Very well. Fred was very professional and did a great job. He also offered a ton of advice BEFORE he got the job to clean the Chimney. After he finished the job, Fred called to give me some other tips on Chimney maintenance. If you are looking for someone that you can trust and does thorough work then this is the company you should go with. We will use Colonial to maintain our chimney going forward.

Went very well.  I left a message to set up an appointment and Fred called me back within a couple of hours.  He was able to give me an appointment within a couple of weeks.  Fred showed up on time.  He cleaned and inspected our fireplace.  He is very professional and neat.  This is the second time that we used him and will call him again next year.  I would highly recommend Fred.

Fred is the nicest cleanest service person that I have come to my house! He has a pretty dirty job and there is not ONE speck of dirt anywhere after he finishes. He is honest. There have been years when he has come to clean my fireplace and has told me that it was not used enough during the season and does not need to be cleaned. He is one of a kind.

Left a message on voicemail, and my call was returned the next day. Owner/operator Fred Heinrich asked a few questions, gave me an estimate which was agreeable, and scheduling was easy. He arrived on time, was friendly and professional, answered questions, worked efficiently, and was finished in about an hour. I've had past experience with cleaners with special deals who then proceeded to try to do extra and quot;necessaryand quot; work to increase their fees. Fred suggested a cap on the chimney to keep out animals and left the number of an installer since he does not do that. A nice touch was a scented candle left in the fireplace and a follow-up postcard.

Extremely punctual, courteous..job very well done

Fred (owner) was very professional, polite and punctual. He was very friendly and did not give me the impression that he was looking to nickel and dime me. He took about 1 hour to perform a chimney sweep and spent another 15 minutes of his own time showing me how to properly use my fireplace. He gave me tips on preventing things like back drafts, protecting the fireplace, and how often to clean it.
I thought he was just a good, honest, blue collar guy who took pride in his work. I also noticed that he did his job with a smile, and was polite and professional. I think that goes a long way.
I would absolutely refer Fred to anyone looking for a similar service.

We recently moved in to our first house with a pre-fab wood burning fireplace. I want to have it fully cleaned and inspected before first time use.
Fred Heinrich, from Colonial Chimney came to our place. He is a very friendly and knowledgeable gentleman. Although I had prepared and layed out some canvas drop cloths around our fireplace, Fred did lay down extra to keep our place clean. I didn't see a speck of soot anywhere after he was done with the cleaning.
He spent a long time explaining everything about the fireplace too me, care and instructions for use. He also went over all the wood burning products to use, and gave me some information about how to care for firewood and prevent any house fires.
It was a very pleasant experience, and I feel confident now in operating our first fireplace. I eventually want to replace my wood burning for a gas fireplace, and Fred will be the first person I will call.

Fred is a class act. This is the second time I use his services. First time I had him out a couple of years ago he thoroughly inspected and cleaned my fireplace and took his time to explain in detail how to operate it. This was important because I had never operated one before. This time he came back and inspected and cleaned the fireplace. Overall excellent service. Fred explained the status of our chimney and fireplace and provided a thorough inspection as well as tips for use and upkeep. The cleaning was done the same day as well, and everything went very smoothly.

Outstanding. Fred showed up on time with all of his equipment and efficiently cleaned the chimney in about 50 minutes. After the cleaning, he answered all of my questions about the proper usage of my fireplace as well provided a contact for firewood. My wife appreciated the little candle he left behind for us.
