TEACHERS MOVING INC

I had contacted Rick in August regarding the move from our home in NJ to NC.  He was very professional. Both he and Dave Went over everything with me.  Of the 5 movers that I had contacted for an estimate, Teacher's was the very highest, but enabled us to have our own dedicated truck; not piled in with others.  Our home is on a steep hill and they had many, many steps and two floors of furniture and boxes to load.  Seven very polite and hardy men came on Sept 19th to do the "loading and packing". It was a hard move due to our location, but they worked like crazy.  That Sunday, Sept. 21 after a day of travel , two of the original seven,  unloaded our "stuff" into our storage unit.  Another long day for them.  I have much admiration for all of them. They were not only hard working but took the time to ensure that we were happy with what was going on.  It was expensive, but well worth the money.  I would highly recommend them for their service, attitude and work ethic. They were wonderful, and thank you all for all that you did for us.

I had the out to give me a price quote on Friday... the quote was reasonable and Rick seemed like a good guy. I told him that I needed to move this Wednesday and only this Wednesday and he told me that would be no problem. Then, about five minute ago, he called me up to tell me Wednesday wasn't available and we had a miscommunication?!?!?!? I'm basically up sh*ts creek since Wednesday is two days away and it is the only day I can move. I CHOSE THEM BASED OFF THEIR HIGH REVIEWS ON HERE BUT BE SAFE AND GO WITH ANOTHER COMPANY... Apparently they are good movers but are undependable so don't risk it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This Company is the best!  From the call for a quote to saying goodbye these guys were great to work with. They were the lowest and they were on time, very professional, great humor in the moving process.  Took good care of all furniture and "fragile" boxes. And they moved me on a very HOT July day...they still did a Great Job!

Incredibles moved every bit of my stuff like it was gold. They took great care not to damage any walls or floors. Tony disconnected my washer at one end and connected at the other. I contacted Teachers Moving after a terrible experience with the movers who moved me out of my previous home. The previous movers still had my stuff in storage so I had no choice but to use them. I needed Teachers to move only the furniture from my apartment. I was in a bind and needed someone on very short notice. I contacted Rick on Monday and he was able to accommodate a Friday morning move. The crew showed up on time. They were a great bunch of guys. They immediately went to work and even took a few other things for me that I hadn't requested originally. They moved quick, but made sure that my things were taken care of. The job went quicker than I had anticipated and smoother than I could have hoped for. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone I know.

I contacted  Teacher's Moving, Inc., for a quote to move items I had in a Storage Facility to a POD located in the driveway of my home. I had called three different companies and got three different quotes, and Teacher's Moving was the best one. I can't say enough about the professionalism of this group, everything went very smoothly from the beginning to the end.  What I was told is exactly what happened.  The three movers (Andre, Rob & Aaron) who arrived at the storage facility were punctual, professional and did a great job.  They took great care in the handling of all of the items to be moved, and treated them as if it was their own.  They carefully wrapped all of the furniture and  gently moved everything out of the storage unit. into their truck.   They explained and pointed out things that I needed to know.  I was very pleased and impressed with how well they worked as a Team and got the job done in a timely manner.
The same care was given when we arrived at my house.  They helped me when I have a problem opening the POD door, and took great care when they moved the items from their truck to the POD.  They placed the items in the POD very neatly and actually arranged them so it would make it easier for me to access the items that I needed quickly.   And, I can actually walk into the POD because they place everything in a U-Shape.  This is exactly what I wanted.  It was a very considerate of them to do this for me.   
I want to Thank the people at Teacher's Moving, Inc., especially Andre, Rob & Aaron, for being so efficient, and the people I spoke to over the phone, and I think their names were Tom, Richard, and David.  All my phone calls were answered promptly, or if I had to leave a message I was quickly called back.  They were patient and easy to work with and answered all my questions. It's a great Company and I would definitely highly recommend them and use them again. 

From first call to when the three movers pulled away, it was fabulous! They were considerate, thorough, respectful, careful with all my furniture and very pleasant. They exceeded my expectations!

