It looks great!! We had a number of estimates for the work and Ed Shaw, the owner, came out a few times and rewrote the estimates to match our changing requirements. His price was in the middle and we chose him because of his previous good work on the roof of the main house.

Because of a family medical emergency we were not there when they started work, so maybe that's why it took a bit longer than we had expected, plus they ran into a couple of unexpected problems. Ed did more than what was on the specs to make sure that the end result would be a good job and went over the cost estimate, needing extra plywood and fascia boards, etc., without calling us since he knew we were frazzled by the medical problems.

Once we were able to go and see the results we were very happy. He came to explain what he had to do, over and above the specs, and explained that he would abide by the original estimate, since he hadn't contacted us for an OK! However, we will share the overage costs with him. We would, and will, recommend him to anyone who wants a good job at a reasonable cost.

The owner came out with a crew of 4 and did the job in one day. The only negative thing is that when they removed the non-functioning chimney and threw one of the cinder blocks down, they broke a flagstone slab making up the back patio. Other than that it was a professional job, done on time and in budget, nicely cleaned up - and it looks great.

I had not realized just how good the roof looks until we got another roof job done recently on another house and there is just no comparison! Maybe it is the color difference or the shingle brand - or most likely, the workmanship!
