AJ Perri is quite a scam. I called them up for an estimate, and they said that only the plumbers have the prices and that they'd tell me when they were out. Admittedly it was my fault because I didn't shop around first, but when they got there they quoted me a price of $600. This was information that they could have told me in advance, but they didn't because then I could have called around and realized that it is almost 3 times the going rate. The installation itself went ok, but they also told me they'd take the old toilet away, but the guy that they sent couldn't do it, so they'd send another truck. It took about two weeks and 4 phone calls before they finally removed it. I would definitely never use them again.

They really aren't good people. I had their people come out to check my previous AC unit and they sent a crew of 3 people. They worked the whole day and everything was fine. They had to put 3 lbs of Freon. I was concerned about some problems in the future, and I called the back up to get an estimate for a new A/C unit. I've done business with them before when I lived in a different part of town, and there was no problem. The guy came out and went upstairs, tore everything apart and dropped it into a metal pan. The unit started leaking. At 9:20pm that even my kitchen ceiling fell it. It ended up costing me $14,000 for the A/C unit they put in. It's wasn't a good experience. I'm happy to verify that with anyone.

Skip the coupon and marketing gimmicks, AJ Perri's FREE service call is NEVER FREE! The service call is $89 and you get it for FREE only if they do a repair on site and right away. If the technician tells you what is wrong with your unit and you want to get a 2nd quote or wait on the repair then you have to pay the $89. There is a "free estimate" but this is for when you want to replace your unit. This is done by another department and they do not do any repairs. As my technician Ray said:" AJ Perri is not a social service. It are a business." Now stupid me, like any other business, they need to make money and lots of it!!!

Got short changed on the maintenance check up. I got the mailer about the $89 A/C tune up package and booked it. The first time was a no show because the technician was running > 2 hours hours late and then it turned out to be a no show. Granted, it was a 1 to 5 PM booking and they called me at 4:50 PM to tell me about running late. The second time, the technician showed up on time and spent less than 15 minutes outside on checking the condenser and didn't even bother coming inside / checking the filter, air handler, etc. Added some refrigerant and tried to sell me on replacing the AC system. Booked an appointment for the estimate on replacing the system for the following week. The A C tune up special is starting to behave like a marketing ploy to make another appointment to have someone come and get you a quote on an entirely new system, I think, based on the way the technician did a spotty job with the goal to point out the short coming of your existing system.

The guy who came was okay with usual sales talk. But the estimates way out range compared to others. Even after saying I don't need it for long term. His quote was double the price I got from others. He tried to use all kinds of sales tactic and finally he's there until 9pm, can we go ahead, I said no - he left.

They are totally out of hand with pricing. I would never hire them back. They did a great job. It took them a little while to snake it past the dishwasher and refrigerator lines. He also quoted me $800 if I ever had to replace a faucet in my kitchen. The guy who was here seemed knowledgeable. I have not had them back and have been using another company.

They charge $89 bucks for a service call. The service all diagnoses after an hour was a transformer and contactor needed to be replaced on one unit and a transformer and blower control board on another. The tech gave me the line that it might be cheaper just to replace the units given their age. The quote I got was $2100 - flat fee pricing. I called my client to see if he approved. I explained that transformers cost around $50 each, the contactor $30, I googled the honeywell blower motor circuit board they installed -its about $100. So we are talking maybe $250 in parts at most here. I honestly didn't see a whole lot of labor at play here and told my client the pricing was absurd but he was desperate to close the property and could not wait for me to find someone who was not a complete rip off, so we gave these guys the green light to do the work knowing it was just wrong. They did not have the blower motor part so it was installed the second day by a different technician. All in all they were on sight for less than 4 hours between the two days. That onsite time was extended because the different tech on day 2 had to start from scratch and insisted on looking at units that I told him were not damaged or already repaired. In the end these 4 simple parts were replaced and the systems were running properly once again. I guess they offer flat rate pricing because people will freak out if they realized that they are paying $400+ an hour for AC repair - actually even higher if so much time wasn't wasted. I get that this is a larger than average company and as certain layers of fat that it needs to support, but this was absurd. My advice is to look elsewhere and save yourself a ton of money.

They did the job. The first person came out for a diagnosis. He said, "You have a gas leak." Then he said another party would come and they would just put the gas to find the leak. Then there would be another party coming out to check if there was a leak. So I said, "Okay, I would be charged three times for the same service?" Then they were like it should be just once. They charged me only for the first visit. Since I was covered for the part, they didn't charge me for that. The work was good. I haven't seen any problems.

After spending over a 1/2 hour with a plunger, I called AJ Perri in the morning and the person who answered the phone couldn't be nicer. She took my information and then transferred me to scheduling. The scheduling person was also most pleasant and gave me a choice of appointments for the same day with a 2 hour window for each. I chose 2-4. The technician called my wife around 1:30 and said he was on the way. On arrival at our house, he took off his shoes which my wife found to be a very nice touch. The clog was quickly taken care of and the area was left as clean if not cleaner than when he arrived. The technician was also very polite, knowledgeable and completed the task very rapidly. We will definitely be using A J Perri for all of our future plumbing needs. They will also be the first we call if and when it comes time to replace our heating and air conditioning system. It is so nice to find a company that puts the customers first and leaves you feeling really satisfied about the experience. Thank you A J Perri.

Excellent. Staff in scheduling were very pleasant, and helped to move up the appointment. The technician (Anthony?) was also very polite, explained what he was going to do and completed the work quickly. He showed up at the appointed time and completed the work professionally.
