Working with Lester Waxman and his crew couldn't have gone better. Everything Lester said would be done, got done. Classic removed the cedar shake off of my roof, installed 19/32 plywood, water shield & ice dam, GAF Timberline HD shingles, and installed new gutters. They also installed a ridge vent in my attic. The guys who did the work are no joke. They worked hard and efficient. I was home with my two daughters while they were working, and they made sure the exits to the house were safe from falling debri at all times. Lester is without a doubt a salesman. His approach is straight forward, gives you references, tells you what he's going to do, and what you shouldn't do. His straight forward approach might turn some people off, but I took him as a man of his word, and he delivered. It was great working with him. We had to communicate maybe 5 or six times since signing the contract until the job was complete and he was very responsive each and every time. His price wasnt the cheapest that I received from other estimates, but it was significantly lower than most. Ranged between 14,500 and 19,500 from 5 different roofing companies. The gutters were installed and due to the fact that my property slopes towards my house, they were very important to me as the old gutters were in bad shape and not pitched properly. Now, water flows away from my house and garage, and the stucco no longer gets wet when it rains. I would have no problem recommending Classic Remodeling Corp to anyone who is in the market for a new roof.

My experience with Lester Waxmen and his talented crews of artisans was nothing short of fantastic. Lester came promptly for our first meeting--on a Sunday morning!--and spent over an hour discussing what work my house needed. He never pressured me to do "more," but I realized that my old house, which I inherited from my parents, needed a complete "do over." Lester's team of Sherpas had the old roof down and the new roof up in two days! The new roof is gorgeous, with charcoal grey shingles that look like they could withstand a Category 5 hurricane. Next came the siding and infrastructure. I was unsure about color, and Lester gently suggested a beautiful shade of grey that had a hint of green in it. When the siding went up, with the white trim, I realized this color was genius, coordinating both with the greyish shingles and the green surrounding foliage. The siding team was completely professional, unobtrusive, and efficient, and completed their task in about 3 days. Next came the 35 windows, including those in my attic. Lester's window craftsmen, Chris and Ritchie, were simply phenomenal. They were so nice and trustworthy that I left them alone in my house, with my two cats, and went confidently off to work. When Chris pulled out my two 25 year old air-conditioners, he said, "Do you really want to put these back?" I said, "Of course not! They no longer work, but I can't install new ones myself." Chris then said, "Tell me where you want to go and I'll drive you to get new ones." We jumped into his truck, went to Sears, and bought not only two replacements, but two more AC's for the downstairs, so that the entire house would be cool. Chris then installed these along with the four windows to be replaced. He suggested "pebbled" glass for the bathroom to ensure privacy, at no extra cost, and I said, "Sure thing." While all the work was going on, Lester showed up almost every day, to check on progress and see that I was satisfied. Then something unexpected happened. My driveway suddenly developed a huge sinkhole. I was advised to call a general contractor and he told me he'd have to tear down the new siding to check the foundation. So, instead, I called Lester. I told him that the two huge piicture/casement windows on my front porch were now not level, since the sink hole caused the front porch to "settle." Lester was unfazed, and called Chris and Ritchie back to reset and redo the two windows, and replace the surrounding siding and trim. I had my doubts, but Christ and Ritchie re-installed the whole window elements so that they were "true." When I asked Lester how much extra this artistry would cost, he said, "Don't be silly; of course I would never leave a client with crooked windows!" Then he arranged for my driveway to be redone by one of his favored sub-contractors, Ted Weiland, and good-bye sinkhole, hello new black-top! Let me stress that Lester, during this whole process, was constantly available, via his cell phone, by voice or text. When you call him, even if he is busy, he answers and says when he will call you back. And does. After my gorgeous new roof, siding, and windows were put in, I realized that my grungy old front wood and storm door had to go. I knew I wanted a full screen/storm door, but I couldn't quite picture the kind of front door I wanted. Lester sent some photos to my cell, and they were all so pretty that I asked him to choose which one would best "do justice' to my beautiful new house. He picked a beauty, fiberglass, with a glass oval, that is totally classy and makes my house looks like it's worth a million bucks. I then asked him to replace an inner screen door, and he did so, although the door had to be custom-made, due to its non-standard size. Let me emphasize that his estimate for the whole job was completely reasonable, and highly competitive, and he costed out with me each door, as I requested it, to be sure it was within my budget, before he ordered it. And Lester will not take payment before the job is completely done to the client's satisfaction. Now, people often stop and tell me that my house is one of the most beautiful in the neighborhood! I had surrounding trees elevated so as not to hide Lester's work, and had a new stoop and pavers put in to make the grey in the siding and shingles "pop." All that remained was to get my foundation stucco--untouched since my parents bought the house in 1955--painted white to match the trim, and to have my collapsing deck replaced. When I called the contractor to give me an estimate for these jobs, I realized that I hadn't replaced my horrid cellar windows, nor my back doors, which dated from when Father Knew Best. I called Lester, and he came right away, and arranged for the cellar windows to be replaced. He said he will send me pictures of both fiberglass and screen doors to my phone, to see what I liked. Dealing with Lester is a more than a pleasure, because he is a total Mensch, and has encyclopedic knowledge of his craft, boundless enthusiasm, and complete integrity. I told him how pleased I was with his work, after the job was complete, but he nevertheless called me two months afterward to ask if everything was "working out." In fact, due to the fact that I am physically a bit impaired, I had a little trouble getting the Andersen storm door in. Lester came right away and showed me how to install it, and then did so. I am looking forward to getting my new cellar windows replaced and having some decorative back doors. In my opinion, Lester and his crews are a Dream Team, and I only hope I can figure out some more "improvements," that I can hire Classic Remodeling to do. They are indeed "Here Today and Here Tomorrow," as their motto claims, and more. I can recommend Lester Waxman and his company highly, unreservedly, and without any caveat: my experience with them couldn't have been better. Thanks to them "this old house" became "this to-die-for" house. Call me one satisfied customer!

