everything.  Magnolia came in and put together a plan that fit my budget and accomplished all I wanted. 
The workers showed up on time, they were neat and thorough.  Beyond that, if I wasn't happy with something I received immediate attention from the owners.  A++ operation and would use them again for anything / everything.

Everything went well. Price was fair and the crew did a great job. I would recommend them.

My wife and I had been renting for 7 years in Sparta, and decided that maybe it was time to look to purchase.  We decided to look at homes that needed work, as they would be more affordable, and also, so we could put our own stamp on it - to make it ours.  We looked at quite a few homes - including foreclosures, short sales, etc.  We were interested in more than one house, and contacted Chris Fontana, the owner of Magnolia, to come and take a look at them, to help us figure out what might be needed to get the houses up to speed.  Chris and his partner Vic, were nice enough to come to 3 different houses with us to walk us through what was needed and what was possible within our budget.  After dragging them around, we finally decided on a house - a 4 bedroom 2.5 bath house with no workable kitchen, and hardwood floors in every room, except for the kitchen.  The kitchen had linoleum from when the house was originally built!  Lovely. (ok, not really!)
Chris and Vic gave us an estimate, but more importantly, they gave us options.  We never felt pressured to do anything - the ball was in our court.  The day after we closed on the house, they started the project.  Thankfully, the linoleum was the first thing to go!  They removed everything that needed to go, then installed the new hardwood floor in the kitchen.  Next up was to re-finish every inch of floor in the entire house.  The only rooms that don't have hardwood are the entrance and the bathrooms.  The only thing I can think of to say about the finished product is WOW! The floors are absolutely gorgeous.  Every person that has come into our home has commented on how a house built in the the 1950's has such perfect floors - we're glad they didn't see them before they were finished - they weren't good - they had stains from pets / whatever the previous owner did to them.  You would never know that they aren't all brand new.  The flow to the kitchen floor is seamless - again, no one can tell that the floor wasn't there since day one of the house.
After letting the floors do their drying, it was on to the kitchen. They installed the cabinets and island in a few days, and the granite was installed two days after that.  It was so nice to have things timed well, as we had been through this process two times before in previous homes, and had to live without counters for an extended time, which can be a real chore - especially with kids.  We went to the house on a daily basis to check on the progress.  The guys working there couldn't have been nicer.  They even put in appliances that they really weren't supposed to - I mean, it wasn't part of their contract, but they did it to get things done, and to continue progress.  One day we went to check on the progress after work, and Chris was there by himself.  I asked if everything was ok, and he said that he needed to speak to me about something.  Of course, when your contractor says that, you get worried - fast.  I'm sure he could see by the look on my face that I wasn't ready for bad news, so he let me off the hook - the news was that they were done - early!! I think I may have hugged him! (Sorry, Chris).
We started moving in the next day, and it was seamless. (Of course, we still haven't unpacked all of our boxes.)  It was actually difficult figuring out where to put things when there are so many options, and it's a brand new kitchen.  The drawers that they suggested are awesome - we can basically fit twice as much stuff in the new cabinets, as the roll-outs make it so easy.  We didn't even really think that they would be affordable at our price-point.
In closing, I guess all that you really need to know is that these guys did what they said they were going to do: they showed up when they said they would; they went out of their way to go to multiple houses with us; they did great work; they didn't gouge us on the cost; they were trustworthy and reliable.  I don't know what more I can say about them, but I felt that I needed to get the word out.  We have recommended them to a few friends.  One of our friends had all of the floors on their entire first floor re-done.  We went over and had a human bowling party before helping them put the furniture back in. The floors came out great, and our friends are ecstatic.

I decided to use Magnolia because they had done work for my neighbors and he seemed very happy.  One of the owners, Chris had come out to meet with us and I was impressed with his approach.  He had explained that they were a family owned business and assured me that I would only be dealing with him.  He was very knowledgeable and seemed to have a great deal of experience.  My wife and I ask a lot of questions and he was willing to spend the time and give us detailed answers.  I explained we were considering three different projects and I wasn't looking forward to having to work with three different contractors.  It was refreshing when I was told he could handle all my projects without an issue.  We agreed on a price and decided to move forward with all three projects.  I decided to stay home from work to observe the work and I was impressed with how clean and professional the men were.  The roof and windows only took 1 day each to finish.  They also replaced the aluminum casings and siding around the windows.  The basement work was a bit more involved but it was completed within the timeline I was quoted.  When each project was completed I was asked to do a walk through to make certain I was happy.  This made me feel like a valued customer, not just a dollar sign.  I was very impressed with the entire experience and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
