Father and son business. Had 2pm appointment for them to give estimate, showed up at 1:59pm. Unheard of for a contractor. Got estimate the next day, extremely fair pricing and they started the work day after that. Finished job in one day. Unbelievable 3 day turnaround. The work, itself was excellent. Very happy with the patio. They were clean, shoes off if they needed to come into the house, put a tarp on the ground when cement was being poured, and made sure everything was cleaned up and put away at end of day. Came back the next day to remove forms and cleaned up more. I highly recommend them. My only problem was with Angi, itself. The website, for lack of a more descriptive word, sucks. Couldn't go in to leave a review. tried for half an hour. Couldn't read past reviews. Star rating was there but I couldn't get in to read. Just kept coming back to "page not found" or please sign in. Even tried calling, but kept getting cycled to the same start menu. Very frustrating. If the contractor had not sent me a link I would never have been able to review. H&R Concrete's livelihood depends on the reviews people see on Angi. The only people who didn't get their money's worth in this transaction are H&R Concrete.

H & R did a great job extending my patio. The work was perfect! They were reasonably priced, neat, punctual and even came back the next morning to check on things and clean up. I highly recommend them!

Needed a concrete patio poured and spoke to a few different masons. Luis was easily the most responsive and was nice enough to deal with my shifting timelines as other contractors moved their dates. All of the reviews on AngiesList are true — wonderful quality of work, excellent price, and perfectly to specification. Would absolutely work him with again for future projects.

It went great. They were very professional and did an excellent job. The Driveway looks so good and the walkway too. They left everything clean. Could not ask for a better contractor.

H&R Concrete promptly returned my call for an estimate and provided the estimate within one day.  The concrete patio was scheduled to be installed within 10 days of the date of the estimate.  H&R Concrete did not require a deposit.    On the day of the installation, H&R Concrete arrived @ 8:30am with 3 workers and the owner and I signed the contract that day.  The owner worked right alongside the 3 workers and fully completed the job by 3:00 pm the same day.  H&R Concrete also evenly spread out the excess dirt dug out for me that they didn't have to do.  H&R Concrete  was very attentive to my wishes and expertly performed the job to my complete satisfaction.  The patio looks beautiful and there is no concrete anywhere it isn't supposed to be.

Luis was professional, on time and meet my expectations.  He was responsive to meeting up front and even showed up to price out an estimate in the middle of a major rain storm.    Work was done well with the appropriate cleaned upon completion.

Louis did outstanding work and his team was very professional and knowledgeable .  The quality of work was excellent and they showed up on time.  They had some great ideas which I went with.  I had a lot of work done and Louis was very understanding on meeting my budget.  He was fair and honest on his quote.  He understood the scope of the job and provided the best cost solution to meet my budget.  Their work was creative, beautiful and made the house image look outstanding.   Their experience in concrete and pavers was ideal.  He didn't try to up sale me on doing extras.   I recommend H&R Concrete.

The response to my original call for an estimate was promptly returned.  I received a written good faith estimate within days and the information provided in the estimate was concise and clear.  Work started on Monday of the following week and was completed by the end of the day.  H&R Concrete removed the existing concrete sidewalk, disposed of the old material, had new concrete poured, and cleaned up after it was all done.   Their work was precise.  I could tell they took pride in what they did.  I would definitely recommend them to friends and neighbors.

He returned my 1st call the same afternoon.  He was professional and came for an estimate 2 days later.  He looked over the job and explained what needed to be done.  Left me his estimate and would call me  when we could be put into his schedule.  He called a day later and we were scheduled in for the following week.  Luis and crew arrived on time with all materials.  They respected all my landscaping, taking care not to disturb anything.  They went right to work taking apart the front porch and stairs.  Couldn't believe how deteriorated the steps and porch really were.  They performed half the job the first day and finished up the second day.
 They cut the limestone and placed it in perfectly and finished off my side porch.  They left the property clean and undistrubed.We are very pleased with the results.  More importantly, Luis is very pleasant to work with and he and his crew are real professionals. Only accepted payment after job was done and we were satisfied. He reminded me of the 50's, when a handshake was the contract.

After an exhaustive search to find a contractor that would actually show up for an estimate, I was very pleased to have come across H&R concrete here.
Luis was a pleasure to work with. He promptly responds to messages and came out to my home quickly  for an estimate. His work was superb and was completed on time with no hidden surprises and a fair price. He and his men were dedicated, courteous, and hard working individuals that I would not hesitate to recommend or use again for masonry services.

I called Mr. Luis Rodriguez of H & R Concrete for an estimate on my back steps and he returned my call same day. He came to my house a few days later to go over the repairs needed. I found Luis to be very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. I agreed to the price and the work that needed to be done. Luis was very reassuring that the work area would be kept clean and that the steps would look like new. He started work the next day. When I saw the finished steps I could not have been happier. They looked brand new when actually it was a repair. The work area was spot less he even had swept the adjoining patio clean. I highly recommend H & R Concrete and would not hesitate to call them again.

Louis from H&R Concrete was very prompt and responsive when I reached out to him. He provided a fair price for the work and his guys did an excellent job rebuilding the front porch on my home in very little time. The old brick steps had been crumbling for quite some time. The only complaint I have, which is why I gave them a B for quality, is that on the top platform of the steps where the limestone meets the concrete it has chipped in a couple small locations. It is not much of an issue and I am not sure if that is due to their work or other conditions however it did still occur.

I just joined Angie's List and contacted H & R Concrete in West Long Branch, Monmouth County, due to its high rating. Mr. Luis Rodriguez, the owner, promptly returned my call and arranged to come out to give me an estimate. It was very reasonable. He readily presented his license and insurance certificate so we signed a contract. He did a wonderful job!!! He and his crew were prompt and courteous keeping me informed of their progress. An additional supporting pier on the retaining wall needed to be replaced and he did so at a small additional cost.

I highly recommended his company and am pleased that I finally joined Angie's List.

Overall, the job went as Luis, the owner, advised me it would, with the exception of the extra layer of asphalt they found that was not expected.  Because of that an extra dumpster was utilized and I paid for that but I wasn't charged for the extra labor; Luis stood by the estimate he had given me.  There was also a delay of a day or so because of rain in the middle of the work week.  The workers arrived around 8:30 every day and worked until dusk.  I was very impressed by how physical the work was, especially the removal of my old driveway, but they were very efficient and everything went smoothly. I couldn't be more pleased.

He is the nicest man! He does beautiful work and has extremely competitive prices. He's always on time and is a pleasure to do business with. The people who work for him are very good as well. I highly recommend him.