Received thorough presentation (color samples,references, insurance,etc.) from business owner Lester Waxman. Got job cost after presentation. Very fair price compared to other contractors. Roofing crew (about 7 workers) was thorough and professional. Good clean-up into on-site dumpster. Lester or his son checked on work several times. Job was completed in one day. Another worker came several days later and installed water-tight sleeve around the base of chimney. Roof looks great! It was a pleasure dealing with this company. Lester handled everything (building permit,etc.). He did not take any payment until job was totally completed. We highly recommend this company.

After a couple of meetings with Lester telling me that he guaranteed his work, and that he was extremely reliable, I hired Classic to roof our house. His price was fair. He also suggested that we remove our attic fan, and put in a roof vent along the top of the roof, as it would provide better ventilation. One gutter needed to be replaced as well. Roofing was straightforward. However, they forgot to do the scheduled removal of the attic fan, even though they installed the roof vent. They had to come back and dig it out of the new roof and then replace the tiles again! Furthermore, the workers couldn't seem to cut and measure the correct size wood to fit the hole! I had to ask them to do it again because they were going to leave a half inch gap in the roof. That summer, our attic was the hottest it had ever been. I regretted being talked into removing the attic fan. I asked another contractor and he said there wasn't sufficient air intake into the attic, and attic fan should never have been removed. The only solution was to drill holes into the soffits to increase air intake. Now we have a very HOT attic. Several months later, I noticed that the framing under the gutter Classic Remodeling had replaced had begun to peel very badly. The water was not draining properly and was leaking into the overhang. I noticed that it was not flush with the wood either an didn't seem to be at the same angle as the previous gutter (as the old paint lines indicated). I asked Lester to come and check it out as I did not think the gutter had been installed correctly. Lester came promptly, with a camera, and took photos. Then he told me the leaf guards (which he had installed) were backing up the water but the gutter was installed correctly. None of my other leaf guards (installed by another provider) were backing up the water, only the one gutter Classic Remodeling had installed. Lester then then told me I needed to hire someone else to install a better leaf guard and repaint the wood! Basically, he was denying any responsibility for a badly installed gutter that had damaged my overhang. I was very disappointed that Lester did not even offer to rectify the situation by re-angling the gutter, installing a better gutter guard, or pay for new paint. This was not the response of an accountable contractor.

