Called the company and they gave me a date that someone would be here to give me an estimate to fix a roof shingle on the garage and reseal the skylites. Glenn showed up on time and gave me a verbal estimate. He said he would get back to me to set up an appointment. I waited about 2 weeks and did not hear from him. I called again and explained the situation. They said he would be here on Tuesday 10/17/2011. I called the day before to reconfirm and was told they could not give me a time but he would be here and I did not need to be home. He never came and no one called.

They called me the morning after I sent this report and said they would be there the next day - first thing in the morning. = They arrived about 1pm I am satisfied with the work and the price. I

My rating is based solely on the fact that this roofer first missed his appointment to inspect the job on Saturday. After giving him a buffer of 45 minutes past the later end of the appointment range I called the office and was first cut off then subsequently put on hold interminably. I followed up with a phone call on Monday and was assured by the person answering the phone that an and quot;associateand quot; would call me back with an explanation of what went wrong. No call.

I'm a big believer in and quot;You never get a second chance to make a first impression.and quot; There are any number of reasons why the appointment may have been missed, but the blatant disregard for my time and the lack of follow up sends up a major red flag for me. I don't know how good or bad they may have been, but given my experience, I'd never consider using this contractor, regardless of all the positive reviews.

Contacted Kovach in March to come and provide estimate. Estimate was done and was a reasonable ~300 dollars. I knew it was a small job so told the individual that I understood they would probablt need to schedule me along with other work. Had no issue with being patient but after not hearing anything for two months I called them back. Appeared they forgot me, apologized and said they would get me on the schedule. Called again in July, appeared they forgot me again (getting the picture?) but apologized and promised to come that week. Could not give me a date but said for sure they would be there. All week I tried to schedule so I could be around but week came and went with no repair and no phone calls.

After Hurricane Irene I had more internal damage from the leak so called again. They apologized again and promised to be there last Friday, before Labor Day. Took off work and waited around all day, at 4:30 I called and told them nobody had come yet and I was not happy this was happening again - they told me the day wasn't over yet (yeah right) and promised to find out an ETA and call me back. NOTHING

Don't waste your time, very nice people but clearly have no organizational skills. Customer that wants to do a job (albeit a small one) and they had no ability to schedule or give me any information that I could trust. Called them this morning and cancelled the work.

All I can say is that I would assume a large job would go the same, DO NOT recommend them at all. Take your business somewhere that values the Customer Experience.

The rep came out the next day, inspected the roof, discussed my problems and said he would email me an estimate the following week. The email address was the only thing he wrote down--no details about any of what we discussed. The estimate never arrived, nor was I called back.

I received estimates from 3 separate companies. The first came in at $1200 and was not willing to schedule a time when I was home to do the estimate. The second came in at $700 or $750, seemed knowledgeable, and possibly would have done a good job. I hired Kovach because I was impressed with Larry, his methodical approach and neatly written and precise proposal. Even though they were slightly more than the lower bidder, there was a professionalism that I appreciated and I was willing to pay a little extra to ensure the job was done right. The communication and coordination with Margaret at the office was also very good. The job was done quickly and efficiently, and I'm very happy with my choice.

I called this company in May despite the fact that they had 3 F ratings on Angie's List. Every rating prior was excellent so since they were local and had a good reputation, I figured they may be having some family related problems. They did come out for an estimate very quickly. The price compared to others we received was excellent. It did take a while for them to finally come out and fix our gutters but I guess the guy did a good job. Lots of rain lately and everything is holding up. Very responsive office staff; if you call they answer or call you back. They did apologize for having been a little slow; they had many jobs backed up because of the bad weather (winter and spring).

They were very good and they solved a problem that they didn't cause. They did our roof about six years ago and we now had a problem with our skylights. They figured out the problem and fixed it. The gentleman they sent out was very good. He evaluated the problem, got up on the roof, and fixed it. He was exceptional. He didn't try to sell us anything else or elevate the problem.

I had called for an estimate for my roof repair. They gave me as appointment on one day but never showed up. I called them to find out that they never booked for my appointment. Thy gave me another appointment. A man named Glen came to see me, but told me that he would have to come back because he is not equipped to go up on my roof. He never called me nor came back. I didn't bother to call them because I think they are not reliable. They only make me waste my time.

Nobody turned up and no courtesy call. Kovach had been recommended bu the local association, unfortunately it was a bad recommendation

They did not show up as schedules. They did not call to explain. I called to request an explanation and never received a call back. I still have a roof leak and am looking here for reputable contractors.

Responive and very prompt company. When I called with question, I had immediate access to someone with answers. They are a very professional organization. I think they should receive an A+ for responsiveness.

The work they did was fine but their customer service is lacking. They didn’t show up on the day they said they’d be here. When I called they had excuses but they still didn’t get the job done when they said they would. It took them a month and a half to do a simple job and I was not happy about that.

They were punctual, polite and cleaned up extremely well. I would defiantly recommened their services to others. the owner called me a few days before the work was to be performed and went over the work that was going to be done. Also, they sent me a "Thank You" card for hiring them. I was impressed with this as not many companies take the time to thank the customer.

Excellent job at a very fair price. The work was done efficiently, and all in one day. I would definitely call on them again.

Original cost was approximately $4,400 to replace roof. Unfortunately, when old roof shingles were removed, most of plywood was rotted and the entire roof needed new plywood which added an additional $2,900 to cost. The tear down was amazing. Tarps were attached to the entire house (rather than using a dumpster for cleanup). The tarps contained all the debris. Then magnets were used to scrub all side of the house for old nails. The lawn, shrubs and all surrounding area of the house were totally clean when they were finished with clean-up. I was happy a dumpster was not used because the weight can cause damage to driveways, in particular indentations, and most contractors don't even make you aware of how they are going to protect your driveway from these marks, including paying for damages caused by them. The new roof was then put on the house. The roof was beautiful when complete, including the pattern made by the shingles. Kovach Roofing is a class act. I got 4 estimates prior to using Kovach, but after sitting and talking with one of the owners, I felt confident, immediately, that the job would be done honestly and professionally. And it was!

They came out exactly when they said they would. They had to redo the shingles, put new wood out and so forth. They did what they said they would. Other people that I know have used them and people have liked them. The only negative thing about them was that it took them quite a while to get here to do the job. I had to wait for about three weeks. I felt they could’ve been quicker. They never ignored my calls, though. Other than that they were very professional with the service and everything. I might very well use them the next year when I am going to get a new roof.

Totally professional. The man took pictures of the roof area needing repairs and it was very clear to me what was needed to be done. No leaking has happened since they worked to correct it.

They do quality, professional work!

Absolutely awful. From the very first few weeks we had leaks in our newly renovated kitchen every time it rained. We called them to correct, first they denied it was their problem, then finally they fixed the flashing and the leaks stopped (after $1,000 of damage and repair to my kitchen). From the very beginning we had issues with gutter leaks at the seams. We have called and they gave us appointment after appointment, none of which they kept. My best advice is stay clear of them. In my opinion they are absolutely awful in terms of competence and service.
