DAVE'S HOME IMPROVEMENT SVC

The job called for patching up one 2'x1' sheet rock hole in the shower ceiling, and one 1'x'1' sheet rock hole in the bedroom closet ceiling. Not rocket science by any means. Provider was to come in Monday the 9th and complete. Upon returning home from work at 9pm, I found my white cloth shower curtain half thrown over the black porch banister, with the other half laying on the ground.
Confused, I walked inside to the bedroom to find everything that was in the closet thrown on the bed. When I say thrown, I do not mean neatly laid down, but piles of clothes that were literally thrown onto the bed. There were no workers in sight, and it was clear that they left the job for the night, leaving my bedroom an absolute mess. They had thrown thousands of dollars worth of our suits and dresses in piles on the bed and floor, and made no effort to put away before leaving. They alsoo made zero effort to wipe up the sheet rock dust from cutting the new pieces for the wall, leaving a heavy layer oIf white dust all over the closet unit and floor. It took us about an hour to clean everything up, put everything back on hangers and move back into the closet.
Lets move on to the actual drywall repair: I wish I had the ability to upload a picture of the pathetic workmanship done by this company. I can understand wanting to put down the first layer of spackle and smoothing to set as a base, and then sanding and touching up the following day. What I came home to was an uneven replacement added into the ceiling holes. There were finger marks left in the dried spakle, and the mesh used to bind it to the existing sheet rock was naked in many areas. There were huge bumps, gaps, the whole ceiling looked uneven. After reaching out, I was assured that the job would be mended and completely repaird the next morning.
Fast forward one day: I arrive home to work to find that instead of redoing the job so it was acceptable, the workers just slathered a little bit more spackle on the project and left it, mesh still showing, finger marks, gaps & uneveness all still present. The intire visit couldn't habve taken them more than 3 minutes. Again, I called and was assured it would be handled the next day.
Day 3: I arrive home and go to inspect the finished project, and find that not a thing was done. The provider didn't even show up, completely disregarding the job he was hired to do. It should go without saying that the provider was fired at this point, and was certainly not paid. My purpose for writing this is so no other consumer hires this unbusinesslike, careless, unskilled company and lets them in their home. They will make a mess of your home without any regard for the home you own, will not clean up after themselves, and most importantly do not have any skill in the area of home repair.
