They did not vacuum the duct in the attic claiming that they never do that.  The worker that came spoke minimal English.

Service went smoothly, and provider was very neat and courteous. However, the method used to loosen dirt in ducts was unusual and, in my opinion, ineffective. High pressure compressed air was blown into ducts in the reverse direction to the air system's usual flow to loosen dirt, rather than relying on the more typical use of brushes, etc. Since the air jet was placed very loosely in open ducts, most of the air was just deflected back out through the front. Very little dirt was loosened and very little ultimately collected by the provider's duct vacuuming system. Since the cleaning, as much dust collects near all the ducts every week as before, despite the system's having a new high efficiency air filter installed. I can only conclude that the ducts were not actually cleaned effectively.

Scheduling an appointment with this company was quick and easy.  The technician arrived right on time on the scheduled date.  I was at work, but my girlfriend was at the house and reported that the technician, whose name I don't have at the moment, was friendly and professional.  He asked her if she wanted the furnace cleaned, too, (coil, blower, burner) for an additional $25.00. and we had him go down into the crawl space and performed that service, too.  He also cleaned the dryer vent, which was not part of the original price, and did that at no additional charge.  We would use this company again, and recommend them to anyone needing this type of service.

I wasn't at my house for the actual cleaning, but my brother was home. He told me that a rep came and apparently took care of it, but I noticed that two of my vent covers at the house still had dust on them. So, I assumed that, it would have forced out the dust. I'm not certain if there's a blockages in my system or if their method just wasn't fully effective. But I haven't noticed a difference before and after Air Duct Cleaning came. I did run the air conditioner afterwards, to see if I smelled like a fresher smell or anything. I didn't really notice a difference. There's nothing that really stands out for me. I feel that the charge is a fair price for the service. The quality wasn't great. I was hoping for a noticeable different. They were very, very responsive.

They came and completed the job. I had 2 units and they said the deal only covered 1 unit so I had to pay extra for the second unit. They also said that the deodorizer was not covered by the deal so I had to pay for that one also.

After the provider didn't show up the first time I was very hesitant to even reschedule. They showed up 15 minutes before the time window they gave me ended. They were here and gone in under an hour (we had our vents cleaned by a different company prior to construction in January and it took them over 2 hrs b/c they removed covers and vacuumed out the ducts) and only blew pressurized air into the vents without even removing the covers. They left a mess if dust all over. The only good thing is the pointed out the accumulation of dust from construction in our house in the brand new HVAC so I had that cleaning.

Technician Mike was polite and nice and came on time. Work was performed in 2 hours. I am totally unable to assess whether the work was done well, because I cannot go look inside the ducts etc. What I know is that I continued sneezing in the house after the cleaning (as I was before!)
What I did not like: I learned when Mike arrived that the central unit (furnace, blower, etc.) was not included in the coupon. Only the ducts were. I had to decide on the spot whether to include them or not. I had no idea whether this is something you want to do in a house and how frequently etc. But I had to decide right away, or risk having to pay more for another visit another time by someone? So I said yes and here goes my price up to 350 bucks.
Another thing I really did not like: I do not know in fact how much duct cleaning really costs. I should probably have done my homework before buying Angie's List coupon. After I had bought it, I received an offer in my emails from Amazon for an all house duct cleaning coupon of $69!!! One third of the cost of Angie's List one... but no way to know what you get for that price.
So, maybe Vent Cleaning is great but I have really no idea and my perception is that I was possibly ripped off. I do not like to feel that way at all. I will learn about duct cleaning for the future but Vent Cleaning and Angie's List should know about my perception and improve the way they inform potential clients about these deals and services.

The only thing keeping me from giving the entire experience with this vendor an F rating is because the guy that
showed up (Alex), was a nice enough guy who took the time to explain what he planned to do and how.  He seemed very
careful in the way he was bringing equipment into and out of the house (even taking his shoes off as he went from room to room).  I had questions on what he was doing and he answered them and gave me advice on how to maintain the ducts and timing for cleaning in the future.  As mentioned, he was fine.
The biggest issue I had with this experience was the complete lack of professionalism and courtesy by the front office for this organization.  I booked this through a ?Big Deal? promo on Angie?s List and had to schedule the appointment.  Took a few
days to nail something down via email.  My wife then spoke to someone on the phone and changed the appointment
for Saturday, June 15th.   I reached out to the email contact on Monday, June 10th to touch base on the appointment, confirm it was still on and check whether there was anything I needed to do from my end to prepare for the arrival of the tech.  I sent another email on 6/14 and also tried calling the office number provided that same morning.  No response.   Like everyone, our weekends are booked with our sons? sports and other plans ? I found it extremely frustrating to basically keep my Saturday open (on a beautiful summer day, no less) waiting to see if someone was going to show or not.  He eventually did at 11:30 (appointment was 11am) and I didn't want to get into a disagreement with the guy before he even started the job as I did not want to have a strange in my house working p*ssed off from the start.
Not the level of service I?d have expected with my first foray into an Angie?s List project.

As mentioned, the
only thing that saved this from an ?F? was that the guy who showed up was at
least polite, neat and informative.  Other
than that, I?d have nothing nice to type!

Have been trying to get them to come out since I bought this deal back in February.  I am finished with this company and am now out $199.  It was an absolute and complete rip-off and I will NEVER buy another deal from Angie's list ever again.  Reading the reviews I see that so many people were ripped off by this "deal", I am bummed that Angie's List is doing NOTHING to make it right.

Although service was provided, the method they use is superficial at best and does nothing to actually clean the ducts.  I have a background in HVAC and was quite surprised with the equipment they used.  The service man was nice enough but didn't have a clue technically on what was actually happening with the air and dust flow through the ducts and at times was actually spreading dust throughout the house.  Don't bother with this one.

It went ok.
The guy came on time.

The only complaints were, he was not as 'friendly' as expected.
Also he made a mess and although borrowed a broom he did not clean up properly.

Otherwise good job

The guy who came was real nice but really didn't do anything.  Told me the job will only take less than 45 minutes and everything is clean already... did few things in the basement where the hvac system is and also took few minutes to clean the dryer vent.  Didn't touch any of the vents.  Left after about half hour or so.  After he left, we opened up few vents and saw they were really dirty.  We will never pre-purchase any jobs from Angies list again... what a rip off...!!

A usual duct cleaning consisted of connecting the vacuum to the main duct under the house, the technician connected it to only to one duct in the house, and blew air through the remaining ducts. In fact, I don't think he knew what he was doing.  We accepted the cleaning, because they offered sanitizing and deodorizing for the one price.  This was never done. The technician left our house in a mess.  We had to clean our house after he left, because he dirted our floors and left trash.  There was a communication issue, he also didn't understand English.
I will never hire this company again.  I tried to contact them, and they never responded.  I paid for this service ahead of time, and we deserve to have a refund.  I selected them based on Angie's listing, and it made no difference.  We still got dooped.
