Although I supplied the hardware, I felt that I was grossly overcharged to have a kitchen faucet installed.

Last winter, my furnace stopped working one day. After I made a few phone calls, they are the only one available for the emergency service. After less than one hour repair (just one part was replaced), we were charged $1300 and was told this is a flat service fee charge and no further explanation on how they came up with this charge. It's way over priced. Today the same exact place where they replaced the part broke again and starts leaking. So disappointed at both their service, price and attitude.

The reservation time slot was 9-12p. In the morning they called and said they could only come between 12-2p. I have to wait until noon. Their trip costed me 50 bucks and the quote went to $3600. Other plumber's estimates are around $2000. I felt like they don't want plumbing job, they want $50/trip easy money.

Fine, ac unit needed a part replaced.

They were on time, punctual and very clean but they are very expensive.

It just ended up being the thermostat was old and needed replacing. The charge was $560! The technician told me it was a professional-grade thermostat that couldn't be bought retail, not only was I able to find it through many other retailers for roughly $150, other places would have installed it professionally for around $130. So they somehow seem to value themselves at double their leading competitors. Had I chosen not to have them do the work they were going to attempt to charge me a $90 fee for just coming out! I honestly thought they were a trusted name but after dealing with them I realized that they're just a company that preys on older customers who don't use the internet or have the resources to shop around.

I called around and found reputable plumber estimate of around $400. But they won't be able to make the schedule. So I called AJ and waiting a log while to get into the call, and asked for estimate. They said that the trip cost is $50, and can not give estimate until they are on site. I thought it shouldn't be around the ball park of average and they said they can come in a few hours. They did come on time, but they told me it will be $550 plus tax, way above what is reasonable. I asked them why it was costing so much, and he said that is what it cost with no other explanation. I tried to bargain it down, and he can only give me $50 off. Though I really need this job right away, but I refuse to give in to this kind of blackmail. He said he will call the office and check. Then he just started working on it. I stopped him and told him that I don't want his offer. Though I end up paying the trip fee, I still feel angry about their tactic. No explanation of work involved, and take it or leave it attitude. I will never ask them again.

The experience with AJ Perri started in late August with a broken hot water heater. I was in no position to shop around and AJ Perri was there in 30 minutes. The plumber did a good job with that installation. During the course of his work I foolishly mentioned I would be looking to replace my heat and AC before the winter. Fast forward to the first very cold day in October where heat was needed. My wife goes to turn on the heat and nothing. Thinking it was the right thing to do, she called AJ Perri and once again they came right over. Turns out the pilot light was off and most likely had been since the hot water heater was installed. If that little bit of deception wasn't bad enough my wife was then lied to about having a carbon monoxide leak and was told to leave the heat off. To continiue with their planning they told my wife they would send someone over to give us estimate that night. After I was told this I was very suspicious and called the gas company. End result, pilot light lit by gas company and no carbon monoxide leak found at all. Approximately 8:00 that night the AJ Perri salesman showed up and took his measurements but was befuddled when I mentioned the hoax of the carbon monoxide leak. He actually thought I believed the entire scam was not intentional. I decide to still give him the chance to make his best offer which after 90 minutes he finally gave me. The offer was extremely high but the pressure was higher. He miraculously was able have the job done the next day. Hint: no time to call anyone else and see what a world class rip off they really were. After 30 more minutes of him coming down by nickels and dimes I told him I was getting at least three estimates. He didn't like that and continued to delay and use scare tactics with my wife. He sensed he could get her to break. Finally I told him no matter what he said or did I was not giving him the check that night which he so badly wanted. He walked out almost emotionless, knowing he would never hear back from me once other estimates from honest contractors came in. By the way, they did come in and they were all half the price of what AJ Perri charged. I can deal with price gouging but I can't deal with liars and frauds. I still am contemplating reporting AJ Perri but one thing is for sure I would never use them or reccomend them for anything. The company policy is based on lies and deception.

They replaced a valve and my thermostat as well as serviced my boiler to correct an issue with my second floor not heating properly. I am satisfied with the work they did.

They always did a good job but their prices are higher than most others. Also, I felt the technicians tried to up sell me on several occasions for additional work or a more expensive item.

I wasn't happy with them. They put a rotor down my down stairs sink which did nothing. Resolved slow drain, I was concerned because I had a leak in my washing machine. They told me i needed a new one, so I got a new one and it did the same thing as it did before. I wouldn't call them again. The guy that they send out needs to be more qualified, have better knowledge, and care more about they are doing.

They were pretty pricey. Their work was good. If I could find someone with equal value but less expensive, I'd probably go with them instead. I thought the work was fine. I thought they were good, but they were very expensive.

I was happy with the original installation, and the system has worked far better than my original one. The service plan visits are thorough, and the technicians are skilled and knowledgeable. I do believe that their markup on parts may be on the high side, but I don't have a good basis for comparison.

The technicians were polite, helpful and we had a good relationship with them.

Everything went pretty good but the boiler could not live up to the performance of the old one and I was lied to when I was told in advance that it would. I was told that I would not loose heat if the electric went out and that the boiler would keep performing as the one before it did. This was a lie. The new boiler will not run without electric. The company would not do anything to make up for this lie.

I have used AJ Perri for 20 years, so I am pretty happy with them. I have a service contract with them.

The service didn't go particularly well. They gave us an estimate based on the work they would have to do, and they didn't have to do that much work, but they still charged us the amount as if they had to. They didn't send a person that really understood the issue. At the end, I wrote a letter and they sent $300 back to me. They did a very good job on the work that they finally sent someone to do, but I didn't like the hassle I went through. The guy that did it was very good, but the service I had overall was not good. They responded only when I put it in writing. It was my actions to how well they responded. I would use them again if I had to, but I wouldn't look forward in going through what I went through.

Installed heating and cooling. One unit was installed. Installation was very good.They took out old unit also.

I would use them again, but definitely look around. One person came out to do the work.

It was not good. We had a service contract so basically in the spring and fall they would come and check on the hvac and air conditioning. But every single time they came they decided to tell us that we needed to replace and air conditioning unit, a hot water heater or a motor or something else like that, every single time. I found out about a year ago that A J Perri was in trouble with the Better Business Bureau or under some kind of investigation for doing those similar tactics with older people or ripping them off. We ended up keeping the service contract because what we they would do basic maintenance replace the fillers and stuff. But they would always tell us about some major component that needed to be replaced or repaired. So, what we would end up doing was doing it ourselves.
