Village Sweep Chimney Service

I called and spoke with the representative in his office.  They were extremely busy due to Hurricane Irene.  However, she said she would have him come by when he was in my neighborhood and check what I needed and call me.  I really appreciated that I did not have to be home for the visit.  Dave called me a week or two later, told me what I needed and how much it would cost.  He then said someone would come by and do the work and they would leave a bill in my mailbox.  That was done approximately one week later.  I never had to be home for the service which was very convenient.

They were very good, very clean and responsible.

David and his team were outstanding by every measure.  Beyond being the deep-knowledge professional, they have the right attitude and a passion for their work.  I almost wished there was something wrong, so that I could have given him more business.

They were polite and cleaned up after themselves.  They were really observant of our dogs and made sure that they were not near by.  They told us exactly what they were doing and kept us informed.  I would highly recommend them to anyone.

He was really professional and very clean. He was actually early and worked around my schedule. He wore booties on his feet. They laid down mats and there were three guys so they were really quick and efficient.

This Chimney Sweep service was recommended on Angie's List.    The price I paid included the chimney inspections, chimney sweep , new stainless cap on chimney and clean up.   Provider arrived, first inspected from outside. 
Then chimney, fireplace and connections all checked.
Moved and fixed a loose part of my screen, and explained safe fires to me.
No pressure from the provider at all to include additional services, I wanted the cap installed.
David was professional, his helpers did a good job, I couldn't be more pleased and would definitely use them again

Great.  Showed up on time.  Everyone wore booties, had lots of drop cloths, and when they saw the relative clean state of my flues, recommended against a cleaning at this time.  Also, they did a thorough job--inspected the fireplaces, as well as going on the roof.  Inspected, also the chimney that serves the hot water heater.  Looked thoroughly for any danger spots.  I feel we are in very good shape now.

Was able to respond the day of call, very professional; cleaned chimney and fireplace, replaced damper.

They were thorough, and they came in the house and put covers on their shoes, around the fireplace so none of the soot would make my carpets dirty.  They were very clean, highly recommend them.  Will hire only them to clean my chimneys from now on!

David and his company are consummate professionals - from my initial telephone call (I believe it may be David's wife answering the phones) to the David and his crew, who arrived promptly at the prescribed time.  They were courteous and extremely knowledgeable and completely honest.  I asked to have a chimney cap installed- David advised against this until masonry work could be completed on my chimney, because if a cap was installed, David indicated that a "good wind" would blow it off.  Other less-than-reputable chimney companies had offered to install a cap without regard the chimney''s condition that David noted.  I would use David and his company again- and no one else -for chimney cleaning and maintenance.

I had interaction with him but I didn't do any work. I would highly recommend him from the interaction I had.  He gave me information for a particular job and he referred me to someone who would do the job. He was not able to do the job but he gave me information on what I should do and should not do. He was very professional and he seemed like they were a small organization. It was him and his wife and they were both very professional and very knowledgeable. They seemed to be in the business for a long time and he definitely had lots of detailed knowledge.  He was very honest because it was a job which he could have taken but he said someone else was more qualified.

He is a master of his trade and really knows his stuff. He teaches his own guys and is exceptional. He even offered advice on what to do with the insert. He was great from the scheduling process right down to the end of the work. I really liked working with him. They were great. They were very knowledgeable, well mannered and very professional. They had a great focus on quality. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

He determined that the chimney needed to either be repointed or refaced with a concrete finish. He recommended a mason, Sposato Masonry, to us. The price mentioned about is a guess as I could not locate the receipt.  His price was very reasonable and his opinions were worth every penny spent.  We have used his company several times in the past seven years to clean our chimneys.  Excellent jobs done by every crew. David the Village Sweep is HIGHLY recommended.

He also swept the chimney as well. We had a vent to the boiler that needed installed. They did this. They are a great service! I would recommend them to anyone. The employees were clean, polite, and worked efficiently. The owner came afterward to explain what they had done.
