Jeff Sorge returned our initial phone call, came out promptly. He provided via email a detailed written estimate. All questions via email and telephone messages were responded to within 48 hours; more than often 24 hours.

Jeff kept us updated throughout the process, enabling us to make changes and modifications as the project progressed. Jeff was very accommodating when requesting revisions. He made recommendations and was creative in the process. He also recommended places to go for supplies such as tile, limestone, toilets etc.

The entire team was professional, respectful, punctual, courteous and pleasant; so easy to work with. They were in our home almost daily for weeks, arrived 8:30 am and were non-disruptive. They were extremely tidy, and cleaned up after themselves thoroughly each day.

Jeff and his workers especially Dan provided precise attention to detail. High quality work! They mapped out the tile before they laid one tile. The tile work is impressive and everything came out perfectly, exactly as we had hoped for.

Jeff remodeled our main bathroom down to the studs and expanded this space; moving a wall. Taking down the 1950's tile was done with minimal dust; amazing. He created a walk-in frameless glass shower/w bench using the Kerdi system. He also added an additional full size bath that included a deep soak whirlpool. Installed waterproof sheetrock on walls, moved and installed two bathroom doors, and installed two vents for each bath that including a ceiling fan/light. He made openings for recessed radiators. Build a space to install a tower of cabinetry.

The wall he moved to expand the bathroom affected a bedroom. He built the bedroom wall and put the room back together; down to trim molding and trimmed back the carpeting.  We also had crown molding added to 4 rooms.

Sub-contractors that he hired for drywall, glass doors, electrician, Jeff monitored their work to our satisfaction. We hired our own plumber.

In terms of price, the price was well worth it. There were no unexpected costs.

I chipped a tile after the job was completed and Jeff sent one of his workers out the next business working day and replaced the tile for us free of charge. 

I would highly recommend Sorge & Garthe Tile. My kitchen is the next project and I have already asked Jeff to put me on the schedule.

Everything went very well. They responded to initial and follow up calls in a reasonable time. They made a few suggestions that we would not have been aware of that made us recognize their professionalism. They showed up when they said they would, and finished in the time predicted.They did most of the work in two days and had to come back the next week to seal the bottom. They were professional and efficient. The mess was cleaned up each day. We have no complaints and would definitely work with them again.

Jeff Sorge returned our initial phone call, came out promptly, delivered a detailed, thoughtful written estimate, guided us in areas where we could save money, as well as areas where spending more now would lead to saving in the future. He was knowledgeable about energy saving devices, worked to retrofit where possible He started work when he said he would, communicated in detail almost daily, and had a pleasant and professional staff. They were in our home almost daily for weeks, and were as non-disruptive as possible. The design ideas he had were great, and the bathrooms look fantastic and are now the nicest rooms in the house. The only imperfection was that we had wanted them to clean some existing grout, which somehow never got done, but was also not paid for, and his painter was not able to handle specialty finishes, or painting our skylight well, which is something he disclosed to us before we started the work. We would have probably been better off spending the extra bucks and time in having a professional crew like Certapro come in to do the painting, but it was very inexpesive, and pretty satisfactory.to have Jeff's trim painter do the whole thing.

We love our new bathroom. The tile work is great. The grouting and caulking is very well done. We are very happy with the wood trim and wainscotting installed. Additionally, from the first point of contact, the company was very responsive. They were the last company we had scheduled to see our bathroom for an estimate, but they were the first to give us an estimate - came on a Friday and received the estimate via email on the following Tuesday (the Monday was a holiday). All questions via email and telephone were responded to within 24 hours. On the job, the workers were very respectful and professional. They were very nice with our two young children who did not mind having them around at all. The co-owner, Jeff, was on-site every day and arrived promptly at 8:30 am each day. The work was estimated to take two weeks to complete and was completed in exactly two weeks. Jeff also worked with us to allow us use of the tub as soon as possible as this is our only full bathroom. Fast, professional, quality work! In terms of price, they were not the cheapest but also not the most expensive estimate that we received. I do feel that the price was well worth it. We did pay additional money from the estimate because we wanted a more detailed tile layout and a little more expensive tile for the floor and tub wall. The additional costs were discussed and agreed upon before the work started. There were no unexpected costs. After the work was completed, we did have a small issue with the tub drain. Jeff came out the same day we called and fixed the problem immediately. We also received an estimate for tiling our kitchen floor. We hope to have them do the work once we have the funds available. We received that estimate quickly as well. We highly recommend their services.

The project went extremely well. These contractors discussed the project in detail with me in advance, performed excellent, detailed, high quality work, and were very accommodating when some revisions to the plan needed to be made mid-way along, entailing redoing some portions of the work. They were extremely tidy, and cleaned up after themselves thoroughly each day. Their pricing was excellent. I would work with them again without hesitation.

Rob and Jeff were great contractors, very responsive and available via email which was very convenient. On time, extremely neat, great attention to detail. We plan on using them again for our upstairs bathroom remodel. The job was completed in only 2.5 weeks. Rob assisted us with the type and size of materials to buy and referred us to a vendor to help select our bathroom fixtures. Normally they allow you to pick and purchase everything through them but we had already assembled certain pieces so we appreciated them working with us to finish the design.

Contractors don't get any better than these folks. They are organized, clean, respectful and clearly explain and handle each phase of the project. Since my house is old (1910) problems are a given. This contractor handled all problems with great expertise, he shows up on time and completes the projects on time at the price specified. For each project we received an itemized estimate. If you live in New Jersey then you're in luck. Be sure to contact them well in advance to get on their schedule. These folks don't have a website because word of mouth and their superlative reputation keep them busy! I give them AAA+
