be sure rooftop HVAC units were not excluded. When I scheduled the duct
cleaning I made it clear to the scheduler that the unit was on the roof,
that the roof was three stories high and accessed only by ladder. I was
told "No problem!". When the technician arrived he could not do the
work because it required a heavy machine that neede to be positioned
between the main trunk and the HVAC unit, and it could not be carried to
the roof. He promised we would receive a refund, and I hope to get it
soon. It was not the fault of the technician. This deal should not have
been offered to people with a rooftop unit a and certainly should not
have been scheduled!
- I originally had an appointment for service from 9-10. The day before the service was scheduled, the company called to reschedule the appointment to11-1.
- I called the company at 2:30 to see why no one had shown up and was told the service call was actually rescheduled for 1-3, but someone would definitely be there by 3.
- I called at 4 and was told the technician was finishing up his appointment, which had taken longer than expected but he would be on his way in 10-20 minutes.
- I received a call from the company at 4:30 and was the same information I received 30 minutes earlier. When I said I had just been told the same thing and obviously it was not true, I was assured this time the technician was definitely on his way.
- I received a call from the technician at 5:15 saying he was almost finished and would be on his way to me in about 10-20 minutes. At this point I told him I was cancelling the appointment and was not interested in rescheduling.
- At 5:30 I received a call from the company to reschedule my appointment. I explained I was no longer interested in working with the company seeing as how I had waited all day and had taken time off of work for the appointment. I was offered $10 off for the cleaning. I repeated that I was no longer interested in doing business with this company.
"Dear Member, we encourage every customer to read the content of every coupon You purchase, there are several offers for Angie's List Members, some of them have limitation for the number of returns or mains in the house, some don't and include all the vents, returns and mains based on 1 system, so going with the cheaper option might not be the best choice sometimes 'cos it might or might not cover everything You have in Your house. Every offer we have on Angie's List has an exact description of what is covered and what is not covered. Technician just compared Your purchase with everything that You have in the house. We do not practice bait and switch"
"You did not specify that You live in Delaware in Your first email, otherwise we would let You know that we do service this area. Everytime You call us, we call You back right away, sometimes even twice per day, but it's not possible to leave a message on Your phone and nobody is picking up. Angie's List should not sell our Big Deals in the area which is not listed in our Coverage Area, so that should be addressed to Angie's List, not to our company."
