Carmine and his assistant arrived, assessed the job and went about efficiently dealing with the water heater installation. I am very pleased.

UPDATE: DO NOT USE these people. The contractor did not like my review and basically threatened me over text. I went to file the permits and was turned away saying the information was filled out correctly. They questioned the contractor s relevance given the paperwork was incorrect. Not a pleasant experience at all. Garden State Water Heaters is a joke. GAS LEAK and POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE: I gave this company the benefit of the doubt and waited a long time before writing this review. I discussed with the owner several times what happened and I thought we agreed to 100 off the total bill for the massive inconvenience but I see that he was not interested in making this right. I called this company and got an immediate response. They walked me through my heater options which was great and they said they could come out that day. This was fantastic but this is also when it all started to go wrong. They were scheduled to come between 1-2 pm. I took time off work to be there. They did not show until 4:30 pm and without any update until I called to ask where they were. They were friendly enough when did arrive and managed the work in a reasonable amount of time and left. Later that night (at about 11 pm), I woke up with a massive headache and realized that the house was filled with gas. I immediately went to the boiler room where I could hear the gas spraying out from one of the fittings. I immediately called Carmin, who to his credit, answered the phone and then face-timed to see the problem. He recognized the issue and said they would stop by first thing in the morning (8:30 am) to fix. I was fine with this but it meant staying home another morning. Next morning, 8:30 am and no one arrives. I waited until 9:30 am (perhaps traffic was an issue), and then called Carmin, no answer. I called several times but no answer. Finally I get through and it turns out he is sick in bed but his brother-in-law (one of the original fitters) was on the road and was supposed to make our place his first stop. Long story short, after spending all day at home (lost work) and calling multiple times, I finally get a call from the brother-in-law at about 2 pm (nearly 5 hours after they were supposed to be at ours) and was told that he knew nothing of the issue and was not told to come and fix the gas leak. This brother-in-law finally shows up late afternoon, fixes the problem in literally 5 mins and leaves. I am a little angry this point. I lost two days of work at this point, we had no hot water, and were given multiple excuses by both Carmin and the brother-in-law. Unfortunate for everyone, Carmin was ill at home but the final excuse I got from him was that his brother-in-law had only 2 small jobs that day and he did not know what happened. Carmin went on to tell me that his brother-in-law was a recovering addict and ask me his condition when he arrived to fix our gas leak. Firstly, none the brother-in-law s past is of concern to me (albeit I empathize and commend any recovering addict) and it was very unprofessional that Carmin used this as an excuse for the gas leak and delay in fixing the issue. Secondly, after several calls, Carmin wanted to put this right somehow and I mentioned 100 off the bill (a small token given I stayed at home 2 days), but after waiting a month, that never happen either. I am not sure what to think these guys. Our experience was terrible and the customer service at the beginning was good but quickly went on the down slide with excuses and each of them blaming the other.

Carmine took the call at 7 am. He offered options and we decided on a water heater. He took care of contacting the condo board with licenses and insurance paperwork. His guys were there the next day. They removed the old heater and installed the new one in a difficult location. Very professional. They provided the paperwork the township required. Carmine called and texted to make sure everything worked and walked me through the process of increasing the water temperature at 8 pm at night. While I m waiting on the township inspection I would wholeheartedly recommend this company. Price good; service great.

Carmine was quick to respond, provided comprehensive answers to all my questions and laid out the pros and cons of going WiFi with heaters. In short, he was very prompt, knowledgeable and professional.

The plumber arrived on time and had all the needed parts to complete the job in a timely, efficient and clean manner. He was very professional and courteous and explained what he was doing and how to maintain the new water heater. The only way I could tell that the work was done was seeing the new hot water heater. There wasn't a speck of dirt in my house. Very reliable and cost effective professional work. Highly recommend this company.

He pushed for the brand and lack of experience of installing the water heater, constantly on the phone asking for help from a peer, and even broke my kitchen faucet after an instant. We have to spend more money to have someone replace the faucet. Definitely not recommend!

I was very happy with the service I received. Carmine contacted me the same day I submitted the service request. By Monday he had the water heater and it took them about 90 mins to install it. He explained what he was doing throughout. Overall he did a very nice job and they were clean and efficient. Will definitely use them again. Thanks

Mr Carmine was very professional, very helpful. He set up a new water heater and explained everything how it works. What to do and what not to do so we get the max usage out of the heater.

Carmine was super professional and worked with many limitations in our older house to get the old outdated heater installed and up to code. Greatly appreciate his prompt and direct communication and professional work.

Charges for some items were higher than qouted on estimate. Other charges were not explained in advance or while working. Did a good job, skilled, and pleasant. If hired, be careful to go over all costs prior to, and the day of the job so you're not surprised with a bill thats higher than quoted.
