So when I purchased my new home, my first instinct was to contact ADT for the security service. The sales person, Dennis was great, he showed up, provided me with pricing, was confident with the entire install and we scheduled the work for about 3 weeks from when I signed the contact.
Then the issues began to occur. First and foremost, staff shows up at 10:30 and leaves by 3:30.. What type of a day is that? Now if everything is done, time doesn't matter, however that is not the case. Staff started the install of the alarm, CO and Fire system. They spent 2 days and they did not have enough time to do the camera work. Ok, so I went along and we waited another 3 weeks before we could get "camera" staff at my home to do the install. At this point we are 6 weeks into the project and the camera men had nothing but problems with the job. Wanting to charge me to run conduit up to the roof for the cameras. Now I don't want conduit running on the outside of my home, but in addition, wanted to charge me for the material. I said to take it out of the salesman's commission.
They never finished the work and said they would be back. Well, 2 weeks later they came back, again at 10:30 in the morning, and never finished the job again. Left covers off and laying on the floor, a mess in the basement with parts falling into the trash can. Now I am very patient and am willing to give everyone time to finish their work, but then I get my AMEX bill. They had the nerve to charge me for the first installment. Now this just set me off. Btw, at this point I had little cooperation with the salesman Dennis. So I called AMEX and put a stop payment of the charge.
So after calling Dennis and basically yelling at him, I was given a phone number of the corporate office. I could have gotten in touch with President Obama easier, but finally I did reach someone by the name of Crystal and the next day I received a phone call from Michelle who is the coordinator at the office. We set up a date the following week, Staff came out at 9:00 AM, did the work, taught me the system and how to work it and FINISHED THE PROJECT.
