Repair went well. Will have to wait for heavy rain to see if repair took care of problem.

So far so good and no leak after they came to repair in 2016. I don't exactly remember how good they were. The only issue I had was that the asphalt color was a little off from my original roof, and they told be that it was because there's always a discrepancy because my roof was older. You can definitely tell that there's a color difference. Luckily my home association's inspection let me go with the color mismatch, otherwise I would have to do it over again.

Met with Douglas Carlson on the day I purchased my home for estimate. He was extremely professional and was able to meet what I thought were potential unreasonable demands. My wife was pregnant and we needed the roof done before we were to move in. He was able to do the roof the very next day. Work was all completed in one day. His workers made every effort to protect the home and were very good at making sure they left the job site clean. He made sure I was satisfied with all of the work over the next few weeks. I am so happy we decided to hire the Carlson brothers. I would recommend anyone who needs a roof to look no further and call the Carlson brothers.

They were very responsive, and actually came out twice for the estimate. The first time I wasn't home. When i needed clarification, they were nice enough to come back out when I was home. I was looking for soffit replacement and re-wrapping of my windows with aluminum. Unfortunately, they did not do the window wrapping, but, they gave me a good price on the soffit, so, i went with them. It looks great. There was a slight issue with the bill. The workers left the bill in my mailbox, which was almost double the cost of the estimate. I freaked out and called the company after I got home from work (after normal working hours). They were nice enough to call me right back, and told me it was a mix-up. The price was what I was quoted originally. I was very grateful that they called me back right away, even though it was after hours, as I would have been worried about it all night. I would definitely recommend this company to others.

Called the company for an estimate and the Representative was very friendly and very helpful. They came for an estimate and Rich installed the new skylight on a Saturday morning. The skylight looks great! Job well done!! More importantly Mom and Dad are happy too!

It took 2 weeks to get the new skylight (not a common size), it was installed correctly and without a problem with added protection against leakage in the future. The installer were neat and cleaned up fully after finishing. I'll be happy to use Carlson Bros. again..

They removed two layers of shingles, fixed a few boards, and installed the roof in one day. They did a nice job cleaning up. The gutter work was done on another day by a third party; the installation looks good but they had left many nails behind. Carlson Brothers immediately came to cleanup the nails with a large magnet after I had called them. Overall, we had an excellent experience and would hire them again.

In our experience and in our opinion, Carlson stands for shiny that turns into shoddy. High-nailed roof shingles (by inept crew during installation), over time, buckled and started falling off, causing need for premature roof replacement. Three roofers as well as GAF all confirmed the high-nailing, in writing. Roofers also noted that Carlson installed the underlying tarpaper vertically (the wrong direction, making house vulnerable to water damage) instead of horizontally (correct direction so water laps downward rather than into your house). Carlson claimed "direction made no difference, was of personal taste, like hanging wallpaper." [You can check this out w GAF, w roofers, with your town's Bldg. Dept.] Front soffits were unventilated. Carlson refused to acknowledge any installation mistakes. While technically not responsible due to protection by NJ 10-yr Statute of Repose, in our opinion, they came up short on integrity. Long story short, we got burnt. Suggest you go elsewhere.
