Berger Audio Video Solutions is a Home Theater Consultation, Sales and Installation business stemming from a love and passion for Home Theater. From years of employment from and the subsequent knowledge gained through Best Buy and their Geek Squad Brand, we now offer a full range of audio and video products, solutions and services. Whether it's a simple, standard TV Mounting, wiring your new home or business or providing and installing your dream system, we do it all. We are here to act as a consultant. We will listen to what it is you want to do and your ideas on how to get it done. If what you want to do makes sense, is the best option and thus will achieve the best end result, we will move forward. If it is not, we will explain why, and offer a different solution that is more engineered for your needs, even if that means we don't do any work at all, or if the new plan of action saves you a ton of money, thus having us take home less. Any and every job worth doing is worth doing one way and one way only: the right way. We are in business to make money, but we all work extremely hard for our money, and no one should ever be taken advantage of, for any reason. With that said, the ideal solution to what the end goal is may also cost more than what the original plan was, but no matter what, the plan will be honest, completely explained, and all will be comfortable and confident with it. We won't move forward otherwise. Award winning.

"Upon my departure, the client didn't seem unhappy. As far as the travel fee, I am working with Angie's List to revise that; I was under the impression it was there, I later realized it was not. As far as these gashes in the floor, I bring a blanket into every install where all of my supplies go. This is the first time I am hearing about it, and I'm inclined to think if they were that bad, I would have been contacted for replacement. As far as the bank situation goes, that's correct. There are several precipitating reasons for that, but that's not something that needs to go here. As far as the installation, the client didn't want to answer any questions prior to the install stating she didn't have time to deal with it. The only thing left for the client to do upon my departure (Save for having DirecTV come back to handle some other things they didn't handle correctly initially) was to find a piece of furniture to place her cable box on. Other than that, I showed her how to work the aspects of the TV that she inquired about. I even spent an extra hour there (Normally an install takes an hour, this one took 2) showing her different things and trying to get the keyboard for the TV to work. (It only works on the internet, no other area)"
"So the client lives in a co-op, where you need permission to do anything and everything, which is fine, that's completely understood. When I called her, she advised that she contacted Angie's List and they told her that in lieu of me hiding the wires, I'd mount a cabinet that I've never seen before, have no experience with, and have no idea how long it will take, so I told the client that that wasn't accurate, that I can't commit to doing that without seeing it-a perfectly reasonable expectation. I asked if she could send me a model number, at which time she advised that she didn't have one and that the cabinet was no longer manufactured. Not an issue, I get that. I asked her for a picture, at which time she told me she would go on the internet to find one, and she would email it to me. She also indicated that she felt it would be cost prohibitive for me to install said cabinet, and that she didn't want to spend what she paid to install it. I'm a very reasonable person, and I would never do that, but I understand where she is coming from-it's the holidays, money is tight for everyone, it makes perfect sense. So she advised she would probably return the deal. I told her I might very well be able to do it for an inexpensive price, but I just couldn't commit. We said happy holidays, and that was it. I already responded to this once; apparently with the clients response, my original response was taken down, though I'm not sure why. I'm an extremely detail oriented person as I have to be in this business. Some of the details are missing here, but at the end of the day, she decided to go another route. That's all there is to it. I hope the client has a great holiday, and I hope she gets this install done to her financial and personal expectation."
"A travel fee is assessed for any installation where the distance is longer than 20 miles from my home. Client is 50 miles. Installation is completely safe with no safety hazard involved. I do in my client's homes only what I would do in my own. I wouldn't put my family in danger, nor would I put any of my clients."
The job was much more difficult than I had anticipated, but Jay was fantastic. He worked diligently for about 4 hours. I would recommend & hire him again without any question. He is also an honest guy which nowadays is a rare find.
The job was done in a professional and smooth way.
"I can understand why the client is unhappy, but I have to cut the holes in order to see if running the wires is a possibility. No one communicated to me prior to my arrival that I couldn't or wasn't to conceal the wires. There isn't a way for me to know in advance if there is a fire stop (horizontal beam that prevents me from running the wires) in the wall. I'm not a drywall contractor, so I don't know how to repair a wall I have to cut in order to see if I can run the wires. Same way a plumber or electrician would have cut into a wall to make a plumbing or electrical repair, you'd have to bring in a drywall contractor to repair the holes. The deal the client purchased is for "concealed wires" not "neatly dressed externally concealed wires". Initially, I told the client there would be a $20 trip fee for his being a certain distance from my home. Upon arrival, I found that the TV he had was considerably smaller than what the special dictates. Because of this, I waved the fee. The holes I made are 2 1/8" wide and 3 5/8" long, and are hidden by the TV and by the TV stand. The client didn't seem unhappy when I left. I have contacted the client and offered to repair the wall at my expense, the client accepted and then declined."
"Deal is for $225, not $299. Just want to clarify."
Initially I bought a Big Deal at Angie's list for $225 on Friday. Jay contacted me very promptly, asking me a few questions. After finding out all the details, Jay asked me to cancel this Big Deal, and said he can get the job done at a lower price given my situation. Jay is an honest person. Furthermore, he was also very accommodating in terms of the schedule. Since I cannot be home during week days but still wanted to get my TV mounted sooner rather than later, Jay offered to come to my house to install the TV on Sunday. He came to my place on schedule, and finished the job quickly. The whole process from initial contact to project completion only lasted three days. I highly recommend Jay's service.
