Modern Fence is an excellent company to do business with. I found them here on Angie's list and all I can say is Ken and his crew have it together! As others reported, Ken is extremely professional, curtious, and extremely knowledgable. He took his time explaining and educating me on the differences between brands and product quality. He presented me with factual information, options and best approach to our fencing needs. He managed my expectations extremely well. I had received 2 other estimates prior to contacting Ken but after our first meeting which took about 1.5 hours - yes 1.5 hours (others spent about 15 minutes with me), I knew that I will work with Ken for our fence needs. What Ken promised - was delivered, on time, on budget, with high degree of excellent service. The end result was a beautiful fence, now neighbors are jealous :) I would recommend Ken and his company to anyone who wants a great experience combined with a good price. Thank you Modern Fence.

the owner(KEN) was at the site at various times throught installation. he personally approved and guided each step of the job. the individual workmen at our home checked each phase with us and were very responsive to any and all requests. the product is exceptional. the crew responded to each question and concern. (and there were many:)! the finished product is beautiful. one piece of one section was cracked. upon calling this to their attention, they immediately returned and solved the problem. we highly recommend Modern Fence to anyone requiring this service. ken and his wife were unfailingly pleasant and cooperative.the fence is a beautiful addition to our property.Modern Fence made what could have been a stressful time quite pleasant.

Modern Fence has done a lot of work around my area with positive feedback. They are very professional.

They did a very good job overall and Ken, the manager, was very good to give quick and detailed estimate. They were the best in advising us and the cheapest, too. We had half of our yard done, the second half will be done in the spring. Also, we initially wanted to install an automatic gate opening system and Ken was very good to arrange and explain our options. This part of the job did not go through though because of the welding company Modern Fence works with raised the price for the installation of the mechanical system since the initial discussion we had (ca. $1800.00 to $4000.00). No fault of Ken's though, he did his part of the job well.

Got information on contractor from another website. Ken called us right away and we set up an appointment to discuss the project. He was punctual and professional. He uses very exact and specific tools to measure the area. He also took the time to listen to our needs and made some suggestions on how to lower our costs as price was one of the factors for us. He was very good on his follow up as well. Not too pushy. We were about ready to go ahead with the project but some other more urgent need came up and took priority over how we are to use our funds. We will definitely use him in the future when we are ready for our fence.

Ken, the owner/estimator, came with his Tablet PC and a "Fencing" software that he uses to draw the fence diagram (length, gates, etc). I had the option of selecting several fence types and posts. For every one of these combination of fence and posts, the software spits out the price immediately. Ken also had a small wireless printer attached and so he was able to print the Estimates right in front of you so that you can compare them and discuss with other family members at a later time. I was also invited to Modern Fence office and assembly location to look at the products and see their operations. Overall, this is one of the best small business operations I have ever seen--just too good to believe. Unfortunately, when we applied for the permit with the township, after 4 weeks, the township told us that there is a 10' Conservation Easement and we have to install the fence beyond that. This does not work for us. So, we canceled the project. However, when I called Ken to give the bad news, he was totally understanding and he had come across these kinds or restrictions before. I again say that I am just a total stranger to Ken and his company and I just loved the way he provided the estimate, the price was perfect, his negotiations were professional and he was willing to work with us. I highly recommend Modern Fence.

They were prompt, fast did a great job. This is the second time I used Modern Fence! Ken the owner is wonderful.
