The owner came out and gave an estimate, explaining in detail what needed to be done. As a side note, when I was outside after his visit I noticed that he left the ladder on the side of my house and I called the office to let them know. He came later to pick it up. Once we signed the agreement we were put on a list for them to come out weather permitting. We were told we would get a call before they came, but it was only when I heard the ladder hitting the roof that I knew they were there. The job was to take two days. The 1st guy came out on a Saturday, so we expected a return visit to complete the job within a few days. We got a call a few days later letting us know that the work was completed and the bill would be mailed. My husband told them that the work was not done, that the guy had only repaired only the one area. After double-checking with their guy, they called back to confirm that the work was not completed and that they would be out the next Wednesday to finish. Wednesday was a complete downpour so it was quite a surprise when again, they called to tell us that the work was done. Again, we disputed and learned that the work was not done yet. Within a few days, they came and finished the job. The work was good, in the end, and the price was fair, but had we not known what to look for we might have paid for a half finished job.ve

The entire job and clean up was completed in a tidy and professional manner with frequent checks by the management staff. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

There was a problem with our roof and they came out without question and fixed it immediately without hesitation. They stand beside our work 100 percent. We didn't know why our roof failed. It might have been our fault or their fault, but it didn't matter. They fixed it anyway. They had the best price around as well.

They did an excellent job! They showed up when they said they would and cleaned up very well. I live out of state, so I was not there when the work was done. However, I had a contractor evaluate it, and he told me that they did a good job. I verified that myself a few weeks later. I got 3 bids and asked for very specific things. I am a home inspector, and they were the only ones that were willing to give me what I was looking for. They were only about $100 more than other quotes that did not include the things requested.

We had a problem with water leaking into one of the bedrooms during a rainstorm. Contacted Deegan Roofing and they said the roof did not need replacement but nails needed to be replaced, caulked and the vent from the bathroom needed to be replaced. The scheduled repairs needed to be cancelled a few times due to rain; however Deegan Roofing kept us informed and promptly picked another day. When the weather finally cleared the repairs were made. The crew understood the content of the proposal and performed the necessary work. Since the repair was made we have had some serious rainstorms. The repair has held up with no leakage into the bedroom. Overall experience with Deegan was very good. They seemed to be honest (telling us we needed a repair and not a roof replacement). I would use again if needed.

However, I soon had the same problem I had prior to having them do the work. Water was over flowing and not draining down the gutters. I asked them to come back and re-pitch the gutters. They told me that they would; however they never showed up. They did not respond to my numerous telephone calls afterwords. Finally, I hired another company and they fixed the gutters properly. Any company that refuses to correct their poor workmanship should not be in business. I would never hire them.

Came for estimate quickly and on time. Their price was fair - I received five estimates - they scheduled me quickly. The team was prompt, it took a little longer than they anticipated. They cleaned up nicely, protected the landscaping, replaced the gutters. I had two things that had to be followed up on and they scheduled it quickly. Their office personnel is efficient and responsive.

I would use them again and would recommend them to others. They were professional. They delivered on everything they said they would. They cleaned up everything. They were prompt. Everything went smoothly.

This was one of the best experiences we have had with a vendor. They were responsive, expalined in detail what the problem we were experiencing was caused by, and quickly fixed the problem. I would recommend them to anyone.

I heard of them through a friend @ work. I called and setup an appointment. Michael Deegan came over, took a look and came with up with a Work Order plus all the necessary documentation. After getting approval from my homeowners association i decided to go ahead with Deegan roofing as they were the most cost-effective. Getting the job scheduled turned out to be a bit bothersome due to the bad weather and also the availability of the skylight. My skylight had to be custom made. My only gripe was that i had to follow-up with the staff a couple of times to get the job on the schedule. Once the date was determined, the roofers did an excellent job, right from mentioning what they were going to do (matched what was in the work order i had received when i first got the quote). They arrived on time, finished the job on time and cleaned up all the debris as well. Very satisfied with the work done. Very professional.

I would recommend them to others. They were fast, efficient and neat. They came early and did all the work. They completed the work and left at the end of the day or 2 days later. The price that they charged was fair. They were very punctual, professional and good as well.

The owner came out, gave the estimate and next day they fixed the shingles. It took very little time and I was not even there to monitor it. They sent me the bill later which was very reasonable and exactly the same price that he estimated.

