Down Under Waterproofing & Foundation Repair

Walt was exceptional across the board. He quickly responded to my initial call and was at my home within 48 hours to take a look at the problem. He called in additional help to make sure we diagnosed the issue correctly and came up with the right solution. Walt and his crew were extremely professional and pleasant to deal with on a personal level. I highly recommend Down Under.

Walt came highly recommended to me from the engineer. Walt walked me through the process, he and his workers were on time, clean and informative. A year after the work was complete, a friend of mine who is a structural engineer came in from out of state and wanted to see if my walls were done correctly. After scrutinizing Walt's work, my friend told me that Walt knows what he's doing and the repair was thoroughly done. We have had a ton of rain the past few weeks and not a drop has come into my basement.

Every phase was easy and perfect. Walter gave the options and the complete description of services to be performed ; workers arrived promptly at 7AM as requested, and had the job done quickly; very courteous and professional; finish product was nothing short of spectacular. They did a great job, and the Stucco looks great.

It all went very well. I paid half of the estimated work up front and then the other half once the work was done. They estimated that it would be a two day job but the crew worked hard and actually finished in one day. They were extremely polite and respectful, which put me at ease and allowed me to not have to worry about them coming in and out of my home. They also laid down plastic so that they wouldn't get any dirt on my carpet and flooring as they came in and out of the house. On the outside of my home, they dug all the way to the bottom of my foundation and made sure there were no other cracks. Then they filled it in from the outside and from the inside. By the end of the day they filled the giant hole that they dug and it barely looked as if anyone was there. They kept me aware of what they were doing at all times, which was also great. I recently bought this home and didn't notice a crack in the foundation during the home inspection. With that being said, I didn't expect to need this type of work done but I'm glad that I chose Down Under Waterproofing. The work couldn't have gone any smoother. It's rained a couple of times since the work was done and the first thing I do when the rain stops is go to my basement to make sure nothing is dripping or leaking and so far, so good!

Walt and his crew were awesome! I would definitely use them again. Walt sat down with us and "walked" us though our project. He listened, and made helpful suggestions. 
The crew arrived on time everyday, and were polite and courteous. They cleaned up each day and removed all debris after the job. 
The tile floor is gorgeous. The project  exceed our expectations, and we are extremely pleased with the outcome. I will use Walt for any subsequent work I may have, and will happily recommend him to my friends.

Walter and his team arrived on time, covered all of my belongings and basement entrance with plastic, and began working. The work was very dusty but because of the plastic coverings and the use of a vacuum, all of the dust was vented outside. Once the grinding was complete, they installed the shear pins and carbon fiber straps. Cracks in the exterior wall were also filled with mortar mix.

Overall the work was completed efficiently and on time while maintaining cleanliness. I would recommend Down Under Waterproofing for foundation repair work and will use them again when needed.

I had several contractors provide estimates and Down Under was the least expensive. Walt (owner) offered the same solution as the others but we were saving at least $1,000 over those other companies. Walt and his crew were excellent to work with! They were clean, professional and very thorough in their explanations of the work they were doing and the causes for our water issues. They completed a difficult job in just a few days time and took care of our problem exactly as they had promised in the beginning. The basement looks great and the area they repaired is now waterproofed and protected. I'm very satisfied with Walt and his crew and will be using them in the near future for a similar issue we have in our crawlspace. I highly recommend Down Under for any waterproofing/foundation issues.

This is an excellent company with an owner who will talk to you straight and do what he says he will do.  He talks with your through the progress and comes when he is scheduled.  The work was done well within the time frame and it was done wonderfully.

I was hesitant to have any work done for awhile because of all the opinions & pricing estimates I had received in the past. I had some that would scare me into thinking my home was in danger of caving in. The pricing was all over the place and the sales tactics were frustrating.  Knowing I needed to finally do something, Walt came out and explained the process of waterproofing the basement and securing my basement wall and keep it from moving more. It was way easier than I thought and financially feasible. We have had some heavy rains since the job was complete and not a drop. I also feel safe knowing that my walls are stable.  I couldn't be more pleased with the entire experience.  I would strongly recommend them to anyone.

They have worked from our design plans on many projects over the past ten or so years.  Have never had a call back regarding work performed by them.  They are well versed in carbon fiber applications, utilizing quality materials.  They maintain an excellent rapport with the material manufacturer and are able to procure product when needed, on time.

I had a horizontal crack running down my foundation wall which was causing it to bow, so I called an independent structural engineer out to give me an unbiased opinion as to what exactly should be done to fix the problem.  I then went and called 3 different contractors out to give their opinions and estimates for the work, one of which was Down Under Waterproofing. Out of all 3, Down Under Waterproofing not only had the lowest price, but their recommendations and solution aligned exactly with what my structural engineer had said and they really showcased their knowledge very well. --These guys really know their stuff! Never did they try to nickle and dime me or sell me on something I didn't need and I truly felt like the owner, Walt and his crew were really looking out for my best  interests in a time when they could have easily tried to up sell me on extra work.

They were very responsive and came out right away both to give the initial estimate and do the job itself. They kept my house clean while they worked, covering and protecting the other areas of my home. As for the quality of the work, both the foundation repair and french drain installation came out fantastic! My basement went from a disaster zone to a livable space again! Walt and his crew are true masters of their trade! They offered the best price, for a top quality job, that aligned with exactly what I expected, what more could you ask for!
