"Hello we did use the brushes with the vacuum. We have 6 different ways of cleaning dryer vents. The way your home was set up you asked us to keep the lint only on the outside of the house. This limited our ability to work. Not only that. When we finished and tested the dryer. You kept moving it to double check the work. Dryers are not meant to be moved around or they would come with wheels on them. They need to stay in place. The dryer vent pipe fell off because the dryer keeps being moved. Not to mention the pipe behind the dryer needed to be replaced and you chose not to do so because you didn't want to waste more money. Next time maybe call us if you have an issue instead of spitefully posting something negative. You will find we would have taken care of you and been quite respectful about it."
After the service was performed we noticed that they had missed 2-3 vents. We called them late night to leave a message but the owner David answered the call. The was very nice and asked to call back to schedule and appointment when they would come back and do the missed out vents. David followed up for the appointment and made sure they came in to do the work.
"The ducts at this home were so clogged it was I possible to get them clean without using a stronger machine. The extra charges did not come from the stronger machine it's the labor and materials needed to disinfect and sanitizes the clogged air conditioning coil we found these services are not included in the big deal."
"Hello thank you for the business. How ever the part that was left out is the dryer had a shelf built above the dryer and it was mounted so close the dryer could not be moved. We could not clean behind the dryer."
The job was done in a rushed and less than thorough way. They removed the dryer vent from the back and shoved the vacuum hose up the vent.
In the past I am used to seeing some sort of a chimney sweep type tool that is run through the dryer vent to free up anything caught on the vent sides. Followed by an air hose blow out and a vacuum clean up. Other services I've used have also gone into my attic (where the dryer vents out on the roof line) in order to disconnect at the vent out point to ensure it is clean and clear. None of this was done by this service.
Given i really only needed this service done for my homeowners association regulations and not due to any perceived fire risk, i was fine with the vacuum only approach for the great price of $59. But if you have a true concern about your dryer vent safety, seek out another company who will do a complete clean like i described above.
I was also contacted day of the appointment to move the time. I made arrangements at work to be home for the cleaning, so I was annoyed at that. Thankfully the time was able to be shifted only 1 hour later and I could still make that work. The workers showed up a few minutes late, but nothing unreasonable.
"Just so you know pushing dust out with a brush can clog a pipe and cause a fire. We used a vacuum at your home to bust the contamination and sucky it out so it didn't cause a clog or a mess in your home. I could have used a brush if your prefer but I'm sure you would be mad if I made a mess. We have several different ways of cleaning dryer vents. We chose that way at your home because it was the best way to clean it. As far as moving your time. It was not moved you called us in the morning and changed the time. That threw off our schedule. We accommodated you even after you altered our times for the day. I guess no matter what we can't make everyone happy."