When our roof continued to leak after Deegan's initial repair, I called and made an appointment for Brian Deegan to return and inspect the work and provide an estimate. I was home all day, so when the appointment time cam and went, I called to find out what happened. I was told that Brian came here early and looked at my roof -- which I find extremely difficult to believe, since I was sitting in front of 2 windows that he would have had to pass by in order to reach the roof! So I doubt he actually came to our house at all. I requested that he call me to discuss the issue, and then called again, but never got a phone call back from anyone at Deegan. I later obtained estimates from 4 other roofing companies and was surprised when every one of them told me that the existing roof should never have been installed because the pitch was too low. Deegan performed the first repair without ever mentioning that, so essentially we paid them to perform work that was highly likely to fail -- which of course it did. We then hired another company to replace the roof. If we had called that other company first, we would have saved money on the first useless repair, so Deegan cost us extra money. We've had some good experiences with Deegan in the past, but after this I will NEVER hire them again. Their customer service rates an F-.

They were very prompt. They gave me a quote on the spot and could come back to do the work within 24 hours. They did the work when they said they would. They completed it and they were prompt and neat. They did the work for the price they said they would.

Brian Deegan came to my house prior to the holiday and work was completed late January (was not a rush needed repair). Work seems to be done very well -- all the Deegan brothers were easy to reach and willing to review what needed to be done, why it needed to be done. The availability of their office and the prompt responses were very re-assuring. The only negative is that the crew chief did not understand exactly what needed to be done with the repair of the walls which was critical to the other work I was getting done in the house Once that got squared away, they were adaptive and the work got done. I especially liked the fact they come out for a face to face review of the work prior to asking for payment.

Our ceiling was leaking in a few spots, so we called Deegan to check it out. When they came over to do the estimate they told us it might be caused by a few different things, and recommended we have the vent collar replaced as it could be letting in rain. After sending back the estimate with our approval, we didn't receive a call to schedule the work and were surprised when someone showed up unexpectedly one morning (a different person than the one who provided the estimate). A few weeks later it rained again and the leak started again. However, we were assured that the fee we paid for this work could be applied to a larger job if needed. They've done work for us before and stood behind it, so I am giving them the benefit of the doubt and assuming that the job was performed properly and we just need a more extensive repair than was originally anticipated.

Deegan Roofing performed roof patchwork on our home which we felt was amateurish, substandard, and would be a liability if we were to place our home on the market. We requested that Bryan Deegan, the owner, come out to look at the work to discuss how to resolve the situation. His receptionist told us he would come on 2 separate occasions. Both times he never showed up. On 2 other occasions, he sent his foreman instead who wasn't authorized to resolve the issues. A few weeks later, Deegan sued us in small claims court without ever having requested payment or sent a bill! After paying Deegan the fee on the estimated proposal (we had no bill), Deegan then sent a letter stating that if we didn't pay his court and legal fees, he would void the warranty. He then dropped the case w/o even notifying us. We suspected this was his standard way of operating. In researching the court files, we found that Deegan had been a party to over 20 civil claims! Wished we had done this research earlier.

Terrible. F, F, F. I will never use again. No experience on how to treat an emergency!

Excellent. They did the job when they said they would and the workmanship and clean-up was very good.

After signing the proposal (including a 1-2 week time line for completion), the company never got back to me. After 3 call from my end over the next 3 weeks, they scheduled a fixed installation appointment and did never show up. When inquiring 2 days later, they were surprised that the job was not done by any of their teams. I finally cancelled the contract and decided to go with a direct (much more responsive) competitor. Really bad customer service. Overrated company.

I understand that extra costs may occur while doing a roof the unexpected sometimes happens, but Deegan tried to charge me for a broken fan (his workers broke) and 45 additional sheets of plywood, and 20 sheets were never used. I want to warn all of those who choose this company, beware of the hidden costs and good luck dealing with their office; nothing got resolved until I threatened of a law suit.

We have had a chronic problem with moisture in our living room ceiling, which would appear after every rainstorm. After the first time Deegan sent someone to seal the second-floor dormers, we had another rainstorm and the same problem occurred. So Deegan re-sealed the dormers. Another storm, same problem. Finally, the third time seems to be the charm, it has rained and we don't see any moisture! Most impressive about this whole experience is that Deegan promised to refund our money and provide a new estimate for more extensive roof work if the repair didn't work. So I believe they actually saved us money, although it took several visits to address the problem.

The cleanup could have gone a little better as even to this day I am finding some nails around the yard and my young son found one in the downspout the other day. I feel the quality of their work was really good though, and they came on time and although I do not wish to show the price, did the job within the estimate they gave me. All in all I would use them again.

Mr. Deegan came at the appointed time, looked at the leak, indicated that it was not a roofing problem but a carpentry issue with the window. He was quick, professional and helpful. I would use him in the future.
