Very responsive to initial phone call. Arrived on time.  Provided a clear estimate at a good price.  Also has a price match policy.  Even though I used another service (based on next door neighbor's recommendation), I would certainly consider using Rich Tree Service in the future.

Work was done quickly and as planned.  Tree work on 1 day and stumps the next day.  No problems.  Will use Rich's Tree Service again.

We've had lots of dead branches fall around our property and wanted to clean everything up in case another bad storm hit.  Great timing considering Sandy was just a few weeks later.  We called three companies for quotes.  Two were around the same price with the third being double.  Based on the stellar reviews on Angie's List we went with Rich Tree Service. We were very pleased with the service and would highly recommend them.

This is a true story where humanitarian services outdid any financial gain to the company - in this case "Rich's Tree Service ". Rich's Tree service was hired by my neighbor to removed several branches from a tree ( town owned ) that had completely uprooted and dislodged across the front of my house and across the neighbor's driveway - result from the recent Storm. It was fortunate the tree did not do any major damage to either house, but my neighbors tenants two cars were damaged and I needed some exterior electric repairs. I also have major sidewalk and driveway apron work damage that needs to be corrected. While the workers were taking care of the branches, one of my tenants who is handicapped was very concerned about the rest of tree that was still blocking access from the house to the street. In the kindness of his heart, Alan instructed the workers to take care of the area so the handicapped person would be able to exit and enter the house without any further discomfort. Thank you Alan for your service and kindness.

They had all the heavy equipment needed for the job, laid mats on the grass so the lawn wouldn't be harmed, and keep checking with us to ensure they were doing exactly as we requested. The crew chief, Nelson, was very professional and experienced, and kept communicating with us as I stated earlier. After the job was completed, he checked again with us to make sure we were satisfied, then the crew proceeded to clean up the entire property and when they left, it was as though they were never here, except all the trees were pruned. Highly recommended!

Discovered a tree was uprooting in my yard before a big storm.   Rich's
tree service came that afternoon and removed it.  They cleaned up the
area completely leaving no sign that they had been there except for the
missing tree.  Excellent service.

Not only was the work done correctly, the cleanup was also very well done.  In the future, when I need any tree work to be done, they will be my first call.  

All of the workers are very friendly, and they showed up on time.  The work was very carefully done because there were a lot of shrubs surrounding the tree.  They did not damage any.  The oak tree is at least over 100 years old.  

It was good experience.  They were very good.  The men very friendly.

I contacted his office and he called me that afternoon.  When I explained my situation; that I was putting our home on the market and needed to have the work done within the next 48 hours, he rearranged his schedule to get a crew over the next day.  I was impressed with this as the job was not big, and therefore, relatively low cost.
His crew arrived on time, completed the job very quickly, and cleaned up after they were done.  The estimate was the price I paid for the work.
It was a pleasure to deal with Rich and his crew of workers.

Overall, very satisfied with their work.

I called Rich Tree Service for an estimate. My called was returned within 24 hours. Someone came out to give me an estimate. I accepted his offer. My appointment was then scheduled. The men arrived on that day and on time. All branches were trimmed. They also cleaned up in front of my home nicely. I was pleased with my service.

Rich Tree Service provided a timely estimate, indicated when they would be there, showed up on time and completed the job in a timely fashion.  The quality of the work was excellent, in fact it exceded our expectations .  The workers were friendly and polite.  Out of the half dozen companies that were contacted, Rich's was the only one who gave us a timely, reasonable estimate (one estimate was $7000 and we recieved it when Rich's company was finishing up the job) 

It was a wonderful experience. They had the right equipment, were very professional and did the job in half the time I was quoted by other companies not to mention the price was much lower as well. They worked together like a well oiled machine. I would highly recommend them.

They were cheaper than anyone else who came out. They were very professional and did a very clean job.

This company treated me like a client who they wanted to do business with.  A rep came out to meet me on July 4th in the morning.  Their price was fantastic and the job was done better than I could've imagined.  All other companies who I called refused to meet me in the evening or on a weekend.  Due to the complexity of explaining the job, it was impossible for them to give me an accurate estimate.  One company called me when they were there to discuss what I wanted done.... then gave me an estimate that was 50% higher.
I needed some grading done that Rich Tree Service does not do.  They sent me to Drew from Mountain View who also came out when I requested (evening) and gave me a very good price as well.  The companies coordinated together to ensure that the job was done like it was by the same company.

