It went very well. Rick & Dave first had to figure out where, exactly, to place the mount for my new TV above the fireplace. They had to work around the fireplace flue which is inside that wall. They did the job, and it came out great. I hired them after talking to a neighbor of mine - he said he had hired them many times to do some pretty major home improvements and he was always happy with the results. So I felt very safe hiring them to mount my TV. I plan to give them more work in the future.

Everything went very well. His promptness and the work was very good. He always explained his work and kept me posted on his progress. I would certainly call them again.

Could not have been more pleased with the outcome of this project. Rick and Dave were extremely courteous and professional. They even suggested having the hardwood floors underneath the existing carpeting refinished, rather than installing new hardwood or laminate which saved us a considerable amount of money.I would definitely hire them again in the future and recommended them to everyone in need of any home improvements.

Rick and Dave did a thorough, professional job on our basement: they upgraded the electric and framed out a room in our previously unfinished basement. They performed all the work themselves and were very good about providing updates. They are not the lowest price but we were happy with the job: they performed the work they said they would and did so in a timely and professional manner. We also used them them for some other minor work around our home while we waited for inspections and they provided sound advice about general property repair and updating.

It was pretty much the same estimate as I had got from others. It has just been 24 hours and everything is just sitting as it is. He was actually the only electrician to get back to me and confirm a time when he was coming over and show up at the exact time. I talked to four different electricians. He was right on time.

We contacted Rick this past weekend to see if he can remove a light fixture from our master bedroom to install in another bedroom. We also needed him to install a chandelier in the master bedroom. He responded to us right away and we schedule for him to come at 8:30am Monday morning. True to his word, he and Dave came just a little earlier than 8:30am. They got to work right away and did a great job in under an hour. They were professional and let us know exactly what we needed to do because the seller who sent us the chandelier didn't send us the instruction manual. Overall, we are pleased with their work and will call them again. A year ago, Rick also came and did a great job repainting a section of our laundry room.

It went very well. The work was done in a timely manner and they cleaned up after themselves. I would use them again for other projects that we have.

With one day's notice Rick and Dave ran a line from the panel to the washer and dryer and set up an outlet for both units. They did it quickly and the price was great. No complaints. They did a good job.

They came out to give the estimate the day that I called them, and got it back to me in a few hours. They were available to begin work quickly, and were on the job every day until everything was done. All the work was done by Rick and Dave. A few wrinkles and issues arose during the course of the projects, but they were all handled pretty smoothly. Both Rick and Dave were friendly and professional. My wife and I were happy with the results and would use them again.

I spoke to Rick from Rave Home Improvements on the morning of 4/10/14. He called me back later that same evening to say he would be at the property in question the following morning. He called me back early the next morning to say he had completed the work. My son verified that the work was done and done right.

I thought the price was fair. They came the same day that I called so they were very prompt. I was satisfied with their work and I would use them again.

Rave was quick to come give an estimate. I needed the work completed asap because of the sale of the property. They came the next day and did a fantastic job. Rick is a master carpenter and handyman. Would hire them anytime.

The contractor had to remove the single wall gas oven, construct a base in the existing cabinet to allow installation of a double wall electric oven, which included adding a breaker to my electrical panel in the basement and running the electrical line to the new oven. The contractors were punctual and performed the job in a timely manner, completing it in a shorter time than originally mentioned.

In response to my initial call, one of the two partners showed up on the same day, looked around, gave me estimate (which was correct) and scheduled work for following week. The city requires a permit for the work done and I asked if I should get permit first. He said it didn't matter -- the city only cared about getting money for permit. Work was done well, except they made a hole in a bedroom ceiling, which I didn't notice for several weeks. They neither told me this had happened, nor did they make any effort to fix it. Getting a permit became complicated. Rave said the city had a copy of their license on file -- the city saidthey did not. Rave said the city required a stamp on the permit -- the city actually required a stamp on the application for the permit. Weeks after the work was done, I still didn't have a permit and had to reschedule a visit from the city inspector, who had required this electrical work and some other work, before she would issue a certificate of compliance. When I finally figured out what needed to be done by whom regarding applying for a permit, I got the application from the city and called the number Rave listed on Angie's List to make arrangements to have it signed and stamped. I did not get a response to that call. I tried one more time, without a response. I dropped off the application at the address listed on Angie's List (someone's home) with a note asking for a call when it was ready, so I could pick it up. When I didn't hear from them right away, I assumed they were away on vacation and waited until the following Monday to call. The partner who answered the phone said, "You probably weren't listening, but I told you I would be on vacation and to call [the other partner]." I was stunned at the rudeness of his words and tone of voice and told him so. He did not apologize. He said that he was busy with other things at the moment (an excuse for being rude?). He also said that I should have known to call the other partner's number, rather than expect a response to the voicemail I'd left at the number I did call. I assumed the business had a central, dedicated business number -- turned out they use personal mobile phones and the address given on Angie's List is one of the partners' homes. I recently purchased a home that needs a lot of work. I hoped that I'd find a contractor who was fair and did good work with whom I could work in the future. Rave is NOT that contractor.

Someone showed up the day after I called to schedule an estimate visit and they were here 4 days later to do the work, which was finished the same day. They made one error that left a small hole in a ceiling, of which they did not notify me -- I found it myself. Otherwise, they showed up on time, worked diligently and were friendly. I would call them again.

All work was done in a timely fashion. Quality of work was outstanding. A superb job of cleaning up after themselves.

Rick and Dave are great craftsmen, fair pricing, neat, clean, knowledgeable, and not rattled by complications. I trust them completely and they now have a key to my house.

We are very pleased with the job. It was started on a Monday and finished on Friday. They described the job they were doing in detail and answered our questions competently. They were not the lowest estimate but not the highest either. We feel that they used quality materials and that the job they did will last. When we have other home jobs we can not do ourselves we will be calling Rave.

While RAVE HOME IMPROVEMENTS & ELECTRICAL is not the cheapest general repair people out there, neither are they the most expensive. They are extremely meticulous, professional, skilled and experienced in a number of areas. There is almost no task they cannot do. They are particularly at-home with older homes. We are extremely happy with each task they've done for us.