We called on short notice (less than 2 weeks prior to needing to move) and Rick came out just a couple days later.  We walked through the house, he was very pleasant and explained their process and provided an emailed estimate the next morning.  The crew showed up on time, the entire crew walked through the house and made us feel very at ease with their process.  They wrapped up the furniture in blankets, stretched wrapped the couches, took all the boxes from all floors including a basement storage unit.  They all were very professional and easy to work with.  
They did bring an extra man, which changed the per hour requirement, but it ended up needing that person.  The original estimate was a min of 8 hrs for 4 guys.  They brought 5 guys and the minimum went away but they still worked 7.5 hrs (they were there for 8 minus lunch).  All in all we have only found one item that was damaged which is really good for moving.

Our move went extremely well.  The movers were prompt and went over our intial order before they started.  They worked through the rooms packing and loading each room quickly and efficiently.  They took care with my good furniture, wrapping each piece before it was loaded.  Our move included storing our furniture on the truck for two nights before they could deliver the furniture to our new home.  I have to say that all the men that moved us were extremely courteous and accommodating.  What ever we asked, they did.  I would suggest that you use their boxes as the boxes I used from storage facilities and the local Home stores were flimsy.  One of my boxes got wet along with the contents as it was storming on the initial day.  We hung the garmentsto dry and two days after the move a rep from Teachers came back to install a mirror and he also looked at the garments and I was able to take some of the garments to the cleaners and send the bill to the company. 
All in all a very good move if a move can be good.  They made a very stressful situation somewhat easier with their confidence and efficiency.

I had 3 nice men (Antoine, Anatoly and sorry I forgot the 3rd) who did my move. They were professional and efficient. Wrapped my furniture to keep it secure. Made sure that everything I wanted to be taken out of apartment was taken.They even had to walk my couch down the stairs (6th floor)  which was to large for the elevator.  Once in my new place they set up everything where I asked them to. They even provide a sense of humor on a very stressful day. Thank you Teacher's for a wonderful moving experience.

The quote process went very well.  They came to our house and went over everything with my wife.  Andre and crew were right on time for moving day.  The guys were a pleasure to work with.  They worked hard and were very careful for the furniture and the walls.  Everything was very well wrapped and unwrapped.  The guys were a pleasure to have around.  I wouldn't move again without calling Teachers and asking for Andre and crew.  Highly recommended.

The job went well.  Very responsive to my first call. They were able to give me a quote by phone...scheduled quickly and even when I threw them a curve ball to pick up a piece of furniture at a local store...it was done!   The guys were thoughtful, careful and professional.

The estimate was spot on, the communication was excellent, and everything was delivered without damage. (One small item went missing and they didn't hesistate to take care of it...after checking everything they could. EXCELLENT!)

It was, by far, the best experience I have had with a moving company.

A representative promptly came to the house and gave me a written estimate of the move. The move was going to be from the house, into storage, and after renovations to the property, a move back into the house.  I confirmed the pricing and asked if there were any further discounts available due to the Angie's List referral.  The representative offered a potential discount on the storage charge which I said would seal the deal.  He said he would call the following morning.

When the rep called, he informed me that not only could he not do my move on the day we discussed, but he could not do the move within a week of the day discussed. He also informed me that due to a job they were doing, they would not have any storage space for my belongs.

I am now in a serious financial bind since I had selected Teachers and now had to revisit the other estimates from other moving companies.  How could a job be discussed on a Wednesday at 4 pm and by 9 am the next day, everything discussed was no longer able to be accomplished?

This is my first experience with Angie's List referrals, and I am furious at the situation I have been put in. If you deal with Teachers Moving, just be aware that their word is not very meaningful.  When I spoke to their representative, he thought they were blameless, since they had called to tell me they could not do what they said the day before.  He chalked it up to them being in business to do moves and things change all the time based on business circumstances.  Sounds to me like they got a better opportunity and I was collateral damage.

Brian was very helpful & when giving the quote. Brian & his men arrived promptly on the day of the move, worked quickly & professional, were very courtious & polite ( actually quite fun) and made what I thought was going to be a long stressful day as short quick & easy move. I would most certainly use them again, as well as refer them to anyone that I know will need their services in the future!  They were great with excellant service & good pricing!  :O)

Since the job only took a few hours, (and did not entail leaving the house) the owner waived the $500 minimum and even included setting up my 2 new cribs. Movers were professional and pleasant and I would definitely recommend this company. I have had several very bad experiences with moving companies, and it is refreshing to find a company that is honest and hires people who are hard-working.

Teachers has done several moves for us and they are great! Would recommend. Experienced and pleasant movers and nice people in the office.
