Benedict was available for a same-day install of the radon testing equipment. He was responsive and clear-- he sent date stamped pictures of the equipment for our records. We had the test and results within four days of the first conversation. I would highly recommend.

When he arrived at my house, the job ended up being bigger than we expected and yet he was still able to complete the mitigation, while being very open regarding potential costs and time. When we called Radon Shield, Benedict answered all of our questions and guaranteed us the radon level went down. We scheduled for him to come out a couple days later. He arrived on time and put the system in. After he was done he went over everything he done and took us by the hand and explain what we have to do with the post radon test. The test came back with no radon. If you ever have any questions about radon or if you need a system call Radon Shield and talk to Benedict, he will answer all of your questions and take care of your issue.

Benedict was polite and punctual. He was careful to keep the door shut as much as possible to save us on heating, and he left the worksite spotless. He explained what needed to be done very well, and installed the system, including 2 access points, in about 6 hours total. I would definitely hire him again, although as he guarantees his work that won't be necessary.

After the installation radon level decreased with 2.5 (on a Radon Siren device) to 1.4. Standard canister test indicated .8 (within Radon Siren device error limits)

Excellent. I lucked out and learned that a newly sold home in my development failed a radon test. I decided to test mine using a Home Depot test kit and had high levels. After a retest confirmed the issue, I called Radon Shield and spoke at length with Benedict. He took the time to thoroughly explain the process of remediation and helped me understand what needed to be done. I called a few other places to sanity check the information and price and decided to proceed with Benedict. He arrived when he said he would. He was finished in less than 2 hours and his system did exactly what was expected - completely removed my radon problem. I tested 6 times using (4) different testing devices/kits and am certain I had a problem and solved the problem. My only issue is that the cost to remediate in NJ is high - due to regulatory charges passed along to the consumer. Benedict knows his stuff, he is professional, honest and fair.

Benedict did a great job to review the house plans in addition to being on-site to determine where to locate the 2 section points within our "L" shaped basement foundation. Original Radon levels in the 8 - 10 range, taken from different basement locations, were reduced to 0.3 and 1.0 respectively! He performed all work with professionalism, courtesy, high quality and on-time.

We were selling a house and were in a rush to mitigate the high radon level. Mr. Ugorji is someone who will either answer his phone immediately or get back to you in a timely manner. He give us a ballpark estimate over the phone based on certain assumptions that he carefully explained and met with us soon after to inspect the premises and confirm the quote. The work was completed the next day and consisted of PVC pipe that was run from an existing sump pump (fed by a french drain that was installed recently to waterproof the basement) and vented outside the home. The fan to move the radon is actually on the exterior of the home. The area surrounding the sump pump was sealed. My impression of Mr. Ugorji was that he was friendly, honest and competent. He was extremely knowledgeable about radon and we were grateful that he was able to help us quickly resolve this problem.

Benedict arrived on the following day at 7a.m. to begin installation. He reiterated the process and immediately got to work. The process was two part including electrical as well. I highly recommend Radon Shield!

Benedict arrived on time and was very thorough. Excellent job from beginning to end with a very fair price. We are very pleased and would highly recommend Benedict in the future. We reside out of the state so we were concerned that it would be a challenge to do long-distance but he was excellent to work with.

Using Benedict was great he was on time and explain to us exactly what was happening. He takes his job and his growing company extremely seriously . We found him on Angie's list and I had already received a quote from a different company that came in a bit lower but after speaking to him I was convinced he was the right guy . We have a 2600 square ft ranch house in freehold built in 1965 on a slab our reading was 7.5 and there was a chance that we would need two fans. Benedict suggested that he put one larger fan in the middle of the house and have the air-quality tested before we consider doing another fan. The test came in almost at a zero when he was finished with the job. Needless to say it passed all inspections and even the building inspector from Freehold township made a comment to my husband that he had never seen a radon job look so nice. You won't be disappointed or taken advantage of.

We are in the process of selling a home. The inspection of the home yielded a radon reading of 12. (very high) there is a radon mitigation system already in place, so I called Radon Shield, Benadict, and he came right out in a timely manor. Met me at the house at exactly the agreed upon time. He identified the problem. My sump pump was not sealed, or covered. He constructed a custom cover for the pump, and sealed it. He left me with another radon test to recheck the levels. The house had a reading of .9 %.... Less then 1! He found, and fixed the problem, he came when he said he would come, and was a complete professional. I would recommend, and use him again.

We needed to reduce the radon levels in the house in order to sell it. Other companies wanted to replace the four sump pumps in the basement in addition to installing the system, which would have cost at least $3600. Radon Shield was able to do it without replacing the pumps, which saved us close to $2000. They gave clear and precise instructions for using and sending the detector. Very pleasant and professional.