We were in the market for a new roof (which had to be a tear-off) and new gutters. The roof had 2 sky lights and the room with the sky lights had 2 windows (a double hung and a slider) that were in need of replacement. After interviewing 3 different contractors, we chose Classic for the following reasons: 1. Mr. Waxman was prompt calling back and arriving for the presentation. 2. He gave the absolute best presentation of what getting a new roof entailed. His information was precise, there was no "hidden" pricing going on and he showed that he knew his product and business. 3. Price: his was the best price by far over the others for all of the work that we requested. He was also the only contractor that handled both the roof and the windows. 4. He provided a list of his other jobs in the area and we contacted one who raved about his performance. The job started when he said it would and took the amount of time he said it would (one day for the roof and sky-lights--a few days later for the gutters and the other 2 windows had to be ordered). All time tables were met. The workers were quick and efficient and seemed to care about their craft and workmanship. I have a 4 seasons glass room that needed special care when they worked on the roof and that plus all surrounding areas were protected. All areas of work were cleaned up. The most impressive part was that Mr. Waxman did NOT take a penny till the job was done and he knew we were satisfied. We have experienced some stormy weather since the re-roofing and we are pleased with the results.

It went well. There were setbacks along the way (expected with old house) but Lester and his crew addressed it and remedied it. Lester was available via phone/text so I can communicate my concerns as they came up. It did take longer than I thought but the work itself was thorough and good. Additionally, his crew was gone by the time I came home each day so I didn't really feel the pain of the renovation. I look forward to using him to redo the roof in the future.

Couldn't have gone better. I don't fully comprehend how Lester is so passionate about the roofs he installs, but he is. I obtained 4 prices. Two who were GAF Master Elite, and two who I got from the phone book. I assumed that the certified installers would be significantly more expensive, but Classic's was right in their with the lowest. The big difference is that he included everything recommended by GAF, in particular drip edge. The two non-certified companies said it is not important, but the GAF site says that it is. Also, I am having leaf protection installed my Mastershield, and they said it is. Classic had the materials delivered to my house the day before they planned on installing. Rain was threatening but Lester had his Android app up watching it the whole time and they installed in one day without a drop of rain. They used all GAF products so the warranty is in tact. They had to deal with my solar pool heater. Lester called in a plumber to disconnect the PVC pipe so they could move it and return the following day to reconnect it - and did not charge me for that even though I offered to pay! He also replaced some older roof vents and said that was included also. So, they did a great job - clean, fast, and per manufacturers recommendations, were very competitive at the start, and absorbed some additional costs to ensure that the job was 100% satisfactory. You cannot ask for more than that. I highly recommend Classic Remodeling!!

We called and he came when he said he would. He looked to determine where the problems were and gave us a schedule for the planned work and an estimated price (no deposit necessary, payable in full upon completion). They arrived for the work on time and followed through on everything. Everyone was very courteous and they did a great job.

It was a very bad experience. After readinlg good reviews I did not expect to be treated so unprofessionally by a well known company. The job was not completely done as expected. We did not receive a call back or an email with the report of the inspection. We asked for a quote for new roof and did not hear back. Even though he fixed the leak, we still had water come in from the roof. Did not go over what was done. We made multiple calls to talk to Lester but never heard back. It was not worth the money. Very Very Very disappointed. Not sure if I could even trust reviews made on Angie's list anymore.

They gave me a list of items that they said I need to fix. I was expecting some repairs also, but it was just an inspection. The quality of service was good. He was on time.

