"Thank you for your feedback. First of all, we had to cancel due to the weather. As explained at the time of the booking of the appointment, the work can not be done if the weather is not above freezing temperatures. We can not clean out gutters if the stuff in the gutters is frozen. Secondly, the day that we did have to cancel, we let them know asap and rescheduled right away. Next, as far as,"yeah everything looks fine", at the time of the appointment, everything was fine. Everything was properly aligned and the pitch was good. The winter weather will affect the gutters due to ice and snow being in the gutters. With too much weight from snow and ice, it can cause damage. Plus, with the amount of snow and ice that has been in the gutters due to this incredibly bad winter, when things start to melt, there will be dripping. That doesn't mean that we didn't do the proper job a few months ago. At the time of the appointment everything was good, and if there were still issues, all that would have to be done was for us to be contacted and we would see to correcting any issues."
"Thank you for the feedback. We do our best to keep the job neat, however, as explained in previous responses, gutter cleaning is not a clean job. Depending on what is in the gutters and how much is in the gutters, we do our best to keep the mess to a minimum. We were at this particular job for over 40 minutes with 2 of us working (which comes out to over 1 hour of working on the gutters). That is ample time to clean out the gutters. We do clean up afterwards, but sometimes it is difficult to get all of the clumps. These particular gutters had a lot of debris, which was frozen in chunks (basically ice blocks) as the homeowner said. We use a leaf blower to clean up afterwards, and sometimes the frozen clumps do not get pushed aside. We do the best we can under the circumstances and work within what the weather allows us. There was no way we could have cleaned up the ice blocks."

"She contacted us for snow removal, not gutter cleaning as stated on her review. We will only take on customers that are in our service area (Ridgewood) and that we can provide service for. Montvale is not in our snow removal service area. We have a complete route and can't handle any more customers at this time. We have our snow removal customers sign contracts with us to guarantee that we show up and provide continuous service. Our snow removal customers have signed a contract (that they signed back in Oct or Nov) so that we give them priority and prompt service. People get upset when we say no, but it would be worse if we said yes and then didn't show up."
Everything went well! Dave's wife, Elise, was attentive with the scheduling of services. Dave and his crew did a good job. Both Dave and Elise are reliable and pleasant people.

"So this is a case of he said/she said. When we arrived at the job, we did as we always did. We rang the bell, told her we were going to measure the gutters and would let her know a total before we started. We never judge a job by size or cost. We did notice there was a lot of debris on the roof and asked her where she would like us to put the debris. She said we can throw it on the ground, since the ground was a mess anyway. We agreed and got to work. She watched us the whole time we were there and never said anything. When we got to the front porch as she said, we put the leaves in a bucket so as not to throw all of the leaves on the front porch. Some did fall on the front porch and we offered to clean it up. She declined. She seemed happy at the time as she gave us a signed copy of the book that she wrote as a "tip". If she was so unsatisfied with the work, why would she have given us the book. Cleaning gutters is not a clean job and from past reviews you can see that we do our best to keep it neat."
"Thank you for the feedback. As far as flushing the gutters with water, we will flush the gutters if we feel that it is necessary. If we find a blockage or if there are issues that can't be resolved, we will use water to fix the problem. Not all gutters need to be flushed, especially if the debris that's in the gutters is dry (as opposed to being saturated with water). We did email with an estimate for the screens from our business email. It is possible that email was not received."