They were easy to work with. They showed up when they said they would and they did the work. They were responsive. They cleaned up after themselves. There was no problem. It was a good experience.

I called Rich Tree Service to schedule an estimate for a tree that fell in my yard on July 4th.  I called on July 5th and left a message.  When no one called back, I called again on Friday, July 6th and spoke to a woman in the office who told me someone would call me back to schedule a time to come by and give me an estimate.  As of  noon today, July 9th, no one has called me back to schedule a time to give me an estimate.  While their rating appear good, it would be hard to use their service if they can't even call you back in a timely fashion.  Fortunately for me, my fallen tree is in my back yard so it does not present a huge problem for me but generally I would think a fallen tree might need to be cleaned up quickly. 

My wife and I agreed that this was our absolute best experience we ever had dealing with a contracted service.  Every member of the organization, from the person who came to do the estimate, to the office staff and certainly the men who came and did all the work to remove the tree and grind the stump were extremely professional and  represented the company first class.  They all knew what had to be done and were expert in accomplishing the job.  The tree that had to be removed had grown over a neighbors pool and I was concerned about how they would get it cut down without affecting the pool.  I needn't have worried.  Rich's men helped the neighbor cover the pool so no sawdust or cuttings fell into the pool.  After they finished their work, they vacuumed and swept up all the sawdust and every last scrap of leaves/wood that was cut.  I will definitely recommend Rich Tree Service to anyone who can use their services.  In fact I know I will be using them again to do some pruning of other trees on my property.

They were amazing. They were efficient,clean, and polite. They did what they had to do and cleaned up after themselves. They also answered my questions. Their price was worth the work that we had.

The estimator arrived on time per our arranged appointment.  Was easy to work with and very prompt to provide costs.  I signed up for the work and it took a few weeks to before doing the work.  The notification of exact time to arrive could have been communicated with more detail.  Company did a good job on the quoted work.

The work was done efficiently and we. The crew was nice. The lot looks incredibly better.

Scheduled estimate for 6:30 pm which was after hours fro the company but the only time I'd be at home. Alan showed up on schedule. Very professional, wearing a jacket with the company logo. We went around the properly and I showed him what I wanted done; he also suggested other trees that could be removed because they were unhealthy or poorly located. After that he prepared an estimate on the spot describing the service to be done (which included cutting the trees and grinding the stomps). He applied discounts (Angie's list coupon) and additional discount for efficiencies associated to doing all trees at once. Total discount was about 450.00.To contract the service I just had to sign the estimate and fax back to the office. They said they could do the work in 2.5 weeks which was ok for me.Day after Memorial Day they called early in the morning and said they could do the work that very same day since other work had been cancelled because of the weather.Crew showed up ready to go, all properly identified with the company logo. They brought their own equipment. I went around with the foreman to confirm the work to be done and during the inspection they indicated a couple more trees that could be removed; they removed them for no additional cost.They did the work in a very professional manner, with no damage to the lawn or other parts of the property. After the job they cleaned some of the wood chips which was not in the contract. Finished all trees on the same day.Overall I think they went above and beyond our agreement and did an excellent job. Planning to use them again for additional tree work in the near future.

The entire experience from the first phone call to final invoice payment was handled in a very professional manner. On the first appointment, the sales person, Allen, arrived on time and gave us a written estimate. We requested a second estimate as we changed the scope of the work to be done, and he again came on time and gave us a detailed itemized estimate. The work was scheduled but could not start on scheduled day due to heavy rain. Rich tree service kept us informed and promptly rescheduled the service for the following day. The crew arrived on time, confirmed the scope of work, and started work. The crew seemed experienced and well trained. Work was finished by the end of the day, except stump grinding that was completed two days later. All clean-up was done professionally. Allen visited twice during the day to monitor the progress, once during the middle of the day and once near the end of the day. At the end of the day, Allen and I walked the property to inspect the work. During the walk through, we noted that the chimney cap had shifted, perhaps from a branch that had touched it during the cutting process. Allen promptly climbed the ladder and fixed the chimney cap. Allen was friendly, knowledgeable, and punctual. The service price was not cheap, but fair. All in all, I would highly recommend Rich Tree Service. I know they will be back in my yard in another 2-3 years, as my property has many more trees that will need to be serviced.
