Called for an estimate and Jim was very responsive and quoted a fair price for removing the old driveway and replacing it with new asphalt and stone sides. Jim communicates well and was very flexible in scheduling this job around my hectic work schedule. His crew is great! They came around 7:45 a.m. and finished the job by 3 p.m. They also ripped out some deep rooted bushes for me with their equipment! Saved me hours of manual labor! I feel the paver walkway was quoted a bit high ($1000) but decided to go with them to get it all done at once in the same day.

Totally professional and customer oriented. Excellent, quality work done on schedule with great care to clean up. Worked closely to ensure what was completed perfectly matched the requirement. Shared weight slips for virgin asphalt and ensured plenty of stone base was properly installed and compacted. Have received many compliments on the work. Also, most reasonable bid.


UPDATE: FOLLOWED ALL DIRECTIONS AFTER INSTALLATION, STAYED OFF DRIVEWAY FOR NOT 3 DAYS, BUT 5 DAYS TO MAKE SURE IT WAS FULLY CURED.

WITHIN 6 MONTHS SECTIONS HAVE BEGUN TO DETERIORATE. I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS DUE TO THE QUALITY OF THE ASPHALT, THAT IT HAD TOO MUCH STONE. WAS ASKED IF I TURN MY WHEEL WHEN PULLING OUT OF MY GARAGE ON THE DRIVEWAY WHICH I BELIEVE IS ITS PURPOSE.

I HAVE LOOSE STONES EVERYWHERE, VISITORS COMMENT. I HAVE BEEN WAITING OVER TWO MONTHS FOR IT TO BE REPAIRED. VERY DISAPOINTED. WILL UPDATE THIS REVIEW WHEN FINALLY FIXED. I WISH I COULD UPLOAD PICTURES SO YOU COULD SEE FOR YOURSELF.

A COMPETITOR HAD THE MOTTO, " THE BITTERNESS OF POOR QUALITY LASTS FAR LONGER THAN THE SWEETNESS OF A LOW PRICE". I HOPE THIS ISNT THE CASE HERE. JIM HAS ASSURRED ME SEVERAL TIMES THAT HE WILL FIX IT, BUT IT HASNT HAPPENED YET, AND THE PROBLEM IS GETTING MUCH WORSE CAUSING ME TO GIVE MY NEIGHBORS AN OVERVIEW OF THE CURRENT STATUS.

I wasn't so comfortable that way when he finished the job. He haven't finished completely the job and he said that he finished. I'm not satisfied with All American. He said that they have to give me a seal coat and he never did it. When I called him back, he told me that he didn't do coat sealer. I told him, "Listen, you told me that you'd call me back to do it." That means that he didn't finish the job. I'm planning to send him a letter to go back to finish the job. It's going to be a year. He told me to call him in May, and I called him in May and he didn't pick up the phone because he knew that it was me. Then, when I spoke to him, he didn't want to be responsible to finish my job. Everything looks cool. Everything looks good before, but the paving being loosing a lot when it rains. It's loosing a lot like a stone. I don't know what's wrong with that. I had to get him especially for that to go and fix for me. The price was fair, good but I'd rather pay a bit more that they do a good job and they don't go to me and say they may have to do again next year. I'm going to be losing money. I want to be doing it for longer, stay longer and do a good job.

All American Driveways does not do concrete curbs, which is what the town requires that we do before selling my Mom's rental house.  Jim suggested that I call the town to ask them who they use for their curbs, an excellent idea which hadn't occurred to me.  I rated him a "B" on professionalism, because he got a bit wound up when I told him what town it was ... BUT I was laughing a lot, as my dealings with this town have been very challenging as well.
In addition to reading the great reviews on Angie's List, I'd heard great things about his company from a prior customer.  I was disappointed that he would not be able to do the curbing job.

Jim and his team did an excellent job. Driveway needed to be regraded and straightened which they did nicely. The pathway from the side of the house to the rear was expertly placed so that it curved to the rear of the house ending at the backyard patio to which they added a new step per Jim's recommendation. Heavy rains the last few days have left no puddles or flooding as was the case with my old driveway. Neighbors who have seen the work have all remarked how impressed they were with the job.

THey showed up exactly at the time promised.  They worked and finshed the job as promised.  The finished product was perfect.

Jims' team arrived bright and early Tuesday, 7/15 and removed the existing driveway. They then proceeded to fill the driveway with stone.  The team came back on Friday (7/18) at 7:45 am to compact the stone and lay the asphalt.  The job was completed by
10AM. Very fast work and no troubles from anyone. I highly recommend All American Driveway of Oradell NJ.

I haven’t decided if I’m going to do the job but they were good too. They were going to rip off the driveway completely and install a new asphalt driveway. He was good and perfect. I just need to prioritize a couple of things then I’m going to call them back.

The paving job was done professionally. Left for the work in the morning and when I came back it was all done. All debris was cleaned up and driveways blocked for protection. The existing driveway had a sunken spot that was quite large that was backfilled as well. Overall, very satisfied. Will refer them to two of my neighbors.

We had  our whole driveway removed and resurfaced with asphalt. Excellent experience from beginning to end. We met Jim for our estimate, he was very patient explained how they would begin and finish the job and made great recommendations. During
the day of work they arrive on time, some issues came up but solved all subsequent problems and most important finished the job on time. We were very impressed by how All American Driveways worked. They were respectful of our neighbors and took pride in their work. They picked-up after themselves and left no mess. They were good nature, respectful and demonstrated wonderful teamwork. What a change to have such nice, competent people working on our home. This company demonstrate the highest levels of professionalism and customer service that we have every experienced since we have lived here. Arrived on time, completed the job in one day.  Jim offered some suggestions that made the job even better than I had hoped.  I would highly recommend him.

Jim paved our 75' driveway with belgian block edge and 4' paver walkway.  Excellent work evidenced by beautiful transitions to the garage door.  Hire with confidence.

Excellent response, follow up, execution of the work and Quality. Completed in 2 days. Team was very efficient and professional and courteous. Jim was very helpful with good suggestions. They filled in an old drywell in my backyard at no charge.

Excellent. They were done in two days and did not create a mess. All debris was cleaned, sprinkler heads were replanted and all edges were straight and surfaces flat. Workers were respectful of surrounding landscape.
In conclusion, I and the wife were very happy with Jim and his crew and agree with the recommendation from friends that All American is the company to use for driveway and paving jobs.
