Michael had to order and pick up the part, He did well to return the same day/early evening. He installed it in no time and the unit worked well again. Before he left, he asked me to put up a review on Angie's list. I waited for a while... and after careful thought, I decided to honor his request. That evening I awoke at 3 a.m. I had a funny feeling about the heater. It was blowing fine next to the bed. Before I blew off the feeling, I smelled for gas.... it was ok ;) just my imagination. I closed my eyes again to sleep. After being awake for some time, and with a new baby in the house, I realized I would not sleep until I checked on it. I knew i was being nuts but with a 6 mo. old, I told myself, that's what a good father would do. And in return I could put that funny feeling away and get some shut eye. A rarity with the little one! When I went downstairs I could see that only half the burners were ignited... gosh... another repair... or so I thought. I removed the cover to find that the whole wiring of the unit was on fire!!! I quickly got rags and between blowing out my lungs like a mad man and swating and smothering with the rags, I was able to extinguish the fire. And then I smelt it ...the smell of buring plastic. Strong, pungent and poisinous. I blew out the pilot light and quickly searched for the gas shutoff. After calming down... I contacted Michael and he came in the morning hours to repair. If anyone has trouble understanding the extreme danger of the event, I can send or post the picture I took of the flame ravaged interior. In hindsight, I probably didn't have some sixth sense. I was probably breathing the first hints of gas and burning flames that had not yet reached a level that my conscious mind could decern. Unfortunately my tiny infant was also exposed to gases and poisonous fumes. Michael was apologetic and I tried to be understanding. But a real professional would not put a baby and his parents in such peril. He didn't even offer to discount his services or give coupons. He fixed it and left with his tail between his legs. A real pro would try to save the situation and customers. Perhaps coming back to repair his faulty perilous install was a little too much trouble. In conclusion, I will find another provider when I need service again. I'd recommend the same. Craig N. East Brunswick NJ

Mike from Air One came to my house and quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem...Would recommend them to everyone...A+++++++++++++++

It was perfect. I had no problem with scheduling. The fixed the job, and had a fair price. This was my first time using this company.

I called the phone number listed on a Sunday around dinner time. It went to voice mail, and the message said I could text that number and someone would get back to me in an hour. Since this was dinner time, I figured I'd text. After over an hour, with no response, I called again. This time Melissa answered. She told me she doesn't usually check her messages. This is weird, since her message says otherwise, but OK. We made an appointment for the following day between 12 and 2. Mike called at 12:18 to say he'd be there in half an hour. And he was. Mike found that the freon was indeed low and added freon. At $90/lb, we needed almost 5 lbs. Once that was done, the system was blowing cold again. Now onto the leak. He thought that the leak was because the PVC exhaust was clogged, so he brought up some compressed air and blew out the line. We'd had that line blown out a few years before, but the previous guy blew it out from the back end of the unit, and it was still leaking. Mike blew it out from the front end, where it attached to the A/C. This was actually in front of the PVC trap, so when he blew it out, he also cleared the trap. He also installed a joint to we could more easily blow that line out again since he said we should do this yearly. He didn't charge us for this work at all. We don't yet know if the condensation leak is fixed, but what Mike did makes an awful lot of sense. And the A/C is again blowing cold because of the freon. In addition, Mike was personable, honest, and a pleasure to deal with, and not afraid at all of my very well behaved dogs. And he applied the Angie's List $35 coupon to the work. We will use Mike again.

called Air One to give me a quote on replacing my entire HVAC system. When the A/C went out this summer the plan was to repair it. I didn’t think it was that old and thought the problem was fairly basic and fixable. But no one would listen to me. I was consistently given “explanations” and excuses with the bottom line being - I’d be much better off getting a whole new system. Mike came out promptly (next day), looked everything over, asked me if I was having any issues with the furnace (no), confirmed the compressor was good and gave me a professional estimate to replace the coil (along with a price to replace the whole HVAC in case that’s what I really wanted to do!) Because Mike has the experience and knowledge, he scoped out the problem immediately and knew exactly how to fix it. He did the job quickly and corrected mistakes others had made. I saved $5,000.00 I didn't have to spend to start with! Lost count of how many hours I put in, the phone calls I made, the research I did, how many people I had thru the house trying to figure out the whole repair/replace issue. After I talked with him, I canceled 2 other appts and gave him the job. In the future, he’ll be the only one I call. If you're looking for a professional you can trust he's the guy - hands down!

Spoke with someone, forgot her name on Tuesday 9/6/2016 to get an estimate. Scheduled it for Thursday 9/8/2016 between 10-10:30 am. Never showed up and did not receive a courtesy call letting me know they could not make it. I understand things happen, should have at least let me know you were not coming.

Amazing service! In the middle of the summer's major heatwave my airco suddenly stopped cooling. The Air One company was swamped with air conditioner calls so they indicated I might have to wait till Monday for service, but they would try to get to me (Saturday). To my amazement, I received a call back, and the lady calling (Melissa) said that if I would be home, he would come in the evening. Sure enough, this evening I got a call that the gentlemen was on his way to my home. He identified the problem right away and with a small needed replacement part, which he actually had in his truck, completed the repair and checked that all else was working correctly. Hallelujah, all working! Then he told me about a coupon I was entitled to, but did not know about. He credited me for that coupon and also refused to charge me extra for a Saturday night visit (by now it was 10:30 PM!) despite my argument that he should do so. I am soooo grateful to him (his name is Michael) and Melissa, and overjoyed that my house temperature is steadily dropping from the 89 degrees it had reached. I heartily recommend Air One Heating & Cooling Pros.

