Description of Work: I ORDERED 2 PIECES OF FURNITURE IN TWO WEEKS SOMEONE NAMED JIM CALLED AND SAID ONE OF THE PIECES WAS NOT AVAILABLE WOULD I LIKE SOMETHING ELSE SIMILAR. HE WOULD SEND ME PICTURES. THEY NEVER SEND CALLED AND FINALLY SEND SOMETHING OF A PICTURE I SAID NO JUST SEND THE ONE ITEM. THEY CHARGED ME $750 FOR ONE ITEM WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN $517 ON MY CHARGE CARD BUT DIDN'T EVEN DELIVERY ANYTHING AS OF YET. I CALLED AND CALLED AND CALLED THE NAME ON THE MESSAGE CAMILLE IS NO LONGER SHE IS NO LONGER WITH THE COMPANY. WITHIN A MONTH I GOT FRAN SHE SAID they lost my order but she found it on someones desk at the warehouse SHE SAID SHE WOULD REFUND THE $750 AND I WOULD PAY CASH ON DELIVERY. WELL THEY NEVER REFUNDED THE $750 I CALLED AND CALLED S/W AN ELAINE. SHE SAID I NEVER SPOKE WITH HER SHE REFERRED ME TO A OLIVIA WHO SAID I CREDIT YOUR ACCOUNT THE DIFFERENCE INSTEAD 4 DAYS AGO. I CALLED MY CREDIT CARD THEY SAID THEY SEE NOTHING I AM EXHAUSTED BY THIS POINT. I AM GOING TO REFUSE DELIVERY NEVER TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN HOPING TO GET MY $750 BACK

Delivered damaged goods. Fran's policy is to collect payment in full before sending out the delivery truck, leaving the consumer at their mercy if delivery fails. I refused delivery. I got a call from the sales person informing me of the another contemptuous store policy. When delivery is refused the consumer must visit the warehouse to examine and approve of the replacement piece before it ships. Thinking that it's Fran's responsibility to inspect before shipping and to insure against damage which may occur during shipping, I declined to comply with store policy. I requested a call from the manager. I immediately disputed the charges with AMEX to protect myself against further arbitrary and abusive policies. The replacement outdoor furniture arrived wet, and a little grimy, but nothing that a rag couldn't handle. I accepted delivery, but kept my dispute with AMEX active. I decided to maintain my leverage, waiting for the call from the manager. Several weeks later I received a letter from AMEX informing me that Fran's had not complied with its request for verification with regard to my claim. The sales woman called two weeks after I received this letter, denied that the store had ignored the AMEX request for information and threatened to call the police unless I notified AMEX to reverse its determination in my favor. Another absurd policy or just more nonsense from the polite but disrespectful sales woman? At this point the transaction bordered on insanity and I ended the drama with a phone call to AMEX. After going through the hoops with Fran's Basket House, I contacted BBB. Check it our and stay away!

Fran's Wicker and Rattan Furniture got my furniture here very promptly. It is very good quality and looks high-end. The salespeople here are very helpful and have a very good sense of style. They spent a lot of time with me and made me feel like they really wanted to please me.
Description of Work: They sold and delivered 2 couches, an end table, a chair and a coffee table. All of them were wicker furniture for our sun room.