After seeing the Big Deal, I called Lester Waxman myself to get an estimate as I knew we were going to need to replace the roof. He came out promptly and free of charge, did a thorough check and gave us an estimate. This happened in November of 2013. We needed a little time ourselves, but then the crazy 2014 winter happened, and the snow delayed everything until April 2014. Lester's price didn't change, even though the estimate 5 months old. When we finally called him to do the job (had to wait till the snow melted!) he was there within a few days, started and finished in the time frame he gave us, and it looks wonderful. Lester worked out a payment plan with us that met our needs, and was more than fair. I will continue to use his company for other work, as he also does siding, and window and door replacement, and would definitely recommend him to others.

He did my roof. Mr Lexman was punctual, called my right away, even though I am away on military orders he knew what had to be done. Sold me great gutters and finished my garage roof on time and did not charge until my wife saw it and was happy with the job. Also thank you for taking my swing set with your dumpster.Job was done in less 2 days. Clean job will recommend.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was fine. They were very, very professional. They were here for about 30 minutes checking everything over. They said the roof should last another 5 or 6 years and they gave me some information and prices on new technology with roofs with the hope of us using them in the future. Their price for the Big Deal was great.

They were very professional and informed me that I should have a new flat roof installed and gave me an estimate which I thought was a bit high in price. I will need to have the small flat roof replaced but since the price quoted is high, it needs to wait until I save up the money.

I was referred to Classic Remodeling thru the roofing manufacture, GAF and their Master Elite Contractor listing. The owner, Lester Waxman, was professional, prompt and courteous. He thoroughly explained the entire process from start to finish and educated me on what was being installed on my roof as well as my siding. His price was very fair and they did the job in the timeline they had said. I would definitely recommend Classic Remodeling to any of my family or friends who are in need of a roof or new siding. Lester was very professional, returned my call the same day, did the work the day he said he would and did a great job. I would use him again.

We were very pleased with their work. We had additional cost because they did additional work for us. The prices that they charged were very reasonable. The owner was here and he was very helpful. He gave us some good ideas and he told us that we did not need a new roof at this time. He said that we just needed some shingles replaced. They were very helpful and very good. I would recommend them to anybody. The price was very reasonable and fair. He was gone when we first called, but he called us back right away and came out with in a couple of days. They were right on time and everything about him was excellent.

That was cool. He called me back the same day I bought the deal and we scheduled the work for the next morning. he was on time and he showed me everything and the owner of the company came by too so that was cool. They came out the Thursday after I bought the deal and I wasn't charged anything extra. They put a little coughing around the pipes in the roof and corked down the shingles and did a little bit or corking around the chimney area and that was about it. The owner climbed up on the roof to make sure everything was done properly. There was nothing wrong with them. We actually spoke about other projects as well.

the provider caulked couple of cracks, took lots of pictures where the roof is bad. promised to send full report with estimate which he never did. no follow up either. this package is nothing but an estimate not a maintenance/repair.

Great at first. Replaced an old roof. There were subsequent leaks (which didn't exist with the old roof). Most were addressed promptly, including replacing a skylight. But when additional leaks appeared in March 2014, they were IGNORED. The company came too look at them, but there was NO FOLLOW UP. I kept calling every few months. Was finally told that there would be a repair mid June. The repair appointment was missed. Got a call 7/2/2014 for a repair the next day. Right before July fourth holiday. My family was out of town. Now, two weeks worth of calls have been ignored. Will be going to another contractor. Very disappointed given the size of the work and $$$$ spent.

Started well- crew and materials came when told they would arrive, but dumpster did not. Was told job would take a day, which was fine- I was not in a rush. Was told that all materials would be cleaned, no nails would be left, etc. Garage was opened to provide power for tools, again fine. Dumpster arrived during day, but materials that were left on ground were not all picked up. Many nails and pieces of wood were found strewn thoughout garage, in kids toys, in grass, etc. Pieces of Plywood were not correctly placed- leaving gaps in underside of shingles easily seen. Was told crew would come back to fix it. Dumpster remained for 3 days- during this time windows were disposed of in and around dumpster, leaving glass on my gravel driveway. (Company was redoing windows down the street but said it was not them doing it.) Crew finally returned to complete/fix the gaps 3 weeks later and after several phone calls. Job was done correctly, finally, but it was not the level of professionalism I would have expected for the price we paid.
