"Angie's List would do their customers a great service by: 1. separating the two categories - one for (mold testing) and one for (mold remediation) 2. educating customers to never hire the same company to provide both services 3. advising customers to avoid hiring companies that offer both services (and not let these companies advertise on AL) I tried to explain to the customer that Angie's list does not separate the 2 categories (although I have asked them to do so many times) but he hung up before I could answer. This very frustrated customer is grading us a B for Angie's list shortcomings. I still receive many requests for testing although my profile states that we do not test and that we only provide mitigation services. Please note that you should never hire a company to do testing and then also the mitigation (clean up) - it is against industry standards to offer both and it is highly unethical as well. Yet Angie's list allows many companies on the list that do just that - test for mold and then clean it up as well. Please be wary of these companies as they do not comply with basic industry practices and are responsible for the majority of customer issues and complaints,"
