Wanted heating system. He started asking me questions I have no understanding. I simply asked him to make an appointment so that when the tech comes, he can give me better explanation of the type of heating system. Inpatient, Rude, unprofessional. Hanged up on me. "If you can't explain the full detail of what the heating problem is ....., he hanged up. omg! will never call or use them again.
Response from PM Swimming Pool Service & Supply

"This person wanted us to come out to DIAGNOSE A PROBLEM, FREE OF CHARGE. This person was explained that there would be a service call to diagnose a problem, and the customer did not want to hear it and unfortunately we could not do business with them for that reason."

I think they’re great, just incredibly expensive.  They’re very responsive and always get the work done right.  The chemicals, opening & closing and maintenance of the pool are just extremely expensive.  The technicians who come out are fine.

My husband primarily deals with them and finds them to be an OK service.  Some of the pool techs that have been sent out have left a little to be desired.  We’ve contacted management to request that those techs not be sent out again.  One was careless with not disposing the container the chemicals came in and this was unsafe as we have two small children.  Scheduling works fine and you receive a discount as to how early you open your pool.  The earlier you open the pool the greater the discount.  In 2013 and 2012 we needed some major parts replaced and felt the pricing was a little too high with them.

I think they’re one of the better providers in the area for pool service however they’re prices are higher than others.  The service is inconsistent with them.

They were on time. They did what they said they would do and delievered what they promised. They stand behind the quality of their work. When there was an issue they came back immediately to fix it. They were very knowledgeable.

Mis-diagnosed a pipe problem that cost thousand of dollars of unnecessary digging work. Cost me to have $3500 of digging because they claimed a pipe failed to hold pressure when it actually did when they tested it again. Their mistake, my bill. Tried to bill for unauthorized work. Way overpriced on repairs.

PM Pools opened and closed my pool last season. Since the service cost is almost twice the competition, I figured they must be good, because you usually get what you pay for. In this case, you pay a lot, but you don't get good service. At closing they did not drain the pipes properly. The pipe between the filter and the heater burst during winter. PM Pools promised to come out to look and possibly repair the damage. I waited all day for them, called the office a number of times, and was told that a mechanic is definitely coming out. They did not show. I am never using PM Pools again and suggest you don't either.
Response from PM Swimming Pool Service & Supply

"After speaking directly to the customer and actually hearing his side of the situation, we now realize that PM Pools was completely wrong in the way in which we handled this particular situation. We would like to apologize to him and assure all customers that this problem of poor and inaccurate communication with customers will never happen again!"

Occasionally, we are serviced by people who aren't has knowledgeable as they should be. Occasionally, we have also had problems with some of the mechanicals with the pool. Sometimes when they should be using our pool supplies, they use their own and we are billed for supplies we shouldn't be billed for. I keep an eye on them. I would certainly recommend their pool cleaning service. I would also recommend their mechanical service, if they are sending an experienced technician. They always show up when they are supposed to. One of their employees had a temper tantrum in my backyard, swearing and throwing things around.
Response from PM Swimming Pool Service & Supply

"At times our mechanics do use chemicals off our van which causes the customer to be billed. When this occurs the customer has the option to either allow us to take the chemicals from their stock and issue a full credit for the amount billed or pay the bill for chemicals added to their pools. Most of the time this happens when customer's chemicals are not located in an accessible area to us or are located in multiple areas on the property. The vast majority of our customers do not supply their own chemicals."

They installed a good filter, but ongoing maintenance of the pool was always more expensive than advertised. They would perform repair work without asking permission. They even showed up for winter maintenance that I did not request. I pre-purchased chemicals to reduce cost, but they did not use them and charged me the weekly rate. They do good work, but their pricing is predatory.
Response from PM Swimming Pool Service & Supply

"Our labor rates for weekly service are contracted and fixed - They do not change through out the year. Our records indicate that all repair work completed for this customer in 2007 was authorized over the telephone. Any repair over $500.00 is typically approved in writing. This customer pre-purchased standard chemicals (chlorine, algicide, pool shock), the chemicals he is referring to are non-standard adjustment chemicals used only when called for by a water chemistry test. Our contracts do indicate that we will adjust the pool's water chemistry, as needed and supply additional chemicals for a charge. The winter maintenance referenced is an optional service on our winterization contract that this customer did request. The service includes taking his filter media back o our office, pressure washing, degreasing, and inspecting it. Upon inspection we found worn parts and quoted the customer for a repair - he accepted the proposal and paid the bill in full. There are no customer service notes in our CRM software to indicate this customer was unhappy. Our chemical price structure is slightly higher than what you would find in a retail store. The reason for this difference is 2 fold. The chemicals are supplied by us from our van so the customer does not need to travel to a retail store and purchase chemicals which is a huge time and money savings to the customer. We use an industry leading brand of chemicals in terms of quality."

Terrible. They would constantly identify problems and then not follow-up on repairs. They would never return phone calls. What work was done was shoddy and unprofessional.
Response from PM Swimming Pool Service & Supply

"PM Pool Service customer support staff returns all calls everyday. We recommended a complete pool renovation to this customer and quoted said project. The customer declined to have the renovation work done which contributed to the numerous problems he had with his pool."