On the hottest and muggiest day of the year, my AC stopped working. I opened the unit up saw a couple of rusty broken parts inside and replaced them as well as a couple of fuses. The unit still wouldn't work. I scrambled around to find someone to fix. These folks response was fantastic. They were professional and courteous on the phone. With 45 minutes of my call a tech was here. As soon as the tech arrived, he looked at the unit and it turned on! Well since he had already arrived I was on the hook for the service call. He looked at a couple of things but it all was fine. The unit was working fine and blowing cold air. The tech refused to take a look inside the house or at my thermostat. The visit didn't last more than 10 minutes and the tech refused to close my unit with the words 'well, you were the one the opened it up, no?' They also wouldn't honor the $35 Angie's list coupon. I feel that I paid $100 for absolutely nothing. But they were on time. If the tech had at least closed my unit I might have felt a little different, but I was the one left doing the work.

On time and very professional. Before starting work, all equipment was shown and steps required to install the unit. All questions were answered without any hesitation. Again, extremely professional and knowledgeable about the work being performed. Explained steps to maintain the AC unit to keep it operational and in good working order. Highly recommend this provider.

Called the provider to get a quote and they gave a ridiculously high quote. I told them that they themselves were offering the same service on Angie's List and their special offer was less than half what they quoted me on the phone. Upon hearing this they mentioned that that they did not have an offer that was on Angie's List. When I read the offer, their name and address and they started saying that they will NOT honor any such offer on Angie's List as it was incorrect. I simply URGE everyone to avoid them and ASK that they be removed from Angie's List

On Saturday night, May 28, 2016, I saw that the furnace was leaking water. On Sunday, May 29, I called the company that services my heating and air conditioning. No call back on Sunday. No callback on Monday. No callback Tuesday late morning, so I started calling other service companies, even though I had a service agreement that I had paid extra money for to cover emergencies. I spoke to Melissa at Air One on Tuesday afternoon, May 31. She was calm, professional and very helpful. She and Mike fit us into their schedule for service on the same day, even though they were busy. Mike Bobadilla was prompt, professional and had the leak fixed quickly. I am switching to Air One for all my heating and cooling work. They went above and beyond in helping us out of a bad situation and my Husband and I are grateful that there a people out there like Mike and Melissa. Great Job, Air One!!!!!!

Fixed the issue with A/C, did inspection and changed the filter. Excellent service provider. Very honest and transparent. Highly recommend them and will be using them in the future.

Mike at Air One was a pleasure to work with from the start. He was very responsive to my initial call and scheduled an appointment to provide an estimate at no cost. He was on time, knowledgeable, and his estimate was less than half of what one of the big HVAC companies in the area quoted. He followed up with an email and a written proposal. I scheduled Air One for the work and am very happy with the result. Mike was considerate of my home, making sure to put drop cloths down on carpeted areas and clean up inside and outside after he was done. His work met and exceeded my expectations. I will use Air One again for my future Heating and Cooling needs.

Mike did a great job installing a new condenser on my 20 year old Lenox R22 a/c. Works great now!

It went beautifully and exceeded my expectations. The staff was very professional and responsive. Within a few days of my initial contact I had an estimate and had the work done. I had several estimates for this work from other vendors and found this price to be favorable for the same quality products. The staff was very conscientious about neatness and promptness.

Mike from Air One is an excellent plumber, he pays attention to the details and wants to make sure the work is done correctly. I contacted Air One for the replacement of a broken outside hose bib(faucet). The installation of the new hose bib required plumbing expertise since the interior connection was located in between ceiling joists with several water pipes in the same area making for a very tight space to work in and do the solder connections. When the work was completed, Mike tested everything to make sure all was in proper working order. My wife and I are very happy with the quality of the work and the new outside hose faucet.

I shopped around with multiple companies to get quotes for replacement of my 26 yr old furnace and ac. Mike's quote was not only the best but he explained what needed to be done better than some of the more expensive contractors. He also added a media filter which was a big plus. Mike is very easy to work with, professional and pleasant. He and his brother completed the job in a day and cleaned up the place completely after they were done. I will definitely use them for all my HVAC needs and would highly recommend them.

Mike and I had a phone conversation on the type and size of water heater we needed in our home. He gave us extensive information and also various options to consider for our replacement. He arrived a week later and he and his brother installed the new water heater in a couple of hours. They did an excellent job leaving the work area clean and taking the time to explain features on the new water heater. We truly appreciated his advice and are totally pleased with his suggestion. Mike takes pride in his work and is very knowledgeable about the various products out there as well as what will meet your needs. We now have instant hot water. It literally takes seconds for hot water to come out of faucet or shower. Thank you Mike for a job well done but more importantly for educating us with our decision. Mike is a quality plumber who knows his business and products besides being the nicest contractor we have dealt with in a long time. If you want a job done right - call Mike.

It was ok, but not transparent with the rates

Overall the job went very smoothly. The plumber performed the job in a very professional and courteous manner. During the proposal stage, contractor listened to description of the problem, and requirements of the job. Contractor made reasonable recommendations, and he accurately estimated the time and cost to complete the job. Contractor worked with customer supplied parts without any problems. Worked was performed in a expeditious, organized manner. Upon completion of the job, area was cleaned, and replaced parts were disposed. Then the contractor completed the written work order with itemized description of work and warranty information. Customer mentioned other jobs that need to be done around the house, and the contractor inspected and give verbal description of recommendations for other jobs. Written estimate(s) to be submitted in the near future.
