Description of Work: I called this company on 10/9/12 and the woman on the phone was rude, dismissive and hostile. I had a leak in our kitchen faucet which was preventing us from using it, but not an emergency. She dismissed all of my questions and told me that it would be overtime after 4pm. I thought we needed it done right away, and I'd already called 5 other plumbers who were busy till the following week with heating repairs and floods, so I booked an appointment with them for the next day. They never showed up. They never called me to apologize for not showing up. They never called me back to reschedule. Horrible company, would never use again, would not recommend them. I'm shocked they have good reviews here. Got my faucet fixed a day later with a good, responsive plumber, btw, with no overtime. In response to their comments - I'm not surprised that they would blame the "confusion" on me instead of taking responsibility for their error and poor professionalism. I was not confused about all the calls I made, I'm a professional and keep careful notes about all the calls I made & receive - and I booked a 1pm appointment with this company for 10/10/12 - the next day. They never showed up or called me to apologize for not being able to make it. They deserve this bad review and worse since they still refuse to take responsibility or apologize.

+ -1 moreTim arrived on time with a helper. Work was completed in the time that he stated. He did a wonderful job. We did not have a kitchen for two weeks so it was greatly appreciated. He took great care not to damage our new counter tops and cabinets while installing our new appliances.Cleaned up after he was done.
Description of Work: Installed a gas wall oven, gas stove top and sink for our new kitchen.

+ 0 moreHe charged per hour, but it took all of 15 min from start to end. He still charged me for one full hour. He did the job well and was on time. Not much of a personality, kind of a no-nonsense type of guy. He did do the job and was neat about it so I can't complain much. Just wish he cut me a deal since the job didn't take a full hour!

Description of Work: The water line to the refrigerator ice maker broke and started gushing water out of the refrigerator causing water to flood my kitchen. Called and they came that evening and capped the water line as I do not intend to use an ice maker in the future. Job was done quickly and professionally.

+ 0 moreThey could not find the problem and just kept replacing parts. Over $2,500 later, the problem was still not fixed. They worked on it from October to March. They called in a boiler specialist (when I thought they were the specialists) who advised them (it was a very hush hush operation) that the plumbing was installed incorrectly and it would be an additional $4500 to replace the plumbing. I'm sure they changed parts that were not faulty in an attempt to fix the system. They were very courteous and very good plumbers, but did not know how to fix my boiler. These are plumbers, not heating specialists. We had no arguements or problems, but also no resolution.
Description of Work: I contacted them to repair my boiler.

+ -1 more(Had trouble with drainage from roof gutters backing up and didn't have the industrial strength tools to snake. Walker Plumbing came out snaked the line that we assumed was full of roots but ended up being a cut off drainage line underground. Also they looked at some other plumbing work we are planning for the future with a washer and dryer. The rep. was professional, informative and did the job as we requested. Will definitely hire for our future plumbing work.

One company gave us the lowest estimate for the job by phone but when the plumber arrived, indicated that it would be double the cost; he also could not find the sewage main pipe and was going to move our washing machine to go out of the back of the house. I sent this plumber home without doing the work and then I called the town to ask if they might know where our sewage main pipe was, and they said it should be near the front of the house. I then called Timothy J. Walker Plumbing, and they came that same day. Jimmy Reyes and another colleague came with him. Without my saying, Jimmy knew exactly where to find the sewage main (indeed, it was toward the front of the house). He also cleared slow drain in our toilet and slop tub for no extra charge, and advised us on how to keep our drains clean using baking powder and vinegar. The company honored the initial quote given over the phone. I have referred this company to others and would use them again, especially if Jimmy can be the one doing the work.
Description of Work: Clearing up a sewage drain blockage. Water was backing up into our basement bathroom toilet and shower.

Description of Work: This is not the first time I have used Timothy J. Walker Plumbing. Not only am I familiar with them at my job but I use them personally. They are professional above your "A" rating. From Wendy in their office to the repair representative, they are true professionals. They do the job 150% or more. I would recommend them to anyone who asked for a plumber. This time I had them at my house was to fix the turn off for my outside fixtures. They exchanged my old handles to a lever which my husband loves. They will be coming back to replace my faucet on the utility sink in the basement.

+ -1 moreHe was here for just a few minutes and just did a little bit of work. I saw him bent over the bathtub, but did not see him do any actual work. After he left, I could fit a ruler between the areas he claimed he grouted. I only paid a portion of what they billed me. They would call me to pay the balance, I asked them to come and check their work because it was unfinished and they never came out, so I never paid the balance. Timothy Walker, himself, never came to view the work and my complaint. I would not recommend them.
Description of Work: I hired him to do some grout work in my bathroom. He was to grout around that bathtub, toilet, and anywhere else he thought needed it.

+ 0 moreThey didn't even mail me a bill until a week after everything was completed. I was pleasantly surprised to find the bill was only 215.00 (including tax) for everything! I feared it could be much more because they made several trips to my house over several days. They even followed up several times to see how it was working and advised me how to proceed with the 1st plumber who had made a mistake and needed to come back. I really appreciated the professionalism, follow-up, prompt service and rates from this company!
Description of Work: I had water spitting out of a radiator and called them. Very professional on the phone and very accommodating to my schedule. They arrived about 1/2 hour earlier than expected, got right to the problem, were professional and explained what they did to fix but that it might not really fix the issue because it could be a bigger problem in the end. They came back immediately after my call that there was more water coming from the radiator. They reworked it and told what to do over the next day or so to see if the problem was resolved- as it was really the boiler that the problem. They continued to follow up with me every few days to see how it was going and came again to check it out. In the end everything they could do was done and when the problem was 90% fixed they advised me to call the plumber who had put in my boiler 4 months ago to repipe a section that was done incorrectly.

+ 0 moreOver all experience was excellent. They were very responsive. However, they do not provide estimates. Price was set at $140/hr. plus parts. I was a little concerned at first as I do not like surprises. Nevertheless, I went ahead as I do not like cold showers. Plumber came on time. Did not speak much and worked immediately. Finished job in less than an hour. He offered to replace other element (heater had 2 and only one was completely worn) since there was time left on the minimum one hour and the tank was already drained. It was a good idea since it will need to be replaced soon. Cost me only $15 more for additional part. I am very pleased with the transaction and work performed.
